I saw a bucket of 1400 rem 22 lr sell on gunbroker for almost 400 bucks last weekend. I feel the exact same as you. I have so much of everything I really should sell and make some stupid money. Only I have a sickening feeling this time might be different....... .

Consumables will be the first to go....Primers first, then the closing of Lead mines, new tire weights have a weid synthetic element already and can't be used for bullets, and then of course the elimination of powder! As the old saying goes, "Keep Your Powder Dry"! Thanks for the video CD.

I've been at this in a big way since 1982. I personally own over 300 firearms and over 1000 knives. Also have done all my own reloading for over 30 years of that. People shouldn't have waited until the last minute to join the community. That's like the guy who waits until he gets shot to buy and carry a gun. I'm stacked fat and have plenty to wait out Joe Blow's entire 4 year term if need be. Instead of having my priorities all screwed up messing around with my kids meaningless school sports or spending big money on electronics like some freaking nerd, I was buying this shit all along! BTW....the kids should be fishing, shooting, camping, hiking and enjoying the great outdoors instead. John

You need to have a GOOD place to hide your reloading supplies, your ammunition and your firearms. Then you need to memorize the phrase "I sold all that crap at a flea market years ago." That and ("i don't remember".) At my age, it's easy to believe !!! LOL LOL,

Indeed! I was in Cabela's a week ago and saw some guy walk up to the gun counter and asked what handguns they had on hand. The answer was a Kimber 1911 at $1600. Didn't even look at it. Said 'I'll take it.' Not kidding. Good luck finding ammo scooter! I have a multi year supply of pretty much everything I shoot and load for. Also .22LR. I did buy a 525 round box of Federal .22LR at Cabela's for $30. The price was rediculous but heck I was there and so was the ammo. thanks for the info and words!

Actually your chances of finding .40 S&W or .45 ACP are far greater than 9mm. The mallninjas don't use those calibers which are both superior.

With all those people starting to reload, I hope they do it safely. What we don't need is more accidents on the range from over or under loads. No stuck bullets either. Get and read loading manuals and follow directions.

I can’t wait until Ammo is available again. Not because I buy ammo, (I don’t). I can’t wait to stock up on lightly used or never used presses. Every time people panic buy presses they usually don’t ever reload. I have a new rockchucker, but would like to have a mec marksman and a rebel :-)

And if you guys weren't stacking deep in 2018 and most of 2019 when Wal-Mart was selling bulk pack Remington Thunderbolts for $14.88 per 500 ct, Federal for 19.88 for 550 ct, Remington Golden Bullet Hollow points 525 ct for $24.88 you missed the boat big time. Every single visit I would buy at least 3 and the shelves were toppling over they were so full...have all you want as often as you wanted. Nope...they needed that electronic device or new vehicle they couldn't afford. Let me tell you something here....I have no less than FOUR MILK CRATES FULL of .22 LR ammo in my basement. That has nothing at all to do with my stockpiles of reloading components I started buying as soon as the 2009 - 2016 scare ended. You could buy full sleeves of 5,000 primers for $128.50 and 8 pound kegs of powder for $95 - $125. It's hard to feel sorry for you. The gun shops and gun shows literately sucked for nearly 3 years. Nothing was selling at any price. You could roll a bowling ball down the aisle and not hit anyone. The places were like a ghost town with the sounds of crickets in the background. Something to chew on there folks.........

The cheapest brass cased ammo for target blasting. For carry I use one of Hornady's self defense loads, depending what's available.

For target shooting my reloads. It's a 124 grain Precision Delta FMJ backed by a 5.3 - 5.4 grain Alliant Power Pistol charge. For self defense old school Cor-Bon 115 grain JHP +P or Speer Gold Dot 124 grain JHP standard pressure. I also cast my own lead bullets and powder coat them but under normal circumstance the bulk price 2,000 or more of the Precision Delta 9mm FMJs are hard to beat and waste your time casting for a 9mm unless you really have to. I also have a bunch of Military Winchester NATO 124 grain FMJ. Also bought that up at Wal-Mart when they got butthurt and started selling 150 bulk packs for $17.88 dumping them. One Saturday I drove to every Wal-Mart within 50 miles and bought every box they all had for that price. Ammo like that has to be worth over $100 now for a 150 ct box of the good stuff. Not for sale though......

Primers. IN some stores in Ohio, primers are going for $18 per 100 and they limit you to 100 per customer per day. I've seen powder.....4 lbs.....$298. The stores that are charging that I will never shop in again. Primers are MIA.....for now...especially small rifle, small pistol. Bullets are also MIA. When you have over 40 million new gun owners all buying ammo, you will get what we see today. Probably will subside by 2022 or late 2021. Calibers that are still available...17 HMR...10 mm.....some 22 mag.....12 gage shotgun. Going to bring out the muzzle loader. Fun to shoot anyways.
