Some less deep thoughts - I bought an RCBS small based .223 die set for my first AR, an SP-1, back in 1978 because everyone said you needed to. But the small base die overworks the brass. After using it briefly, I bought a standard die and never have used the small base die again. Never have had chambering issues in a couple of dozen AR's since. AR stocks - I found the PRS to be clunky and heavy. I suggest looking at the Magpul STR. Less money than switching to an A2 because you can keep your carbine buffer tube, it has a nice wide comb, and it locks up solid with its friction lock. Plus you keep the ability to collapse the stock for transport and storage. Tumbling - I switched over to wet tumbling about three years ago after dry tumbling since 1972. I still have the Dillon vibratory machine but haven't used it since. I got the Franklin Armory tumbler and the Lyman turbo dryer. I decap the cases before tumbling, so the primer pockets come out clean enough. No need to poke out tumbler media. I do not use the stainless steel pins, so no need to pick those out of primer pockets. A little squirt of Dawn dishwasher soap and a pinch of Lemishine and the brass comes out nice and clean. Still enjoying your videos. Thanks!

Years back, while replacing guns sold due to the 2008 economic crash (thanks Obama!), I decided to buy a RRA AR. I just ordered a Varmint model, with a 20" SS bull barrel, and A2 stock. Came with a really nice 2 stage trigger, haven't done anything but put on a scope and shoot it :)

I have projects I'm working on during the blizzard too... replacing the barrel on my Savage 10T in .308 Win with a Shilen barrel. I went with their improved recoil lug and found that I had much more work to do than I had thought. I had previously bedded the stock recoil lug trying to get that rifle to shoot so I knew I was going to have some grinding to do to open that channel up. But the Shilen lug is not only thicker, but larger... I worked for hours with my Dremel and a host of bits to inlet sufficient room to take that lug. That was down into the aluminum rail that is embedded into the plastic as part of their "Accustock" setup. I've finally got it to the point where I can set the headspace, torque the barrel nut, and then bed the action back into the stock. Then... I can load some barrel break in rounds and start working up a load for it. Should shoot tiny little groups when I'm done... at least I hope it will otherwise all this time and expense has been for nothing. I probably should have gotten a Boyds stock for it, but I've already spent my tax return and the Accustock isn't horrible so... well, I may still get a Boyds.

CD. That magpul stock is pretty good. Adds a little weight over the A2 full stock. I have both. The regular A2 I like it because I can add some weight in the storage pocket and then just put an adjustable cheek riser on it. Fortunate that the length of pull fits me. Bullets, I am bullet poor! Remember Speer and the 1k bricks for 50gr TNTs and the 52gr HPs, I stocked up. Had enough foresight to stock up when things were cheap. I have yet to find any purpose for a folding stock or an extending one except it being "tacticool" !! Hope you enjoy the day! Retirement..... hmmm I spend more money. Lol
