I feel GS could surprise the NBA next season if they they trade CP3 and Wiggins to another team and get back some size. That's how GS get back to the mix. Right now the new CBA is affecting the Warriors since we are above the second apron.

Lakers issue is LeBron and AD. Suns issue is if they don't win it all this season, they are screwed since they paid Book, KD, and Beal all that money and they can't stay healthy. This season, it looks like Warriors have it worse but I bet next season, the Lakers and Suns will have bigger problems with their team than Golden State.

Shephen Curry recently stated that the key to going far into the playoffs is not avoiding the playin but to play well the rest of the regular season and not as theydid against the Boston Celtics. The Warriors are 36 and 32 and have played 68 games out of 82 games that leaves 14 games left. The 11th placed team, the Houston Rockets, are 34 and 35. The Warriors will at least guarantee them selves a play in (or play off spot) by winning 12 out of the last 14 games. But the key is not just avoiding the playin and getting a 6 seed but playing like that did the last time against Milwaukee or Memphis and not like they did against the New York Knicks. The Warriors need to concentrate on winning one game at a time, not turning the ball over, paying the ball to the open man and playing lock down defense. No team in the Western Conference Is unbeatable. If Stephen Curry is Healthy and his shot is on, if Kuminga and Wiggins are taking the ball to the hoop and hitting their mid-range shots, if Draymond and Wiggins are playing great defense and Gary Payton II AND MOODY IS GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO START OR PLAY WITH THE STARTERS and if Klay Thompson embraces his Sixth Man Role and Chris Paul has the second unit humming, defending and scoring at the start of second and fourth quarters then the Warriors will have a shot at the Western Conference Finals. So the blue print has been stated and let's see if the Warriors can execute this plan. I think they will.

I think that’s a realistic take. Especially when you factor in them missing a key player, another a shell of himself, & yet another a player who could be suspended long term at any time.

The new GM had one heck of a good draft.

Kuminga was cooking the Lakers defense even when A.D. was on the floor, Klay's been more effective coming off the bench. TJD and Pods have been contributing, Kuminga and Draymond exposed the Lakers garbage transition defense. Both Steph and Kuminga, were taking turns pulling A.D. away from the basket neutralizing him. You mentioned those monster numbers Lebron and A.D. put against when they both played, it took all of that, and they barely won. It's a toss up, who wins in a play in a game. It's as much about Kerr, and his game plan, the same for Ham. I wouldn't be shocked if either team won, made the playoffs, or if neither did.

Warriors should've started dismantling after their 2022 championship. Trade Klay and Draymond that following summer when their respective trade value was highest and Steph this year, and yes, I realize that would mean keeping Jordan Poole, at least short term, while the team collects lottery picks and truly rebuilds

the problem there is too much if. If wiggins and KT get to 80% of what they were in 2021, if dramond doesn’t be draymond on the ocurt again, if the rookies continue to step up. The only consistent part of the team is Steph, which is the problem. Warrior is a team basketball team, they need everyone being good to work. When there is these many if, I just don’t see it happening.

This is what happens when you build your team around a bunch of guys in their mid 30s. If you're going to do that you need to hit on every other roster spot you have. They did on Kuminga but Wiggins and CP3 have been terrible.

As much as it hurt to not get back to .500 as a Bulls fan, I’m glad the Rockets are on a run. I’m rooting for them and also happy that they’re going to take over the Warriors hopefully. They’re so close 😂

I think Warriors issue has always been their indecisiveness to rebuild or contend. You can't develop young raw talent while expecting to compete for a championship with that unpolished talent because you'll focus more on who's ready now rather than letting the raw talent make mistakes and lose

You just laid it all out. Lack of size kills us every game but the only size we have on the roster is terrible. Curry just isn’t the same. Dray and Klay have been on the downswing for some time. Only chance for this golden state team to even make the playoffs is to avoid the lakers entirely

I hope I'm wrong, but this current Warriors team is pretty crappy & their defense sucks! Kevon Looney can still provide some quality helpful minutes & they don't even play him. I think Steve Kerr is coaching like trash. WTF happened to Wiggins. He was a great 2 way player in 2022 Playoffs/ Finals, now he's like not even trying. Draymond punching Poole in the face, maybe it's best that GSW doesn't make the play in so they can make some serious decisions. CP3 has been a piece of shi*, I hated that that's the move they made. Despite their resurgence post All-star break here the factors that I believe they’ll get eliminated in the playoffs or play in: -Yes Klay has been playing better on the bench but he occasionally still goes cold on long stretches in games. Costly processions which are valuable during playoffs games. - Draymond is still a great playmaker and defensive anchor but he still has a volatile temperament which can explode anytime. Take him out during games, their defence and playing making takes a significant dip. - Playoff Chris Paul but older enough said… -yes their defensive rating and rebounds had gone up despite their size BUT although this work during regular season, it means they have to work extra hard on both ends. Facing a bigger team on a consistent basis, could lead them to wear down or run out of steam as the playoffs goes along. If they are tired could mean making more fouls. - They are still turnover prone and blowing leads during late game, particularly the non-steph or Draymond minutes.
