I've been researching and nervous about not wasting my money on gear for my M50. I have been watching you since before I got my M50, so I was happy to see a positive review of the M2. @@SteveSantoianni hey. It works pretty well with the Kit Lens because it's not too heavy. When I put my 50MM lens on with the adapter though, it becomes a lot more difficult to balance properly. Pretty sure it's because of the added weight. It still functions, but not as well as it does with the kit. Haven't used it as often as I would like so I'm still learning.

Sticking to using small and light lenses, I have this gimbal working with my EOS R8 perfectly. It’s so nice to have a light and compact gimbal option for smaller shoots.

Can you do a video on the Pilotfly Adventurer gimbal? It has controls on the handle for Sony zoom, record and more.

I know this is a bit of an old video, but I'm wondering if the Zhiyun would be able to support my setup, which is the M50 II + ef adapter + Sigma 17-70 (2.8-4) or the Canon 10-18. Hi, When setting up the gimbal on the m50 I noticed when you try to adjust it with the lens up that the rubber on the eyepiece hits the motor. Is there a fix for this?

Hi Chris. I wouldn't add anything to the M2 because it's already at the limit of the M50. If you got a bigger gimbal, like the Weebill S, then you have options.

I have the "crane m1", the M2 seems lighter, smaller with more features, but on all internet videos you can see the steps while walking (same problem on all light stabilizers), almost perfect!

Very sharp editing!!! Loved the part when you went to the back to pick up the gimbal, and the audio was still on and then you took over talking. That was perfect 👌!!! Most of the time we buy something cause of the brand name however, from what we saw this gimbal has everything any other can offer. Great review, although I was often distracted by those mister gimbal and stabilizers at the back, so yes, please, review them as well!!! Thanks for sharing 👊

Thanks Steven 🙏 No, I can't see how you would connect without the app. I only tested the app with the Sony a6600, a6400, a6100. I don't usually use the gimbal controls, especially when I have a touch screen. I'll make sure to try it next time I can.

Hi there. Unfortunately, I have not tested that combo (I don't have the phone or lens). Since this is designed for smaller cameras as well, my guess is that the weight wouldn't be a huge problem - send Zhiyun a quick message, they'll let you know

You can get it balanced for sure (I've used it with the 50mm). But if you try to point the camera up too much, the eye piece will hit the back motor. It's not a big deal for me for how I shoot - but it is a limitation, you can't go inverted. Appreciate all the support!

Hi Aaron, you can use the SL2 with something very small like the 50 or a 24. You can definitely NOT use it with the 18-35 because that lens is so heavy. I have set up the SL2 + sigma 18-35 on this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/p6apybp9l5bOnrA.html and still needed to buy the smallrig plate and 150g of counter weights. That way I got it to work and it did a great job.

THIS is what I should have bought instead of my Ronin SC. I think I'll buy this also.

Thanks for the video and I request you to review Zhiyun Crane M 2 Gimbal if possible. Do confirm if there are any differences between Zhiyun Crane M 2 and Zhiyun Crane 2 Gimbal.

is the sample warp stabilized?

You can definitely balance that setup.

I’d be so grateful if you could recommend a gimbal for the SL2. I know between the weight and the usb my options are limited. Was hoping I could get a zhiyun or a ronin to get basic function and then upgrade to a mirrorless and get full use of the gimbal when I can afford it. You’re one of the only cats on KZread that gets how great the SL2 is.

It works great with most lenses as long as you don't need vortex mode (which I pretty much never use)

Im torn both the Ronin sc and this gimbal are on sale... i use a sony a6000 because i wanted the lightest possible plus im not doing anything "Professional" but I did want a gimbal. with the prices theyre ate now BOTH are a good deal. I checked the weight, this gimbal can handle my a6000 and the 4 lenses that I own (sigma 19mm 2.8 sigma 30mm 2.8 yongnuo 50mm f1.8 meike 35mm 1.4) I honestly dont plan on getting more, kind of want input from those a bit more experienced with the gear than I am.

Can we stabilise with 10-18 lens because I heard with 50mm view finder kind of blocks it

Never used a gimball but looking at them now for video. They look to be a PITA to set up. You have to go thru the balancing process every time you shoot with one? Id rather just use my iPhone or get a camera with IBIS honestly. Thanks

I really need to publish the next video in this series. I'ts compatible in that you can balance it and use it. You can't point it all the way up because the eye piece hits the roll motor. That is not super important to me but is a limitation you should know about.

Hi, I have the A6600 with an 18-135mm lens that is small. Is this gimbal able to manage this lens/camera configuration? I'm considering the Feiyu max 6 gimbal-looks more solid and with a larger payload than the Crane 2. However, Feiyu tech tells me that it is not set up for the A6600. I see that the M2 Crane appears to be set up for the A6600. My question: does the Crane M2 allow the user to fire the shutter button via the gimbal stick and also manage the camera's video via the gimbal stick? Thanks for this excellent professional video.

Hey man. Will it link to filmic pro? I’m using an iPhone but my gimbal doesn’t have a big enough payload for the Nd and polarizing filter. Looking for one that has a higher payload but can still use filmic pro. I don’t want to have to use the zy play app to use all the gimbals features. Would this be the best gimbal for me?

Hi Ryan. I haven't used it with FilmicPro so I'm not sure. I can't imagine it won't work since you don't need the ZY app at all, and you can just control what you need in Filmic Pro (as far as the phone). I hope that helps.

@@TechGearTalk Ya, it does help. I just know the zhiyun smooth 4 can connect with them as well as the osmo 3. I don't think this one does. It's all good tho. A gimbal that can easily support the weight is definitely worth it
