Book of Genesis is FACT. Please find below scientific/cosmological/archaeological/historical proof & explanation behind the Book of Genesis - The actual scientific explanation for the 7 days of creation is something like this; The universe is 7 days old at the point of creation( looking forward) and 13.8 billion years old (looking backwards at the point of creation). This is called space time dilation - the further you get from the point of creation - the older the age of the universe. Cross section of the universe is as per NASA WMAP diagram. map.gsfc.nasa.gov/media/060915/060915_CMB_Timeline600.jpg Gerald Schroeder PhD and Hugh Ross - Phd Astrophysicists have explained this further. a)Gerald Schroeder has even given the rough mathematical formula for the age of the universe. The differences - GS used Olam(modern Hebrew) vs yom ) b) Hugh Ross gives very detailed explanations on the frames of reference God is talking from i) Gen 1.1 - at the point of creation(1st day/2nd day/3rd day), ii) Gen 1.2 from the surface of the earth iii) Gen 1.3 - Let there be light - the atmosphere become transparent iv) Age of man decreased from 1000 years to 120 years - Hugh Ross explains in his video how the explosion of the supernova about 100k years ago ( monoserotis ??) and that the cosmic radiation from this caused genetic degradation. this is why the age of the patriarchs decreased from 1000 years (adam to noah/shem) to 120ish around abraham. How did the serpent (satan) come to this garden that God just created. Or was it intentionally design in this manner to give mankind the ability to choose and to choose what is good. The word freewill that is used by modern Christian theologians is not used in the Bible at all. The word is “ability of choice” May Yehovah grant us the wisdom to understand and discern the truth.

The "eating" of the forbidden fruit is not what the deceiver in this video is saying. The fruit represents knowledge. The forbidden *knowledge* was the ways of the other nations. For example homosexuality is a sin YAH didn't want them familiar with this knowledge (aka fruit) do not partake of it. Yet Eve indulged and encouraged her man to do the same. *THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF THE KNOWLEDGE/FRUIT THAT WAS FORBIDDEN.* Now just apply all other ungodly customs the other nations partake in which corrupted YAH's chosen.

It's a simple concept I think. They didn't earn the knowledge of good and evil. They wanted to get the reward without doing all the work. When you receive something that you're not ready for, it's not a good outcome. That's what lottery winners always end up broke. Or like if someone hands you an amazing job with a generous pay, but you have no idea how to do the job, not a good outcome.

Kevin Tobiason is it not reason that fuels our fear of certain things? Is it not reasonable to fear a hungry bear or a venomous snake? And if there is indeed a Creator who is able to create and destroy as He wills, would it not be reasonable to fear Him? As a child fears his father’s just punishment while simultaneously loving his propensity for tenderness is man’s relationship with God. I agree that Wisdom does follow reason, but can we not say that reason often follows justifiable fear?

  • @owenalbrecht7026

Kevin Tobiason Fear may be an emotion in and of itself, but that hardly stops it from having a logical base. While I concur that our emotions can be irrational and thus are capable of leading us astray when not kept in check, many of what we consider “reasonable” responses are based on this emotion of fear. I reiterate the fact that if I’m confronted with some kind of entity that could bring great harm to me, whether it be God or something else, it is quite reasonable that I fear it. And it is from that fear that I can begin to respond accordingly. And while I have a great respect for FDR, I will have to respectfully disagree with not necessarily the quote itself within its context, but with the universal application of said quote. I have everything to fear when it comes to an all powerful Creator while myself am an imperfect creation (that’s precisely where Christ comes in. In regards to your Jekyll and Hyde comment: I wasn’t saying that God made these decisions on some dissociative whim. Rather, I was simply stating He has the power to do so. If anything, I believe He has infinite wisdom in what He chooses to do. Regardless, thank you for respectfully responding. God bless you :)

@Kevin Tobiason Wisdom is not the same thing as knowledge. A person can reason about a fact, truth, or principle but if you do not apply this information to your life, you are actually the opposite of wise. Webster’s defines wisdom as “knowledge, and the capacity to make due use of it.” A better translation of the Hebrew word is respect. Wisdom begins with the respect of God. If you do not respect God and follow the desires of your own wisdom then you will suffer the consequences of your actions. The evil in humankind is caused by each person following the wisdom of their own desires.

While listening to this lecture look closely at the classroom behind him. This is NOT a set. This is a classical classroom with rich dark woods, traditional items of education strewn about in a orderly but personable manner. Books, a globe, pictures of places and people... all designed to set the mind into a particular pathway towards a deeper sense of understanding. When did we abandon this kind of classroom for the plastic and metal, fluorescent lighted, cold and superficial version we see today in schools? Was it due to funding, expediency or just lack of care that we abandoned this beautiful classroom for the modern class? If the room you are sitting expresses no deeper meaning than how can the curriculum you present do so? When we stopped caring about the one, it is obvious we stopped caring about the other.

Set decorators spend a lot of time in movies dressing a set in order to do more than just mimic a place or a time. They do it because it affects the mind and creates a certain mindset... no pun intended! Those old classrooms were ICONIC in a way the new ones could never be. We lost something when we traded that for convenience and modernity.

EmmausRoad Astute observation. Relatively speaking, throughout my 65 years I've watched most classic architecture give way to "blue glass" skyscrapers with LED lighting. Both elements are given credit for creativity and attractiveness. They aren't without their skill and charm but in no way do they express the sentiment of the former. It appears as an unconscious expression of departure from appreciation of all that went before. Mankind has given up so much in the name of progress. What pinnacle are we striving for? People worldwide are expressing an agitation and anxiety. As you observed, warmth has left the classroom. Concurrently, God has been excised from the premises. What can we anticipate at the end of this road?

True, but when did we abandon education under trees, along the road, in the fields, in every aspect of our lives to gain the holistic understanding that knowledge of God touches every aspect of life, as described in Deuteronomy 6:6-9 and shown in the life of Jesus of Nazareth?

That is wonderful perhaps God has begun regeneration of your heart through his Holy Spirit. The Bible says today if you hear his voice do not harden your heart. And Whosoever calls on the name of Jesus shall be saved. I pray God has begun a work in you. The Bible says he who began a good work in you will see it through to the end. Read the book of John if you have a Bible or you can download one through an app. The road to God is one of humility. I pray the LORD lifts the veil from your eyes and you would submit to the created with a joyful heart after getting through that moment of pride before true repentance. kzread.info/dash/bejne/k6ink8FydMizkso.html Grace and Peace to you from the Triune God.

@humberto vargas, I think maybe you are missing what subtle and deceptive means. Satan is a liar, but he slips the lies into truth. thats why hes so good at lying. He gained their trust with a lil truth (truth that God spoke) and twists interpretation just enough to cause doubt. If satan just boldly lies, then it would be obvious. Read scripture. He even tried this with Christ! when tempting Jesus, notice Jesus didnt correct satan by saying He was not telling truth on what he was saying, but rather corrected the twisting of it with scripture. This guy isnt saying satan is a truth teller, hes explaining how satan uses a lil truth to tell his lies. Satan uses power here to deceive. once they ate then they did have the knowledge, that was truth, but he lied making the knowledge sound Good when in fact it caused sin to enter into our hearts. At the end of the story, satan is still a lier. I hope that helps a lil

Adam and Eve thought that "Yeah, hath God said..." by satan were "thought provoking questions" and 'brilliant" and "a blessing". Satan is smiling now as he was then at those who think so. It's the first attack on God's Word still going on today. Don't rely on "experts" telling you what the bible says - rely on God's Word and the Holy Spirit. "Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. And the Jews marvelled, saying, *How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?* Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. *If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.* He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him."* John 7 . "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a *more sure word of prophecy;* whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that *no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.* For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter 1 And yet here we are thinking certain men are the only ones that have the ability to privately interpret God's Word and he will let us know what God's Word says. "But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth aIl things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the *natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.* " 1 Corinthians 2 And yet here we are thinking a man by man's intellect willl 'teach' us what God's Word "really" says. Be not deceived - do not rely on mankind to let you know what God's Word says, rely on God / The Holy Spirit and spend time every day reading it and praying and let God teach you, not just taking men's opinion as truth. "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and *searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.* " Acts 17

Tyler Seeya Biblical exegesis is an art form in which individuals with a relative mastery of a text synthesize, interpret and assimilate data in order to “Lead out” with what has been gleaned from the processed material establishing order for future application with the intent to yield results. This video is a form of Eisegesis which takes the form of an individual interpretation which the reader is “ lead into,” a grey area intentionally by the interpreter whos injected ideas are calculated precisely for misinterpretation and to be misleading. "Then God said, " Let the Earth bring fourth living "creatures" The following passages discusses the "Elohim" Gods and goddesses a polymorphic energy that makes the first "Man" which is a loose translation of the Sanskrit word "Manas": Defined as the "Mind" in its genderless root. "So, Elohim created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." - Genesis 1:27 This is supported in scripture, as the first person who we call Adam, an androgynous being who is male-female. Adam: "Aleph, Daleth, Mem" - Adam can refer to different levels of the inner Being, such as Adam Kadmon, the perfect human being, in contrast to the sinning Adam or terrestrial person expelled from Eden "Every spirit [ruach] is called Adam [man], which means that only the aspect of the light of the spirit that is enclothed within the body is called Adam [man]. So the body of the spirit of the holy side is only a covering; in other words, the spirit is the actual essence of man and the body is only its covering. But on the other side, the opposite applies. This is why it is written: "you have clothed me with skin and flesh..." (Iyov 10:11). The flesh of man is only a garment covering the essence of man, which is the spirit [ruach]. Everywhere it is written the flesh of man, it hints that the essence of man [Adam] is inside. The flesh is only a vestment for man, a body for him, but the essence of man [Adam] is the aspect of his spirit [ruach]." - Zohar 1A:10:120 "Man", or "Mind" has names in different stages of it evolution, for he is called Adam (man), Gever (male man), Enosh (human), Ish (person). The use of the noun "mind" in Sanskrit can mean any of the following; " intellect, imagination, inclination, will, excogitation, temper, breath or living soul which escapes from the body at death, understanding, intention, mind, spirit or spiritual principle, mood, perception, opinion, intelligence, desire, sense, reflection, thought, affection, conscience, invention, spirit." The following passage discusses an older verse and explains "Mans" or "Minds" ability to accept or reject the manifested energies brought fourth after their kind. "Then God said, "Let the [earth] bring fourth living [creatures] after their kind: cattle and creeping things and [beasts] of the earth after their kind; and it was so" Genesis 1:24 Utilizing Strong's concordance created in 1890 by James Strong while a professor of exegetical theology we can ascertain and cross check by way of index allowing a student of the Bible to re-find a phrase or passage previously studied. It also lets the reader directly compare how the same word may be used elsewhere in the Bible. In this way Strong provides an independent check against translations, and offers an opportunity for greater, and more technically accurate understanding of text. One interpretation could be seen as follows; "Then God, said " Let the [Inhabitants of the land] bring fourth [Active] [ desires, emotions and passions] after their kind: cattle and creeping things and [company and congregation] after their kind and it was so." Genesis 1:24

Without knowledge of good and evil there be no free will, the power to choose between one and another thing. There would also be no knowledge of God's goodness and grace, of Life itself and the grandeur of the one who gives it. Maturity requires a perfect knowledge of these two concepts. Knowledge of evil is not that evil after all, even God seems to believe so. This was a necessary lesson for freshly formed Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:22)

This man is not teaching any false doctrines, and this man has made it his passion and life's work to learn and teach the word of God with greater understanding. It seems like the Holy Spirit is trying to teach me about the human's attempt to become god by obtaining knowledge. Recently, I was studying Hegel, philosopher. It is an interesting leap to go from studying philosophy to studying this. I would not have put the two together in my own planning, but God is really amazing to do so. I think we need to understand a Christian worldview more than ever. Humanism took a leap from Christianity in Hegel''s time. Society, now, has a broad collection of how the human mind makes decision. God pulling us back to himself is a quiet invitation that requires us to humble ourselves. Choices to obtain knowledge just seem to pull at us. Main thing, it is not knowledge that gets us closer to God, but it is God that draws us to Himself.

2 Timothy 2:15 as complex as the Bible is, it is a must to study and research, even more so if one doesn't know Hebrew and Greek. Even the disciples asked Jesus in some of the lessons he taught what the lesson meant, I take comfort knowing they didn't ALWAYS understand EVERYTHING either. It is even more awesome that Jesus took the time to explain it not only for them, but EVERYONE who believes in God and the wonderful thing he did. In my opinion it really is no wonder there are so many who just dismiss God. Reminds me of the stories and the movie "The Shadow", clouding men's minds. Satan is really, REALLY good at it.

Wow! Best interpretation of creation and fall I’ve heard in my life. As a Christian, who doesn’t know the 1600+ laws of the Hebrew tradition, I am admittedly partial to the view of the casting from the garden as God’s mercy. The writing took an extremely complex subject and broke it down into simple yet cohesive pieces that collectively painted an astonishing work of art! Fantastic!

@Eric Smith, One thousand six hundred and thirteen laws, Eric, but nice try. Seeing as the person you're trolling stated he was a Christian, those 1600+ laws don't apply to him, now do they, as those laws were the Jewish laws of the Old Testament whereas Christians believe in the OT _as well as_ the New Testament.

@@edwardnewman160 what you wrote much of what you wrote was absolutely spot on about the Bible being a lifestyle reading it constantly unveiling its treasure within each verse and all throughout life it changes That's why in Hebrews 4:12 it talks about the word of God being alive and active because it is it teaches us and trains us and really at the end of the day becoming more christ-like now to say that you're sure of God not being impressed with this man well that is absolutely false you have no clue what God thinks of this man this "man" is his son whom he loves just as much as he loves you and I. This man is dedicated his life to understanding and teaching the word of God. It is a gift to sit in my house and listen to a teacher of the Bible give a free lecture on Genesis someone who is read that Bible way more times than you have. So before you start putting judgments and your own negative opinions of someone's words maybe think a little before you decide to write what you write because I can see that you love God and you love the Bible Thats obvious but definitely don't put words in God's mouth. I pray that as you continue your path you become a little more humble and your discern when and when not to write something and what not to write as well as what you should. So... God is asking Adam.. to answer the question.. " Adam , where do you think you are? , Is is true you are in a world where danger looms apart from your Father?" just a thought.. ..looking forward to more Hillsdale invitations to think .. My thoughts are, if you were hoping for some stoic theological teaching, you won't receive it in this course. However, you surely will have your thought processes tickled and those things you've been mulling but were afraid to acknowledge may just loom in front of you begging for attention or even discourse. Thought provoking teaching can be dangerous but if you include the Father in your learning, and even colleagues, it can be a growing event in your relationship with the Creator God; one that could perhaps heighten your awareness of a relationship with the Divine.

It is a "fire" that none can bear alone. Nay, it is a "fire" that must be experienced with YHVH "in control" and with Yeshua as chaperone w/in this life, which is but a "classroom."
