We just bought several tables of this for our cruise events due to their portability, easy storage, no need for painting (though penning edges is great), strength and modularity. Was super happy to see this vid sharing their work! Excellent vid.

As someone who used to work at an industrial papercutting cnc machine, I can tell you the looseness/tightness of a lot of those fittings are going to be dependent a lot on the lifecycle of the blade. While all blades are manufactured within specific tolerances, sharp things get duller the longer they cut, and the machine operator has to give a shit about replacing the blades in a timely lifecycle, testing materials to make sure it’s not getting full ahead of schedule due to manufacturing defects, that you don’t have to get an old “good enough” blade out of the trash because your boss didn’t order new ones in a timely fashion. Etc

Your comment about this not replacing 3D-printed terrain is spot on. I have the system and I take it out when I am getting started in a new miniature war gaming system. For example, late last year I got into 5 Leagues from the Borderland. This allowed me to take my already painted miniatures and pop this terrain on the table and start playing right away. Then, over the last 4 months or so i have been making 3D Printed Terrain and painting it and slowly replacing everything. The Battle systems terrain goes back into the box eventually. The bonus is getting the game to the table quicker. The other bonus, this system travels well and is lighter. So if I am playing at a friend's house or gaming shop this is my go to terrain. I believe it has its place but it will never be my main terrain. I love it for what it is. A quick and easy way to get things onto the table and start playing until you have time to build what you really want.

I own basically all of their stuff. The citadel and the Nordic village are also really awesome and a good way to add variety to your town / village. Also, painting the edges with markers in matching colors and maybe even adding some lines for stonework etc adds another 20% realism easily. Especially important for the small wooden parts.

I love the Battle Systems Terrain. Invested in some boxes when it became available in Germany. My Girlfriend and I spend some good evenings putting some of the kits together. Easy as can be (except for the barrels which we don't even bother anymore) and good looking. Incidentally I just got some kits the day the video came out. Great to get quick board setups for not that much money (compared to other terrain kits that is)

Another great video! These look ok. I have a lot of the sci-fi scenery from Battle Systems, and think the grey clips clash less with the futuristic pre-fab theme. I suppose one could paint the clips a wooden color, to match the fantasy setting. This system works well, because you can simply disassemble and bag the pieces when not in use. You can also assemble them in a number of configurations; giving them a lot of flexibility.

I have a couple of their buildings. They're not bad. Like you say, sometimes the cardboard slots don't fit well and bend, and I didn't bother with the smaller scatter terrain, because it's very light and easy to get, well, scattered, but they are decent for quick, realistic-looking stuff.

these remind me of some of the old card train set scenery. Personally i would paint some the the cut edges in brown and maybe paint some glue across the edges to stop them from fraying. a quick spray over with some matt varnish would make it look less like printed card and maybe give it a little more protection. All that said, i do like the look of their Sci-fi scenery and i have been looking at them as part of my "i want Space Hulk but not willing to pay eBay prices for it" project

Brilliant video as always, I'm a fan of the Battlesystems range, I actually picked up one of their smaller sci-fi sets, cyberpunk, as its just great value for use as a backdrop for taking photos of mins. With the included matt i think its very hard to go wrong value for money wise. I do question the long term durability of some of the stuff, especially that which you disassemble but all round great stuff. Also found some of the fitting very stiff. I'm glad im also the only one that thought the tutorials where like watching QVC!
