Lyrics:
I never knew
I never knew that everything was falling through
That everyone I knew was waiting on a cue
To turn and run when all I needed was the truth
But that's how it's got to be
It's coming down to nothing more than apathy
I'd rather run the other way than stay and see
The smoke and who's still standing when it clears
Everyone knows I'm in
Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your mind

in an interview the lead singer was asked who the kid was on the video. He said it was his little brother and the only thing that would make him do the video is if he bought him a PS2 lol.

My younger brother committed suicide last weekend by overdosing on something. He was found with headphones on, presumably listening to something. This is his youtube account. He made a playlist containing 6 songs that was edited the day he passed. This is one of the 6 songs. With the method he used, he was dead after about 30 minutes, probably unconscious around 12 minutes. I like to think that it was peaceful for him with his music on. I love you Myles, I'll miss you everyday for the rest of my life.

How to Save a life, you found me, happiness those three were on repeat when I first tried and contemplated with the idea of suicide. I am not scared of pain, I been through the WORST kind of pain someone can imagine. My only thought was the PAIN other people get, the blow back if I die. Most people are worried about the pain they might feel during it, i feel about all the people I might let down.

Can we just appreciate how amazing The Fray are? Once they became the complete band they have remained a symbol of what it means to be just a great band. They don't do drugs, they don't party or do anything obscene, yet they have huge tours, make top selling albums, and deliver songs of passion and true emotion. You never see them reported for scandals because they don't get caught in the modern culture of acting crazy and being extravagant. They play, record, and perform. That's it, and they are famous for just that, nothing else. How beautiful is that? How many bands or musicians can truly say they are famous solely because of their music and nothing else at all? I absolutely love The Fray for they are simply amazing.

Honestly, even after 10 years they're still my favorite band. Their most recent album isn't bad, you should go ahead and listen to some of those songs. It's really sad though that they aren't getting as much recognition that they truly deserve. It's a shame that this generation isn't into good music like there was in 2005.

About 14 years ago, I heard this song. Now, the older I get, the more I relate to this song.
LYRICS I never knew I never knew that everything was falling through That everyone I knew was waiting on a queue To turn and run when all I needed was the truth But that's how it's got to be It's coming down to nothing more than apathy I'd rather run the other way than stay and see The smoke and who's still standing when it clears and Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on your mind Let's rearrange I wish you were a stranger I could disengage Just say that we agree and then never change Soften a bit until we all just get along But that's disregard You find another friend and you discard As you lose the argument in a cable car Hanging above as the canyon comes between and Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on your mind Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on And suddenly I become a part of your past I'm becoming the part that don't last I'm losing you and its effortless Without a sound we lose sight of the ground In the throw around Never thought that you wanted to bring it down I won't let it go down till we torch it ourselves Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on your mind Everyone knows She's on your mind Everyone knows I'm in Over my head I'm in over my head I'm over my Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on your mind

I always loved how Isaac Slade sang from the heart to this song. Super real, vulnerable, undeniably passionate.
