I have no idea why anyone would dislike this or any Carl’s videos. Extremely informative, in depth and accurate video lesson, which is completely free to watch at any time. Must be people who are angry because they couldn’t learn the solo.

I say they should TRY HARDER . it's easy to just give up. FUCK THAT. It's a badass solo as is Mustaines .I got the 1st half down of both of them it's just keeping in time. I used to hate reading and learning tabs now idk I got the K.E.A tab book and its like I can close my eyes and picture Kirk and everyone just playing it nonstop perfecting it the way it is . Shit they did .Why cant I? I get times where it does get redundant so take a break but not a long one . The moment you actually can tell and hear yourself getting better and then play it to someone and they go hell yeah .That is the most baddest ass thing from guitar besides ( feeling ) the music yourself bc now not only feeling it yourself you have somebody else feeling the music too. Rome wasn't built in a day neither was this song or Perfecting it .Shred on ,BECAUSE I DAMN WELL .it's 12:30 am I got stuff to do in the morning and now when I go home I'm tempted to just play what I know .Bc its FUN .and Having FUN IS BADASS JUST LIKE METALLICA AND MUSIC .

The phrase starting around the 12:00 mark was the hardest for me. There really are no shortcuts to that kind of fast alternate picking across the scale. You just gotta do it and do it and do it and do it and eventually muscle memory makes it effortless. I have found Carl's channel to be the most straightforward, no BS approach to learning those type of licks and getting them up to speed.

I had been debating trying to learn the solo’s from the four horsemen even though I know its beyond my skill level. It’s always fun to see if I can do any of it. This video cleared up a lot of the confusion I was having. Every thing was explained really well, thanks.

The TAB isn’t correct for many official books including Metallica.. official simply means it is an officially licensed book.. but the band has nothing to do with the transcription... it is as easy as watching them playing it live in many online videos to see that many TABs are incorrect... old Metallica TAB books are notorious for this... I just transcribe it myself and never do any TABS for it since I don’t have the license to legally do TABS

jesus is god it depends on the experience with guitar and guitar solos, if your new to solos then it might take a while to learn the fast parts of the solo, if your new at guitar it might take a really Long time, but i would be proud of myself even if it took a Year to learn a solo.
