Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

gohitsushodostudio.com
In this video I explain what I consider to be the Four Basic Principles of Shodō. These principles is what I consider necessary in order to produce art that creates emotion. Good calligraphy should reflect the character and spirit of the artist, and by following these basic principles, I feel one can accomplish this along with proper training in composition and writing of Kanji.

No. My teacher, Fumio Toyoda Shihan was one of the founding members of the KI Society with Tohei. That's where I get these concepts.

What's the difference between 書道 and 習字?

書道- Shodo has more of an artistic expression. The artist make break the rules of composition in order to achieve a certain look an feel. 習字- Shuji is penmanship which is mastering the skill of writing with the brush. Rules are followed strictly and is all about the skill of writing kanji proportionally and correct.

Gohitsu Shodo Studio Thank you so much!! I've been searching for an answer to this for a really long time now. So 書道 is the art and 習字 is the method or technique of writing. Finally got it! 本当にありがとうございました!
