The Flatwoods Monster (Mysterious Legends & Creatures #13)
Ойын-сауық
In the 1950s, something hurtled from the sky and plunged into landscape of a sleepy West Virginian town known as Flatwoods. What was said to emerge from the wreckage was perhaps one of the most terrifying things ever seen.

Your mini-docs are great! Keepem coming. Ty.
I don't think the problem is the owls, but the fact that west virginians tend to make very profitable monsters out of them
I think The Flatwoods Monster is a being from another Civilization, or dimension. I've seen 3 of them at the same time after witnessing a football field sized red, yellow, and amber glowing craft that appeared to be made of bubbling plasma in Ohio, on September 7th, 2006. They match the description of The Flatwoods Montster precisely, glowing red eyes, 8-11ft tall, gliding/floating around a few feet above the ground etc. The same description is pretty common, Kelly Cahill also described similar beings as another example.
Just to let you know, Flatwoods has a population of about 300 people. The town is in Braxton County . Braxton County has a population of about 15,000 . So, everything here in WV happens on a much smaller scale than what a lot of people are used to. I don't know what exactly happened that night in Flatwoods but I'm pretty sure that it was not an owl. Owls of several species are plentiful here and most folks are accustomed to having them around.
The times where the exterrestrials and aliens were still scary
I LOVE your artist's depiction of the Flatwoods Monster, nice, very very nice.
Love your work and as an artist myself I genuinely appreciate that you credit the artists work you use in your videos.
😂😂😂 I love your sarcasm! It's hilarious
Brilliant video! The additional commentary was hilarious and just what I needed today. Thank you! 🤣❤️👍
this was so cool i never even heard of the flatwoods monster keep up the great work
😂 Entertainment and humor. Love it.
Love your content, keep it coming
This is so informative thank you so much!
Thank you for the awesome video 😁 Watching your more creepy content in the middle of the night makes me paranoid a bit but it's definitely worth it
MY DAUGHTER AND I SAW THIS IN WOODS RIGHT OUTSIDE BUFFALO NY! She drew a picture as soon as we ran thru the door. A few weeks prior, alone, I had seen the yellow eyes close to the ground (couldnt make out any figure tho so did not even consider flatwoods monster) then stand straight up and take a step toward me, at least 7 ft tall. Needless to say my flight or fight kicked in and I RAN. Caveman instincts were just yelling at me to run
Awesome video
I saw this in the community tab and came right over!! ✨😍✨
Why can I imagined Sam whatching this video on a hunt
Nice video 👏👏👏
My family is from southwest PA. Have an uncle who is an avid deer hunter . He always refused to hunt in WV. He said that there were too many people way down in the hills practicing witchcraft. Quote from my uncle " You don't know what kind of hell they're raising down there. You can be just walking along and get zapped by something"

I live here and I know of nobody practicing witchcraft 👀👀 not saying it’s not here. But it sure isn’t around as much as you say 🙂
This is the only cryptid i had an encounter with I was in west virginia because my grandpa recently died and a friend of his invited us over for a giant meal There was so much people there so a decide to into the backyard to play pokemon go I was pretty deep but i knew my way because of the app i was on salt lick road the woods were dark and i was leveling up my anorith when i flashed my phone on what was to the left side of me It was the shape of a spade and was about 3meters tall it was silent because the birds had gone away before i did I thought nothing of it and kept walking when i noticed it again I was closer to the road so i just went home and didn't think about it until i saw two orange dots from the woods where i was previously standing and i thought oh shit did i tresspass but i wasnt followed by it on the half a mile back to the house That was about 2 years ago

Very interesting
Very interesting indeed. I wonder how the encounter would've unfolded had it not been tainted by fear.
I love this series. 'Roid raging owls ... awesome.

You're killin' me, dude. I'm from Summersville (aside the 'village' of Flatwoods), and theres a bit more. Look up the vehicle encounters as well.
Mans should have a podcast.
I know this is a dumb and probably suicidal wish, but I would like to see such evidence of the supernatural just once before I die.

Sorry you won't because there's no such thing
Yeah there's lots of worries to add Mothman to the Flatwood monster well they have similar-looking red eyes but interesting concept
Cool, i’ve never heard of this, and that doesnt happen very often seeing as a kid I devoured so many books of folklore, mythology, monsters, aliens and all things creepy & unexplained! Thanks!
This was hilarious!
Pleeassseee do a video on sirens!!!
That was just uncle Billy Bob...he's a character
Screw fortnight you're channel is educational and awesome and I share it with anyone who enjoys this
An owl would flee alone from the impact noise!
Can you please do a video on Takasugi Shinsaku.
I have no doubt in my mind Mr Flatwoods is an extraterrestrial. With that creepy hood-like crest and robotic-like descriptions including the disturbing noises, glowing eyes and the fact it emerged out of a suspected falling star, it looks like something you'd see out of War of the Worlds and It Came From Outer Space, and I could picture that thing being the creation of aliens. It also reminds me of those early stop-motion children's show characters like Teletubbies, Little Robots or The WotWots! If the Flatwoods sighting is of alien origin, it's also another reminder that we're NOT ALONE in the universe and that wherever it came from must be EONS ahead of us with that other-wordly technology. According to the descriptions, the being looks robotic or some cyborg entity. It could also allegedly be a SPACESUIT of some kind to protect whatever's inside from Earth's atmosphere, (which could be deadly if they're from another world) a cross between Darth Vader and the bio-suits the aliens wear in Independence Day! If I could guess why it's almost impossible to see these days, it could've just departed during the night and must've become lost on its way so it was only on Earth ONCE like E.T. But as for if it's friend or foe, we may never know..... P.S. (This is a quote from Wikipedia) Extraterrestrials with immense intelligence have grown envious of humanity's dominion of Earth, and are therefore plotting against them.
We need a video on the black eyed children
@5:00 sounds like the dog was a real life version of courage the cowardly dog 🤣🤣🤣. Character names, Lemon, could havs came from that show too, lol
10 ft?! Holy cow
Looks like a cross between Scare crow and spawn but with the powers of swamp thing or the green goblin.
so creepy
Id love to have lived back in the late 1800s or early 1900s.

West Virginia’s gotta be the U.S. equivalent of Romania
This is the first time I heard of this monster
Can you tell the story of the Grafton monster
I believe that when people heard or see something out of the ordinary only he can felt the trauma behind those events and It's highly unlikely to make somebody else understand about his experience. Besides scientists will always try to cover up the story with much more logical explanation such as meteor, barn owls. But only the group of 7 people’s knows the thrilling experience with god knows what unearthly being they saw the other day.
Of course, the local authorities tried to discredit the people. The people saw what they saw. “You didn’t see an interdimensional demon. You saw an owl.” smh
People in WVA know exactly what an owl is and in 1952, they probably dealt with them on a daily basis. Whatever they saw was no owl. A 10’ owl? Really? Same thing with UFOs and swamp gas. I’ve had owls fly right at my face and I have never got that excited. You’re talking about people who grew up playing and hunting in the woods in their own backyard, not the concrete jungle.
The flatwoods monster is interesting

I live 1 mile from Flatwoods. My mom saw the fireball fly over. All you folks making fun, running us down. Fine. Who are you to tell us what we saw? This is why people in these hills want nothing to do with you.
Only good thing about fallout 76 is the cryptids. A great slice of americana.
maybe it came from Australia, I dunno
West Virginia is the place you want to be if you want to see the supernatural, NOPE! West Virginia is the place you want to be if you are addicted to pain killers and fancy sleeping with your cousin! West Virginia is the only place on earth that makes Kentucky seem like the promise land! Just Kidding! Flatwoods is a very interesting place as is all of W. Va. But dude you have to realize the people in 95% of West Va didn't even have Cable TV until the mid 1980s so they were always 20 years behind the rest of the country. It was a barren wasteland of Coal Mining towns filled with very hard working people who took pride in what they do, but as with anything if you are isolated from the rest of society it has benefits and downsides. The benefit is you don't have to deal with things like major outbreaks or tourists, most family ties are strong and people look out for one another, the downside is WELL.....YOU ARE IN F%&KING WEST VIRGINIA so there is literally nothing to do except work or get drunk. So STORIES abound in the Appalachian areas of the United States. It's a wonderful place to raise a family but Damn it can be boring as watching paint dry except it lasts your entire life. Kind of like HELL but with polite, hillbillies and country folks drinking Moonshine for fun!

I've lived in West Virginia for most of my life and I never want to live anywhere else. It's the 3rd most forested state in the country and we have less than 2 million people living here. I don't need other people to entertain me or make me happy. I'm a hillbilly in West Virginia and I'm perfectly content with my existence.

Is the flatwoods monster a female bc it looks like a female bc it’s wearing a dress but it’s not a dress, their fingers look like witch-like fingers, and their body looks like it’s curvy & busty which some or most females have?
alien or not owls are still pretty fucking scary at night
It's not an owl.
your side comments aren't funny or snarky, they are annoying af lol
When people bring up a time before desegregation . As a black person I think why ...is this always the best time for white people they talk about before technology and stuff but it makes me wonder .

Mostly people look back on it for two reasons, the culture of the time (the stories, shows, it was a time for progress in the fields of science that we haven’t even fully replicated since) and the aesthetic. The 50’s is probably one of the most memorable time periods right along the 60’s and 70’s. 30 straight years of a rather unique moment in society as a whole. Compared to those 30 years the world has slowed down. These days it sometimes feels like society has almost grind to a halt.

Because you're annoying. You show up and complain relentlessly about everything or are loud and obnoxious and pick fights if politely asked to tone it down or seem uncomfortable around "too many white people". Hate or no hate between us we're just usually on different wavelengths at all times and getting along is more work than just staying apart. Especially when you can hear this story and all you think about is how secretly racist whitey is to you...when in reality it was just an expression commonly used. Few people will admit this but it's just true. 60 years later and you still never stop complaining and picking fights everywhere. You asked and got an honest answer and I bet money you're just going to get angry about it instead of bothering to think that maybe life would be easier if you just accepted reality and learned to live with it and enjoy life where you can anyway instead of being resentful over history no one can change and no one under 80 was a part of. You're like the nagging wife tgat brings up the one time something bad happened constantly for 20 yeats because she just cannot ever move past it or simply admit things can't be cool for her and go her own way.
