Meagre referencing to sources again lets this cool presentation down badly. Constantly talking as if these things are true rather than told gets old after a while. (Got my up vote anyhow; original and well done nonetheless.)
No one: Goblin Slayer: *GOOOBBBBLLLIIIIINNNNNSSSS!!!*
What a coinsidence, Back in México, my grandpa used to tell me stories about goblins too, the one I remember the most is one where a family was sick of the pranks a goblin played on them, so they moved out, but when they had finished unpacking the woman of the family said to her husband "Honey, we forgot the broom" all of a sudden they hear "No worries, I got it" they turn and saw the goblin riding the family's dog with the broom in its hand. 😂😂

In spanish they are call los duendes which also mean elf, sprite(type of fairy) and leperchaun
In most Latin American countries we have similar creatures called "duendes" that are like small people who lure kids into the woods to lose them. Also they are believed to make pranks.

Interesting, in the Philippines we also have them in our folklore
In old german lore Goblins are a kind of so called Kobolde, which vary a lot. The most common Kobold lived in Mineshafts deep underground. They had magic Powers to control earth, rock and fire, and also were resistant to those elements. They also were made out of rocks and had small pointy rd eyes, their only weakpoint

In Hawaii we have the Menehunes, they are royal and are not to be messed with. They built all the fish ponds and control the lava tubes on the islands. Also we have a wokwok bird that is half man half bird. Preys on the bebes innards.

18:47 True. I'm from Peru, and my parents once thought that I was about to be abducted by the mukis/duendes since they found me under my cradle. There was a tree nearby, which supposedly was their home, so my relatives removed it in the following days. There is also my maternal grandparents house, were the creatures supposedly live under the house, and play pranks to my uncle. He sometimes wips the walls with his belt to scare them off. And my mother once told me that, when she was in primary school, they moved in that house even tho it was still being built. The thing is she could feel their presence at night, and rarely see their shadows, but that was all: they didn't bother her at all. Both houses were built in areas that used to be plantations, so yeah, kinda "makes sense". Crazy stuff...
I didn't realize the underhanded comedy in this until after my first video, a lot of your jokes are actually really funny and come off well without seeming like you're trying very hard. Great content, you've got a new subscriber :]

My favorite portrayal of goblins, are the sneevils from Dragonfable. They are little green goblins, which are obssessed with boxes. So obssessed in fact, that you at one point hire a sneevil king's army by giving him boxes. The best part is that the king apparently could only count to 5, and only knew that you were gonna give him more than 5.
"Drop kick them off of high ledges" 😂😂🤣 Why have I not seen this on screen or in a game yet?
In Belize we have a legend of a goblin like creature called “ Tata Duende” he has four fingers on each hand ( thumbs missing) and his feet are backwards. He plays tricks too and supposedly lures children in with a game of marbles

Nice video. Surprised though that the Red Cap discussion did not include the red caps of Ireland, the "far darrig" (pronunciation). "A far darrig or fear dearg is a faerie of Irish mythology. The name far darrig is an Anglophone pronunciation of the Irish words fear dearg, meaning Red Man, as the far darrig is said to wear a red coat and cap. "

I want to add Kijimuna goblin to this list. A red-haired goblin of the banyan tree native to Okinawa (where native people are black or brown-haired Asian). I heard a lot of fisherman's tales of them in Okinawa, but mostly just sightings. `I saw one and ran` kind of tales. There are many cautionary fables of people befriending them and eventually getting betrayed. There were a lot of old banyan trees that no one would trim because they were said to be infested with Kijimuna, and if you cut a branch it would come to your house at night and cut you in your sleep.
Can you please do a video on Ogres?

This is all pretty much correct. I tend to think all household entities are the same thing. Brownies, Kobolds, Goblins, Hobs, Nissen, Tomtar, Robin Goodfellows, Pucks, Leprechauns, Lemures and countless other smaller entities from world mythology. All these entities can be either helpful of harmful, depending on their personal attributes, or how well they're treated. The hobbits and goblins (Orcs) from Lord of the Rings, represent both sides, good and bad, of these house dwelling entities. I think the creatures said to live in other places, such as down mines, are more similar to dwarfs than goblins. Many mythologies separate underground dwelling entities from household entities, but others merge the two, using the same term. For example, in Germany, both underground and household entities are called "Kobolds". I think this is a catch all way of using the term, such as calling them all "fairies" or "trolls". To be specific, goblins and hobs etc, live in either human dwellings, or in abandoned dwellings, where humans used to live (castles etc). The dwarfs on the other hand, live underground or inside mountain mines.
Nice video 👏👏👏
I would like to see a video about the Phoenix, it’s my favorite bird. I love the idea they can never die. Almost like goblins the Phoenix legend continues on just as much as any other mythical creatures. Another creature I find fascinating is the Huldra because there is so little about her. I watch these shows all the time because they remind of my late mother telling me stories as a child.
I love the artworks that were shown in this video

Be sure to look into Inuit stories of the arctic, we know several different types of beings, key word is tuurngak
Goblins ugly? Haven't you heard the song? "See the little goblin. See his little feet. See his little nosy wosy. Isn't the goblin sweet."
Do they maybe run really fast across your roof in a horribly scary fashion and climb down the side of the house, sneak in thru the window where the airconditioner is somehow then bite you on the inside of your inside upper thigh? While you are asleep? And you have bruise teeth marks that take 3 weeks to go away? Does this creature, it isn't an animal, try to have his way with you? Is that the type of goblin you mean
Watching this at 3am.... Now looking for The Spiderwick Chronicles...
So is Blix from Legend (1985) movie, a Goblin or Hobgoblin or something else for example a impish demon? He has classic goblin features but he's taller than the average goblin.
Dobby is elf, goblins are working in bank in Harry Potter
So where do the Tommy Knockers fit in dude, are they goglins Ot something else? Love your stuff by the way!!!
I’m very curious about if there’s any stories of interactions between the Red Caps and the Blue Caps. Hard to imagine how, given their different environments, but I’ve been told that said stories exist, though I’ve been unable to find them.

I think ppl now call everything that isn't tall and handsome a goblin lol ppl don't know the lore anymore, and stupid religions have demonized everything which is bs.
(in Germanic mythology) a bearded giant or goblin who lures little children to the land of death. Is the official definition of erlking.
Another creature that appears in all local legends around the world. Is it so far fetched to think that at one time the ancient races included elves, dwarves, halflings and goblin like creatures?
I have this rooting idea that utmost of these creatures told in Legends of History (wordplay) and mythology are manifestations of traits projected into beings by people. It is something similar to kaijus; one classic example of a kaiju, specifically daikaiju is Gojira, or better known as Godzilla. This daikaiju Gojira was meant to be a manifestation of fear of the fallout left by the nuclear bombs; a monstrous and hideous being that destroyes everything at its wake and preferred cities to eradicate. Awfully similar to what happened at the bombing sites. Kaijus can also take forms of humanoid similarities like goblins, vampires, witches and so on. These creatures I think are manifestations of traits projected by people, needing to have a scapegoat so to make an excuse for those they know and have bonds it. Instead of thinking that the beloved wife being a nuisance, he could project those traits into a creature. Over time these projections manifest as beings people believed in llike an alf cleaning the house or a benign goblin who could turn mischievous or annoying of not held content. A vampire is a kaiju for a manipulative and well-articulated person who cares mostly only for superficial reputation and not having integrity (which is why he has no reflection in a mirror). Manipulative people drain others of social energy which can explain the idea that vampires drain blood, life force. Not being able to socialize at all back then would be a devastating stagnation, for back then you only had others around you to converse with. Werewolves could be people who had such a temper that they couldn't control which would eventually result into a rampage in a time where everyone's not aware, meaning out in the dark or while the sleep = the night. I genuinely think that back then people really strived to have a sane sanity despite living in circumstances that would leave many insane today. They dedicated themselves to stay sane amongst others and thus needed a scapegoat for their stained personality trait to stay quite sane. This result in cratures being made that they believed in for just because it happened within their own minds doesn't mean it's less real. So, arguebly all strange creatures (kaijus) are people's indirect ways to keep their sanity intact. Even today there are stories told in suburban areas in cities about beings that kidnap and keep grudges against humankind, and these areas are ofte known to be in poor state; like back then.

And our Father saw nothing but evil within heart of man and saw his action of such go on continually. Our Father actually regretted creating us and has since then accepted our attempts of redemptions. Even Satan himself will ever be in Christ's memory for dealing with him in 40 days in the desert. Christ Himself denied that He was good but only His Father was of good. A God in human form denied being good and only alluded to that His actions were good, indicating that human nature will always be stained with darkness, even after Christ sacrificed Himself for us. This sacrifice does not remove the yoke completely that we have to bear and some of the weight of the yoke is the persistent existence of human nature that is inclined to be biased. I am not denying the importance of repentance, honesty and grace, and the severe and serene importance of our Saviour and our Father, yet I am pointing out that things are not that simple. Even Saint Paul started with persecuting Christ and Christ still accepted him. By Paul's own will he turned to follow Christ. THe pagans were also welcome as long as they followed Christ and even a criminal on one of the side of Christ at His crucifixion was redeemed despite having done no good prior to his life other than repenting at Christ's physically dying moments. And the last thing, I actually quite for the Book of Revelation since many people who call themselves Christians forget that Christ actually judges people based on their actions rather than what they write and speak.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wangliang Wangliang (魍魎 or 罔两) is the name of a malevolent spirit in Chinese mythology and folklore. This word inclusively means "demons; monsters; specters; goblins; ghosts; devils" in Modern Standard Chinese, but wangliang originally meant a specific demon. Interpretations include a wilderness spirit like the kui 夔 "one-legged mountain demon", a water spirit like the long 龍 "dragon", a fever demon like the yu 魊 "poisonous 3-legged turtle that causes malaria", a graveyard ghost also called wangxiang 罔象 or fangliang 方良 "earth demon that eats the livers or brains of corpses", and a man-eating "demon that resembles a 3-year-old brown child with red eyes, long ears, and beautiful hair".
