Hi Bridget, The idea you had about the teacher basket, I will deafinetly be doing, that is such a good idea, thanks for that one! I wrote to you I think two weeks ago ,but mistakenly sent it to another teacher, and I didn't know who she was, I hope I didn't make her feel bad.🙄. I wanted to let you know that the brick wall paper you put up is very New York, very loft like. I love it, I'm a native New Yorker, born and raised in Manhattan, so I know what a loft looks like, and yes,the wall paper looks very New York, love it. I teach pre-K but I would love teaching a 4-6 MAC I think. I don’t think we have them where I live.

I stopped when they spoke with Ryan...(avoiding spoilers) I listened to the first episode of the 2nd season yesterday, so that I can chat with Trent about it. I listen to that one...otherwise I’m still looking for more that might become favorites.

The Lettered Classroom I am super into the new season! Try Dirty John and Serial. They're both awesome! I think I was a detective or investigator in a past life. Hahahaha!

I love the summer activity you had the students complete. Do you print the color photos in class or does the school allow you to print them out? We are limited on copies, it's so frustrating.

I'm always torn with the use of hand signals...when you have ELL students in your class especially ones who are a 1 profile...those simple questions are the kinds of questions they need to practice saying....even some of our students who may not have grown up in a language rich environment should be practicing these kinds of basic questions...so much to think about as a teacher....

+Rosie Martinez I completely agree with you however, there is a time and place for students to ask me to go the bathroom using words. My expectation is during a group lesson, small group lesson or when I am conferring or testing a student it is not polite to stand over me and ask me to go to the bathroom. I would never get anything done. Now, when we are working independently, absolutely, my students ask me with words. It all depends on the situation. Thanks for the comment and thoughtful insight.

Does the entire 4th, 5th, and 6th grades participate in the MAC program or is it select students?

Happy first week of school 👩🏽‍🏫 several questions here. Most important one first, where did you get your red sweater you wore on Friday?😍 Also, are the sign language cards a pdf and do you have a simpler version of the Hopes and Dreams graphic organizer? Week one can be tough, but you have lived through rougher time. Keep on keeping on we are all rooting for ya 😎
