I love the boxes and bullets research cards! Our 4th graders had a hard time organizing their information this year, this would be amazing to use. Will you be putting this in TPT? In Arkansas, we have a month testing window for our state testing (ACT Aspire). Districts choose how they want to test. Our district is doing one test each day so the kids are not overloaded. With that comes 5 "weird days". We are told not to give too much content during these days as we don't want to overload and stress them. Many of our classes are taking this time to work on Character Ed ... We have been writing encouraging notes to other grades about "doing their best on the test". We also have lots of "extras" going on ...all that end year stuff. Last week, our 6th graders did a "Glow Test-Prep" party. It was alot if fun.

My Birthday was on, April 15th. I live in Vermont and I am a high school special Ed student and I had state testing this previous week.

What does 'muffin to do, but try your best' mean?

I opened my cabinets and just closed them backed up! Not ready to face that just yet. We finished testing this week and I am exhausted. Boxes and bullets are a favorite. They are versatile and streamlined! We just finished an opinion & debate using boxes and bullets to state argument and points. I recently found out I am moving from 4th to 5th ELA next school year. From the little I've studied, it seems like there is more building of standards than introducing new standards. Any novel suggestions or advice? Thanks, Lesley

Lesley Carmichael that’s awesome! My fifth grade standards are all about comparing and contrasting. I choose authors to study and look at the similarities (authors craft) across the books.
