Which is why Replays are a recurring theme this season, to remind us of why we are charged with anticipation when we once more witness the class between powerhouse competitors and fan favorites. Much like the rumbles before, each elimination is guaranteed to send shockwaves to the crowds (Especially for those who were rooting for this one competitor to win instead). While I usually reserve the questions for the ‘end’ of my posts, I still think there’s something to address: How ‘mad’ would the fans be if we still got the same results? Well, we won’t have to worry about that because this season witnessed a back-and-forth victory featuring… The Great Khali, the second man (After Randy Orton) to win two rumbles except back-to-back. As far as ‘how’ The Great Khali’s career would be different if he won the rumble, at least this was a far better display than how he performed in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal during WrestleMania. But in taking Batista’s place, would it only have made it harder for either Randy Orton to retain or Daniel Bryan to ultimately secure the win? The Great Khali is hardly a competitor we’d have ever imagine securing such a huge main event status as far as WrestleMania is concerned. But as far as this season, if we thought Randy Orton was the man to beware for the champion’s finale, I think we can safely declare that The Great Khali is the true monster competitor of the upcoming final rumble. But who was my MVP of this Replay 2014 rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers: Of the thirty men featured in this match, only NINE competitors secured the most eliminations (Possibly one of the shortest counts this season). The highest count reached up to ‘8’ eliminations, which is seven points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination. Since the Great Khali won, I give the Golden MVP Award to: Kane While I wasn’t a big fan of Kane’s gimmick at the time of his feud with CM Punk, there is no question why Kane is one of the most dominant athletes when it comes to the rumbles (Ironically, he’d still eliminate CM Punk even in defeat). While Kane has already cemented his place in the upcoming finale, I hope he’s well aware he has some stiff competition after the display The Great Khali demonstrated. The Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance goes to: Alberto Del Rio Ironically, Del Rio secured a repeat win to qualify for the champions’ rumble… but this elimination was among the quickest we’ve seen out of former winners. And to suffer an elimination by a commentator at the time, a man who didn’t last as long as his World title reign… that’s got to be embarrassing. Not that this would diminish Del Rio’s credibility going into the finale, but it doesn’t bode a ton of confidence moving forward. With two back-to-back wins in a row, The Great Khali has secured ‘two’ spots for himself although if you ask me, it should be a head-to-head coin flip between Khali and Orton to determine who gets to enter the rumble… ‘last’. Anyways, this leads to the following questions: Who did YOU want to win this rumble? Had it not been for Kane, would CM Punk have won this rumble? Who’s the biggest threat in the champions’ finale currently: Randy Orton or The Great Khali? And the biggest question of them all: Who’s next?

The crowd was chanting for Daniel Bryan the whole rumble match. When number 30 came out the crowd was hoping for Bryan but it was Rey. That’s why they were booing Rey. This was one of the worst rumbles of all time. Also this was Punk’s last match. He walked out the next day and was gone for almost 10 years.

In per chance Ricky sees this Yokozuna is the best barefooted wrestler. Take a piece of ginger and chew it, it will wake you better than salt, ginger increases blood flow. Valoween on the creation zone has a better Big Show to download.

My favorite barefoot wrestler was Kevin Von Erich, The Texas Tornado Kerry Von Erich's brother.

JBL only lasted longer in this Rumble because he was dressed to wrestle.😂😂

When this series is done, we need a giants rumble, Khali, Andre, Kane, Mumra, Invincible Baby, Thanos, etc. Actually, it would probably ending up lasting several hours so not a good idea!

Several athletes from other sports that tried to transition to pro wrestling talk about the scheduale and the travel. Its a bit of a shock to go from the team paying and organizing your trips and hotels to doing it all yourself. The schedule was why Lesnar left after the match with Goldberg at wrestlemania. And that was after Vince gave him his own plane.

This Rumble was the only time Rey Mysterio was booed in WWE and his crime: not being Daniel Bryan that's literally it. WWE has always been very weird with the non entrant elimination rule: in 1996 Vader eliminated 4 guys after being eliminated and they didn't count, but three years earlier the Giant Gonzalez eliminated The Undertaker despite not being a legal entrant in the Rumble

Ironman/ mvp = great khali who would have thought it! One of the most obsecure final 3 in royal rumbles imagine the crowd reaction if that was the final 3 of the real rumble 😂

Shortly after this royal rumble match; CM Punk left, Daniel Bryan retired, and Roman Reigns was being rammed down people’s throats.

I want to comment on the last rumble I agree with you about how they should change it up with rumble winners make it more interesting by having a random win the rumble instead of it always being a star look at the excitement when Drew Machintier won his first rumble I think it would have been great if Mick Foley had won a rumble I think Umaga was the best bar foot wrestler . I love watching you play my rise and think its rude when others want to just do the wheel they should just let you enjoy playing my rise cause you stream every Friday and do the wheel every time plus you get to the wheel eventually

HBK. Stone Cold. And…The Great Khali?????? Even moreso, having JBL (long retired as an active wrestler by this time) turn out to be the other star of the Rumble was a clear "say WHAT???" moment. Hilarious! Disappointing showing for Miz; he had R-Truth in there when he made his entrance, but Dolph Ziggler absolutely *killed* him with a superkick right away, and he had to wrestle from behind the rest of the way. (Roman eliminated them both, eventually.) Poor Kevin Nash. Truth completely merced Big Sexy and got him out of there in like 20 seconds. This isn't WCW, bro.

11:39 Yes, this was CM Punk's last Royal Rumble. I remember that in March 2014, WWE faked out his return in Chicago, only to have Paul Heyman come out instead.

Rey Mysterio got booed because the fans thought Daniel Bryan was gonna be #30 (even though he got destroyed by Bray Wyatt earlier in the show). The fans get antsy near #30 and can even be heard chanting Yes and Daniel Bryan's name.

I was happy with the 2014 outcome back then. I´m a Batista Fan and didn´t really care for Bryan. So in the opposite way to the Rumble I was really mad with Wrestlemania 30.

I think if anyone has double entries, we keep playing rumbles till we have a unique 30. Also a good excuse to pssibly cover every ears rumble now.

I'm on the fence with this. On one hand it will be more even if we have 30 unique, but on the other hand it increases their chances with two. I don't think we should take away the win as it will kind kill the lore. But my suggestion is that if we do, we put the double winner for next seasons Rumble. Regardless I think fans here want to see all years replayed.
