The stupidity and incompetence of the folks involved in letting him out of jail after shooting that guy in the head is outrageous and mind-boggling!!!!! And that's the norm now days, letting rapists and murderers go free after a slap on the wrist! It's utterly ridiculous!!!!

I agree! Judges who do this nonsense, should be held accountable and I don’t mean by not being re-elected. There needs to be some form of accountability when the people they give a free pass to, commit another crime. The ones that break my heart are the ones who try to petition for a protective order and it ends up getting denied only to have the perpetrator kill the victim.

I agree, it's utterly ridiculous that violent felons get time off for "good behavior", but get caught with a couple of joints and you don't see daylight for 20 years.

Whoever decided that he should’ve been released from jail should also be held accountable

No matter how much he suffered, it is nothing compared to what he truly deserved. He's getting his justice in the next life.

I had a bad life, I had sexual and physical abuse, moved around house to house. Had 3 kids, been to prison, seen a murder, seen many deaths. Still never killed anyone. There is never a good enough excuse other then you have a gun pointing at you first

This is why the courts have their share of blood on their hands...They are just as responsible for the damage he did plus those killings...So many victims would not have to die if the system would keep them in prison

The Kansas State Penitentiary you mentioned was where Richard Hickock and Perry Smith, killers of the Clutter family were imprisoned and executed by hanging on April 14th 1965: the case made famous or infamous by Truman Capote's book 'In Cold Blood'. The film 'In Cold Blood' was made in 1967 and starred actor Robert Blake (who died a few days ago on March 9th at 89 years old) as the doomed criminal Perry Smith. Love your work Lamont!
