10:15, never noticed how Shiv pulls away when her dad raises his hand in her direction. Implies to me she wasn't spared her father's physical abuse as a child. I'm curious if her abuse was simply physical, like the boys, or it was of a more sinister nature, if you catch my drift.

@@greggoat6570 With Succession being a comedy with excellent drama versus a drama with excellent comedy, I think we will see McKay and team allude to more physical and possibly sexual abuse by Logan, but find it unlikely they will ever explicitly say Logan sexually abused Siobhan or any of the other kids, simply due to it being too dark.

@Bly Guy I don’t think that would too dark for a show where arguably the “protagonist” leaves a guy to drown in a car and never takes responsibility for his actions that directly lead to the situation in the first place.

Hi I really appreciate this breakdown! I love the way you delved into other media that influenced the show and directly parallels it. I've loved the show since I started it, but for it to be broken down and put in simpler terms helps me consume and enjoy it even more. Thank you!

Nice video, I love the parallels this show has to the classics like Oedipus Rex, and as was mentioned, King Lear. However, Roi is french for King and it doesn't sound like at all like Roy, but the actor playing Roy was quite well known for playing Lear on the stage.

I’ve been hearing all this hype over this show and I just watched the first season and although it was enjoyable I just can’t see why this show is as highly praised as it is. Maybe going forward I’ll see it but as of right now, it’s just ok.

Everyone on the show is despicable... People feel sorry for the kids and demonise Logan but I find him to be the most consistently moral character in this nest of vipers. Kendall walks away from killing a kid like nothing happened. His arrogance and stupidity are extraordinary. Same with Roman... Despicable character. The level of entitlement in all 4 kids is quite frankly extraordinary. It would be the funniest thing in the world if at the end of it all the dullest tool here (Cousin Greg) ends up in the top job.

Kendall definitely doesn't just "walk away from killing a kid like nothing happened." He carries that regret with him until the end of season 3, it's quite clear. Do you not understand that Logan created these kids?
