I always like the idea that perhaps it was Boomhauer that kept Dale from actually getting into trouble with the government more. Perhaps not so much spying on him, but rather keeping some form of records to show that Dale is ultimately just a goof.

That tracks to an extent but the truth is that Dale hasn't done anything illegal. The other truth is that Dale would scarcely listen to Glenn. They all pretend to be independent but they all rely on the straightman, The King Of The Hill.

You are not. Peggy is categorically one of the worst characters on the show. Nancy is an arguable contender but at least she faces flak for her bad behavior and choices.

She’s awful. She was ok in the beginning, but she got almost insufferable in the middle. I think they started to tone her down towards the end. But, the “Peggy episodes” are nearly unwatchable to me.

One of my favorite tv shows ever. The only thing that ever bothered me about it was when Cotton got Peggy back into shape after her parachute accident so he could be buried in the veteran’s graveyard. Then a few seasons later, he left Hank a message to flush his ashes in a bar toilet, completely forgetting that story line. I hope they bring back the show and aging the characters would be a good idea. It’s sad that we lost Tom Petty and Brittany Murphy(RIP) so I hope they give them a fitting goodbye and not change voice actors.

King of the hill is still great today. 😀👍

One of the few shows I can watch with my 10 year old daughter that we both enjoy.

This would be my ideal plot 5 years later: - Hank & Kahn co-own Strickland Propane - Hank & Peggy adopts Luanne & Lucky’s daughter - Bobby is a College Freshman who’s dating Connie again - Dale & Family become Corporate Exterminators & Owners - Boomhauer becomes a Captain in the Texas Rangers - Bill marries Didi, and becomes GH’s stepfather (BWAH)

Would Mike Judge ever consider a "crossover" between "Bevis and Butthead" with "King of the Hill" as a possible "one time 1 hour long" episode? "B&B" was his first, yet crude claim to fame, but the we easily accepted "KotH" when released. The sexism and racism was dashed throughout, but did get better. As I am 49yo, "B&B" was there as a "dirty version" (with crappy music videos) at the time. I outgrew this show very fast, but next thing we knew, there was "Bevis and Butthead do America" being released to the movie theaters. I am so releaved that "KotH" was never "conformed" to a movie!

My guess? He developed a blind spot concerning Hank because Hank is the least likely of his friends to do something terrifically illegal. Bill, because he's not always the swiftest, and Dale because he's Dale.

Ran across this video randomly, I'm not a subscriber. It's interesting though, made 2 weeks ago for a show that went off the air a decade ago and still has 74K views. One of my favorite animated shows ever and as I see from the comments I'm not the only one who feels this way. It really had a great run, one of the last feel good TV shows of its age. I'm so happy they are going to do a reboot, I hope it's as good as it was, fingers crossed! Oh and to answer the question posed in the video if Boomhauer was secretly spying on Dale, I would say Ohhhh hell no he wasn't! He knew Dale since childhood and knew he was a harmless complete imbecile lol.

If it did come back with a few more seasons, it would probably be in syndication, with a premiere on Adult Swim being likely...

The only difference between my dad and Hank, is my dad has a sense of humor! This has always been my family’s show

Knowing what I know about Texas now days this show makes so much more sense.

One, there was never a proper series finale. Also, these characters aren't from Mike Judge's childhood. The series idea came from a voicemail someone left about Beavis and Butthead. The guy sounded like Boomhauer.

I only have one question concerning "King of the Hill": Did Dale ever find out about his wife's affair with John Red Corn?

I don’t know… that’s a good theory but the way the authors put it on screen suspensely makes me think otherwise. They also mention what everyone else does for work in the neighborhood except boomhauer. Boomhauer is also in less episodes overall and doesn’t speak on anything in his personal life except women….

My theory was the air order was a mistake because the episodes after the sirloin one was suppose to air before it. Possibility?

I don't think Boomhauer was a Texas Ranger. Sure there is a badge, but you can get those anywhere. The I.D. photo is just a standard Drivers License. I think its a fake badge that he uses to pick up women. And also, no cop would have his badge in a regular wallet. There are Badge wallets that hold a cop's credentials both the badge and the picture I.D. of the force he works for.

The only problem with "king of the hill" is they constantly ruin perfectly good steaks by placing them on burger and hotdog cooking machines(propane grills) instead of cooking on charcoal like true connoisseurs who know the way of the cow.
