The End Of An Era

Its a new era in the NBA. None of the three biggest stars in the league: Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and LeBron James, will make the second round of the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2005. Its been nearly 20 years since one of these three didn't make the second round. With the majority of the remaining teams being led by up and coming stars like Luka Doncic, Tyrese Haliburton, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jayson Tatum, and Anthony Edwards... It truly is the end of an era.

I would hate for people to start to slander your team for the turmoil that surrounds the team on and off the court. I can only imagine if people were to start discrediting the championship your star player Giannis just because he had bad injury luck ever since. This postseason really does feel like a changing of the guard. A lot of people are knocking the older players/teams for losing to the younger guns, but it was bound to happen at some point. That's just the natural flow of generations: when one dies out or starts to die out, the next one takes over. The new generation of the NBA has been in place for the last several years now. It seems like this postseason has been their coming out party so far. It's amazing to see.

Timberwolves can be a part of the new era for drama and entertainment. They’re a up and coming team onto a winning culture and the power struggle between Taylor and arod. It will be one heck of a story for the Timberwolves to win it all this year.

I know a lot of nba fans between 20 and 35 years old. I want to say i dont know a single person who has fallen out of love with new basketball, even people who complain still love the game and watch and a also realized a lot more fans who didnt watch in the lebron curry durant era are now returning because of all the parody in the league. Parody always does a lot for ratings. When your team has a stake its a lot easier to watch for more moderate fans

When Lebron, KD, and Curry retire. It won’t take 2 seasons for people to fill in their place with new names. Look at the NFL. Tom Brady was the undisputed face on the NFL for the longest time, and yet immediately after he retired, people started to praise Patrick Mahomes, and not just Chiefs fans. I remember as a kid everyone praised Brady, Manning, Rothelisberger. Then not even 10 years after they fell off/retired, It was Brady, Rodgers, Wilson. With Brady eventually making way for Mahomes. And Wilson making way for Joe Burrow. My point is the old greats have to “move over” and make way for the next generation, and this playoffs is a perfect scenario for that to begin.

Curry probably has another chance for a ring but this offseason is critical for the dubs The suns and KD are in a hole that they probably get out of unless they blew up the team or they trade one of the big three The lakers are just dysfunctional and Bron might go this offseason

As a lebron fan i have to give jokic his props and murray just hits such important shots. But before people hate on him he averaged 27 still which davis supposed to be the one to take the keys and be the lakers best player but mans is unfortunately a career second fiddle. Wild now we in a time where the knicks is in the playoffs and lebron not in the finals. Either way the next era looking very spicy. Also anthony edwards and brunson is some of my favorite dudes to watch so for the first time i can say i am excited for the next generation of basketball

The question asked is "is it good for the NBA." Of course it is! Does anyone really want to see James, Harden, Curry, Durant, Irving as the 'faces' of the NBA when they're in their 40's & 50's. The league moved on from Magic and Bird to Jordan, Olajuwan, Ewing, Reggie Miller, etc., and then on to Kobe, Shaq, etc. Players age and younger ones come along, been that way since the league started, usually as a fairly seamless transition. And now it's that time again..

Guys I’m not saying he’s going to be THE best player over all these younger guys, but how does Paolo Banchero not even get a mention? Bro was ROTY and took Orlando from not even making the play-in a year ago to making the playoffs to a game 7 against Cleveland with a shot to get a series win. And all while averaging 25 points a game through his first 6 playoff games. Plus, Orlando is the 4th youngest roster in the league with cap space and draft picks.
