To be fair, you're completely disregarding the surrounding circumstances. - In OKC they lost to the Heatles in 2012. - Then the front office made dumb moves that didn't make the team any better. They lost 2 potential championships or at least Finals appearances due to injuries to KD and Russ. - They lost that WCF to the Warriors in 2016, who were a 73 win team. That team was 1 game away from being the "best team of all time". I really don't see the shame in losing to em, even if it was by blowing a 3-1 lead. It took a monster series from LeBron and Kyrie (and a suspension of Draymond) to barely beat those Warriors. - In that first year with the Nets, they lost to the Bucks, who went on to win it all. No shame there. Plus we all saw what happened. Kyrie got injured, Harden was injured, Joe Harris forgot how to shoot, Aldridge had his health issues. It really was just KD vs the Bucks out there. - The following year was a disaster. The Nets had given up all their depth to get Harden and lost him to Philly, which is why they simply had no chance to win even a series. - Chris Paul got injured in Phoenix. So that forced the Suns to play without a point guard, and they lost to the Nuggets, who went on to win the championship. Again, no shame there. I'll say this, KD has horrible judgment in where he decides to go, but I don't put the lack of success on him. He's been great everywhere he's gone.

Then Kobe coming into the league being the new kid and winning with Shaq. Shaq being traded and winning with Wade. Dirks revenge tour with LeBron in Miami, and him coming back home. Warriors making a little bit of noise out west then becoming the juggernaut of the NBA. And Kawhi’s revenge on the entire league. KD has no true home, nobody respects his legacy, and never could get it done without the greatest team of all time. All time great who far too overrated, argue with a wall.

I wonder if anywhere is gonna retire KDs number. Golden state might, maybe, but with how it ended there, i dont know if they will. OKC sure as shit aint. The Suns, if they dont win the title (which they won't), wont. And im pretty sure the Nets wanna kill him on sight.

OKC fans whined and bitched about KD leaving, when they literally stole him and the team from Seattle lmao.

Kd had to have extra security in his hotel because it was so hostile in okc. As a okc resident and fan he was enemy number one on July 4th and beyond 😂

Right hot take but if he don’t leave they never get all those future draft picks trading away Westbrook and rebuilding. Durant stays they would have never traded russle away leading up to everything else that follows

Kevin Durant made the right decision at the time. We have to remember that ring culture was at its highest, the salary cap was starting to grow so everyone was trying to nap at Kevin Durant, and Golden State was going to pay Kevin Durant more money than Oklahoma City.

KD was being a cupcake and joined the same team who beat him and made a superteam. He keeps joining these superteams he's so annoying. The Warriors, Nets, and the Suns.
