To actually answer why he’s so full of sh*t in a polite manner, for starters it’s because he’s a hypocrite. People like the conservative he mentioned (people like me) have spent hours debating someone only for it to end up the same way. Eventually their argument falls apart and they use the idiot’s defense or just resort to physical violence like Big E does at the end here. Might as well just skip to the end. Or alternatively, it just turns into a cycle. Big E admits he doesn’t even fully remember the conversation beyond the point where conservative says they’re all full of sh*t, which means he likely DID bring up a ton of empirical evidence and Big E just ignored it and kept repeating “where is your evidence?”. This cycle tends to be what I get stuck in, liberals like to act as though they have logical arguments by simply demanding proof from everyone else without putting up any of their own and then deny or ignore any evidence contrary to their opinion without any substantive fact that actually refutes it. This is the part Big E would punt me into the stratosphere.

That being said, it isn’t as if conservatives don’t do this as well. Anyone who is an idiot will tend towards the idiot’s defense (which is in essence saying I’m right because I’m smarter than you even if I have nothing to back it up. You’re an idiot, so you’re wrong no matter how much evidence you show that you’re right) as they are literally too stupid to realize they are stupid. That said, in my experience, conservatives tend to be less likely to do this than liberals as conservatives by their very definition are likely to promote traditional values. Defending a practice that already exists and has been rooted in centuries of study and use is vastly easier than trying to promote liberal, progressive values that are experimental and largely untested.

Just like how most atheists have the same tired, disproven, and childish attitudes and contentions regarding Christianity. Well, yeah, because he's being reasonable until he isn't, which is often what happens in discussions about religion and politics, because Religion and politics often make some people lose all perspective and give way to ranting and raving and carrying on like emotional children. They either refuse to discuss it with reason or else they prefer argumentum ad homeinem, which is a hell of a way to conduct a discussion. Well, anyhow, not long ago I was talking about the elections and how the campaigns were ignoring the issues and sticking instead to invective and personal crap that had nothing to do with the substantive problems of running a government (which is all true as you know if you followed the speeches and so-called debates of the candidates). Anyhow, one of the guys I was talking with said not a word in the whole conversation except at the end when he suddenly chuckled and said we were all full of sh*t and why didn't we all go live in Russia or China if that was the way we all hated the United States of America! Next thing you know, the whole blooming discussion is more like a brawl and the epithets flew thick and fast and the noise was incredible! Someone said "son of a bitch" and I think he said "bastard!" (I couldn't be sure; it was all so confusing.) Well, anyhow, I was attempting to get it all back on a rational level. I tried, for example, to talk to the one who had started it all and I asked him just what did he mean we were all full of sh*t? Was he making a statement of fact as he knew it and where was his documentation to back up his claim? I think Socrates would have been proud of the way I refuted his argument. That is, I tried to refute it. But all he could offer by way of rebuttal was more of the same: about how we were all full of sh*t. But he wouldn't say why; he just kept on repeating it. That and the part about Russia and China and Communist dupes. And I'll have to confess that I got a bit angry and told him to stuff his ideas up his * (which you don't have to tell me is hardly a way to convince anyone in an argument). Then he got salty and threatened to give me a punch in the mouth if I didn't shut up. And I really got hopped and the others did, too. And we all beat the sh*t out of Mr. Conservative. And, after all, he had only himself to be blamed. This is still a free country and anyone telling a fellow like me "brother, you're full of sh*t" better be good and ready to answer politely when asked if he'd care to say WHY!!

That's a bit extreme. So tyranny is your answer. I mean I like the imperium, but someone actually saying that this is a real world solution. And people wonder why atheists are disliked, because in the end it'll just be like every other religion, except that it doesn't have a line and therefore WILL without fail be crossed. The emperor himself has an overall law for humanity, he has lived for so long that it probably does give him the conservative estimate to human law in it's entirety, I wouldn't trust any atheist with that same power.

Someone said "son of a bitch", and I think he said "bastard". I couldn't be sure, it was all so confusing. Well, anyhow, I was attempting to get it all back on a rational level. I tried, for example, to talk to the one who had started it all, and I asked him just what did he mean we were all full of shit. Was he making a statement of fact as he knew it, and where was his documentation to back up his claim? I think Socrates would've been proud of the way I refuted his argument. That is, I tried to refute it, but all he could offer by way of rebuttal was more of the same about how we were all full of shit. But he wouldn't say why, he just kept on repeating it, that and the part about Russia and China and communist dupes, and I'll have to confess that I got a bit angry and told him to stuff his ideas up his ass, which you don't have to tell me is hardly a way to convince anyone in an argument. Then he got salty and threatened to give me a punch in the mouth if I didn't shut up, and I really got hot, and the others did too, and we all beat the shit out of mister conservative. And, after all, he had only himself to be blamed. This is still a free country, And anyone telling a fellow like me, "Brother, you're full of shit", better be good and ready to answer politely when asked if he'd care to say why.

Yeah, no. Politics are a necessary part of running any vast amount of people, and a hermit living alone and unruled by anyone can still talk to and believe in God without being any less free. Your concern is understandable at face value, but writing both the *practice of keeping civilisation going* and the study of potential God off the table because you’ve had bad experiences with both isn’t an argument, or even a feasible suggestion. It’s just a tantrum. Wake up and learn to argue better, sheeple, I guess… idk I don’t much care.
