    I’ve had this same player for five years and everything is working like new. Lots say this is a piece of junk but I do like it a lot. The radio and cd have great sound and the record player is good. It does goes a bit too fast but I don’t mind. I like it’s look because when closed it looks like a big old fashion radio. I use it a lot and I’ve recorded lots of records that aren’t available on cd and put them on iTunes then I make copies on CD-R. It’s not for everyone but those who don’t like it just don’t buy it it’s that simple. Great video!!! Also they now have one with Bluetooth and lower price.

    Love this player, reminds me of my dad's 1940'a RCA player it had a spindel that would drop the next record down and a FM/AM radio too I remember him playing his records on it

    Very nice review. Made me very tempted to purchase this for my office at work, but it is missing 2 (actually 3) things. A line out so that I could not only hook up external speakers if I didn't like the built in speakers, but to move the speakers to a more optimal listening position. The second being bluetooth (so I could completely replace the mini RCA stero I already have in my office). (The 3rd thing is that it is lacking a tape player, but I don't have one now plus it would take away from the vintage aspect, so not a big deal). HOWEVER, I came across (what I believe to be) the exact same unit but by a company called RCM. Not only is the RCM version $20 cheaper, it includes a line-out AND bluetooth. I can only assume though that the RCM is a cheap knockoff. It doesn't show a cutout of the speakers and only lists them as 2 x 5.0 watts RMS. Whereas the Electrohome shows 2x 5W 8 Ohms(2.6”) 2x15W 8 Ohms (3.6”) (which indicates to me the RCM only has 2 speakers; not 4 like the Electohome. I think it is best to stay away from the RCM. I can't even find a homepage for them (although I didn't try that hard). Had the Electohome had at least a line-out I would have jumped at it. Sadly though, I will have to continue looking. I'm sure the sound is still very nice, but it just would be nice to have a bit more flexability. Thanks for the very nice, indepth review.

    @@Recordology I realize that this comment is over a year old and that this person's problem has probably been rectified. However for someone seeing this for the first time and experiencing a similar problem a possible cause could actually be the construction of their house. I live in a house with exterior walls consisting of brick over cinder block and I have to put radios near windows in order to get them to pick anything up. The center of the house is the ultimate dead spot. Before returning the product I would try putting the unit next to a window or if possible taking it outside. If the problem goes away then the solution is to either put the unit next to a window or hook it up to an outside antenna if one is available.

    I think you have made a really good video very informative ..Yes it sounds and looks ok ..But i have to say the record deck is not good and looks as it is cheap plastic.But that aside it would be fine for a general use machine and its portable i imagine its well priced and i have herd a lot worse. And it does look better than most modern vintage take off's...One thing though i have found reliability on this sort of thing an issue usually the cd fail's.Its built to a price.One more thing i think you have a great voice for video's and have done a fantastic job with this one .I was so impressed with you video i have subscribed.

    I'm new to turntables and records and such an I had a few questions about this player in specific. I've been searching for awhile now for a good quality, good sounding turntable and this one to me seems very well based on reviews. Considering I'm new to this all I'm unsure about a few things. I recently purchased a record for a friend that plays from inward out but their player doesn't have an autostop turn off so by the time it gets placed close enough to play the record it shuts off. So my question is, does this record player have the capability to play such a record like that without shutting off or would I have to look into another? If so do you have any recommendations on a different player that has such features? External speakers arnt preferred.. thanks!!

  • @Recordology

    @Recordology

    5 жыл бұрын

    Very interesting comment.......inside out records are quite rare these days. I believe the Electrohome has an auto stop so it may not be the best choice in this case. The auto stop feature is common in all in one units - many stand alone record players like the U-Turn Orbit, Crosley C8, and Crosley C100 don't. Does anybody else out there have any recommendations for Elana? What you would be looking for would be called a 'fully manual turntable.' Thank you for watching and commenting!

    Not good that it won't play 45's properly. I'm getting the 7-in-1 Kingston model and I hope it doesn't do that because I want to record my 45's directly to the USB stick, but that's not gonna work if the unit is not capable of playing the records.
