Music is always better with some Doobie…
Damn...Rocking down the Highway..sounds best with the Doobie Brothers
I was a little boy in the 70s and I loved listening to The Doobie Brothers back in the day. Still do to this day.
One of America's greatest rock bands sounds as good as they did in the mid-70s! Johnston's voice is timeless. Finally and deservedly in the R&R Hall of Fame.
Just saw this live in Raleigh, NC last night and they opened the show with this Came out SWINGING!!!! The arena damn near levitated!!! Killer show, these boys STILL got it!
And with Bill Payne on the keyboards!!!
Why the unlike , this is as great as the original...if not better , these guys know how to rock
One of the best bands out of the 70's. Loved this music when I was a young teen. Their music inspired me to learn to play guitar at 13. Turning 60 in a few weeks. Still love to play guitar. Thank you Doobie Brothers. 😁

i can relate those were the good old days.
Tom Johnston is the heart of the this fabulous band. Bring on the Hall of Fame.
This song makes the engine run a little hotter. I drove for 2.5 hours to see them . Worth every minute.
Got my only speeding warning driving to this song. Told the Trooper what I was listening to.
I've loved them since I was a teenager in the 70's. Tom Johnson is a fantastic musician. Underrated singer. He's great ! These guys are timeless rock & roll legends 😊

These guys have always been my favorite Rock band. The unique sound, the blending of voices, the feel good songs and the shear talent of these guys have the Doobie Brothers popular even in 2021. Keep it going, gents!!

This is Lou from Canada 🇨🇦 & I absolutely LOVE the DOOBIE BROTHERS. Going to the show tonight! Can hardly wait. Congratulations on having achieved 50 + years rockin! Thank you for your awesome music. 👌
As good as they come and they sound as good as they did in the mid-70s! Great sound from a truly great band!
You guys are awesome , a fan of you guys over 40 plus years ! May GOD BLESS YOU !
My favourite band since the mid-seventies. Tom and Pat taught me how to play guitar: I spent countless hours working out their guitar parts and styles. Can't wait for the Blu-Ray to hit the stores here in Australia. Would love them to do a guitar tab book of their acoustic songs and pieces.
Best voice ever!
I love the Doobies!!!! Sounding as good as ever 👍👍🎸🎸🎶🎸

I was born in the late 80s Im a Millennial, I never saw the Doobie brothers in their heyday but man their music along with others around their time Era are timeless. 💯👍🏼😎😎😎
They've been a long train running from Boston gardens Nov 75 to now. Great band.
I believe everytime I get to see the DOOBIE BROTHERS live I become a better person. The concert in Toronto last night was very memorable & a lot of fun to say the least. You guys ROCK! Thank you for an awesome evening of one great hit after another. Keep up the great work. Truly amazing musicians! God Bless. Looking forward to seeing you guys again. 👍
Happy birthday Tom Johnston!
Keep playing that great music Doobie Brothers, they just keep reinventing themselves and “Rockin’ Down That Highway”
Can I like this like 10 times please!
top!!!!!!🙏🙏
These songs just make you want to sing, clap your hands and ENJOY it!
I've been a fan since the Doobies began. Even bigger fan now. Keep rockin brothers.
Grew up listening to the Doobies rockin down many hi-ways. The Captain and Me is in my opinion the best recording they did, but love all of their music. Last time I saw them was with another of my favorites, Synyrd.
Running all the time
Great job as always, still sounding great, never get tired of hearing y'all.
Love the Doobie Brothers
Seen the original Doobie brothers many times, when I was a youngster!! LOL!!!
Great music evoking great memories of my early 20’s. Glad they’re still out there. Fabulous music 🔊🔊
Immediately recognizable with the first couple of guitar chords. Most of their songs helped cause me to drive faster than I should, even hearing them in my head when riding a motorcycle. Great songs, great writing, great vocals and great musicianship throughout their hot years, whether Tom Johnson, or Michael McDonald was fronting. All equal, and unique in my mind.
Tom Johnston's vocals -- and his guitar solo -- sound superb!

@Korbon Dallas wow pretty negative shit... if you ever played live you would know that it is much more important for him to stay in the groove and be a solid pocket player than trying to showboat in a live situation ... you fucking ass muppet

He was the lead singer and bassist of the band called "New Grass Revival". I loved that rockin blue grass group in the 80's. He does the bobbin' head thing then, which doesn't bother me! Excellent singer, too.

Damn that's a harsh reply, he's playing the gist of it, he doesn't need to play every little part like the record, and he sings his ass off. And I am a huge Tiran Porter fan, I wish he was still there, but he isn't, and John Cowan is a kick ass replacement.

The Doobies are an American Treasure. May they always puff freely, cuz they are smokin.

hoorayyyy HOF yes!!!!
I notice they are tuned down a half step to A flat. Oh well, can't blame them... I'm having trouble hitting that top A note vocally myself these days. They still got the feel, though.
Wow, que gran banda musical, llena de músicos muy talentosos, que linda música, I love this music

Talenti eccezionali.
No shortage of guitars here!

Irreplaceable. Sorry Michael What's Your Name, this is the iconic combo. Those first few chords let you know, pay attention! Here it comes!
think they’re getting a little help w background vocals, Johnston’s vocals were going while he was away from mic, soloing 😂
@Marckymarc71
5 жыл бұрын
No they weren't. When he was soloing the other guys were singing 3-part harmony. When Tom got back to the mic it went back to 4-part harmony.
What's up with the jerky-jerky head movement of the bass player?

Mr. John Cowan can head bang all he likes as far as I am concerned. The man can play, and has been for over 40 years. Bang on, sir.
His enthusiasm is irrepressible- how many psi is he running anyway!?! Studio version is ti g ter - let's hit that and just fly away Benny mardonez.
Since the have changed the members a million times since the original I remember, I’m starting to lose interest in their music.
Best voices ever!
