Bryan's channel is my all time favorite of all KZread and it trumps my podcast listening channels as well. Saying that I liked it a whole lot better when he was less negative (pre the trolls). 99% of us really appreciate his genuine care for the persons that have been lost on trail. He's so real. I wish he wouldn't address the trolls in that fashion. It most likely just builds up their ego while tearing down his.

Hi Bryan! I recently went on vacation and did some hiking in a state park. I’m a life long hiker but since watching your videos I packed enough food to last a couple days, a lifestraw for a water supply emergency and texted a friend my itinerary and a follow up text that I was done and safe. Thank you for your safety education!

100% agree. I even mentioned some of his tips to my daughter as well as ask her some questions about newer gear I was unfamiliar with. If it can save a life I'm all in!

Hi Brian, Really appreciate your work on this channel. There is a new case of a young woman, a doctor from Madison WI, hiking alone in Iron County WI. She went missing and they found her dead. An investigation is ongoing. Maybe by summertime you could cover her story. Thanks for all your videos and hope you heal quickly.

sorry to give you an update but the police reponed the case as a criminal investigation. His wife knew he lost his navigation skills yet she went on ahead with the agreement to meet up later. If it was me with my elderly parent or loved one in the same situation... Think about it.

Well, I got lost in the woods in a provincial park while taking my sister's dog for a walk and I was lost in the woods for 6 hours. There wasn't another soul around and I couldn't get cell service, nor could I tell which direction was which because it was pouring rain. If not for my trusty companion who never left my side🐕💓 (we were in black bear country) I'd have been a basket case by the time we finally found civilization. So, always carry a compass too!😊
