That "pleasure machine" would be sold out instantaneously time and time again all because of Iskall... thats a brilliant idea, at least ONE person would "shop" at the store and rake in TONS of diamonds!!! If Ren utilized this idea it might just inadvertently make him the richest hermit EVER! All those Rocket sales would go straight into the Diorite Burninator 9001 at near light speed...

Good thing Fire Tick is turned OFF on the server... xP I'm fairly sure that the reasoning behind Fire Tick OFF on the server is 98.5% because of occasionally unhinged hermits like Iskall and Scar to prevent them from burning down the whole server... and 1.5% because of "building" reasons... xD

I think in such a desolate biome, you probably need to be growing your foodstuffs underneath a habitation dome. Maybe with some adjacent facility handling air pressure and filtration for the dome, and some sort of fresh water production building: either a pump for deep aquifer water extraction, or air condensers for harvesting whatever extant moisture is available in the arid atmosphere.

I really liked someone’s idea of placing a bacon with jump boost around your base to create the feeling of an alien planet

My headcanon is that Ren's base is not actually on an alien world. GIGACORP has just enclosed him in a walled-off alien biome as a weird psychological experiment.

Okay but audio redstone timing is Difficult. Getting the Ren-Whoosher perfectly timed and sounding so good, both on activation and deactivation, is a Renstone feat that's worth being proud of. Let it be a signature!

You need an Iskallium Incentive Incinerator. For the price of just one diamond block, the purchaser can use Gigacorp facilities for the next couple of minutes to burn items of their choice. (Bonus points if you sneak in a hopper so you can then recycle and be good on the local ecology...)

Someone else mentioned a habitation dome for plants and I think some sort of a dome would be coooooollll to say, this is a foreign planet and we've got to make our own air or otherwise wear a space suit to breathe. Just an idea though :) glad you had a good trip with the fam, dude!

An idea for the Depot area- build a furnace that is pay to enter (also another swooshy door) for other hermits to dispose of (ahem) bird poop. Double profit! 🤣

To advertise the Diorite shop perhaps make a temporary red circle around shop, make maps and mail them to everyone with a grand opening note

I love the GIGACORP aesthetic. Would be so cool to see a base building game in this art style. Could be a great sense of exploring sorta like Satisfactory when you first land.

No Mans Sky has this kind of vibe when building on dangerous planets. I think you would love it.

While I wish the Diorite shop could've just been an Iskall head, it would not have fitted the aesthetic. Also the whooshy-whoosh is worth it all by itself. 10/10 Renstone.

Just wanted to say that it’s absolutely possible to make a semi automatic diorite farm now since the autocrafter exists. You would need a two ‘micro farms’ to make the diorite farm; being a cobble gen (or you can just load in cobblestone manually since it’s abundant enough), a piglin farm to get quartz (again, you can just move the quartz over manually) , and maybe make a deal with impulse to get some gold to use for the piglin bartering . So it’s not as ‘simple’ per se as just building one farm in one place, but all of the crafting ingredients for the diorite can be automatically gathered

I'm pretty sure I'm not the first to suggest this but it might be a cool little detail to have a bit of a wall broken and have either the overworld flowing into your wall or the other way around. Maybe for ✨lore✨ purposes it could have been broken by a dust storm or some alien monster like a Rancor from StarWars. Either way im reqlly excited to see what you're building this season!!

your base reminds me a lot of the game satisfactory, so i think like a big drill or refinery type building would fit in really well, something that makes it seem like you're leeching the resources out of the alien planet straight from the ground

I’m a bit behind on HC videos as I’ve just moved house and simultaneously had some big health crises over the last couple weeks, but it is always such a joy to watch your videos. You have so much happiness and excitement in your voice and it just feels like getting a warm hug from a friend whilst they talk animatedly about their favourite game. I’m super excited to see more building from you! ❤

Best way to ensure sales, is have some netherack constantly on fire or Lava nearby to tempt Iskall to spend heavily.

A research facility would be a neat addition for your custom biome! Maybe specifically for studying the flora or fauna or some valuable resources that occupy the planet.

I think some sort of terraforming device that spreads grass and flowers around could be neat.

Every exoplanet would probably require a hydroponics installation (i.e. microfarms in some kind of building that lets in a lot of natural light via glass) for the growing of food in a safe environment. I absolutely love that even a build so off-the-cuff that there was no time to arrange for the artist to draw a schematic still gets the full-on Rendog LORE(tm) treatment. :D

Got to the end of all three. I'm enjoying seeing how you put the modules together for your base.

If you run out of space in the future, you could try to make a cave entrance for underground facilities. I'm thinking Hydroponics labs for plant farms or for other types of Xenoresearch 😊

If you are planning to build a landing pad, you could maybe build a big rocket in the sky that just took off with smoke particles etc. Could be cool. Otherwise, the base is looking awesome! And it's such a great addition that you try to add a lot of lore, whenever you build something. Keep it up

That's exactly what BUD powered is, yes! 😃 The piston thinks it's two blocks high, like a door, so you can power it like so. Sometimes it needs an update to the retract or extend, and that's why it's Block Update Detection. ☺️

I can definitely see Bdubz buying diorite, he says he loves making it work (and does a damn good job at it)

I feel like scaffolding fits right into the bases color scheme, some work in progress construction projects could be cool!

A somewhat decorative idea of sorts for the biome... an area or two with like snake/rabbit like creature holes/cracks in the mud? Maybe even have a creature like sound (endermite or silverfish?) using a pressure plate and chicken so the sound goes off randomly sometimes. Like the creature might still be there?

Make a massive Satalitte dish on a tower like in Rogue One..... that be sooooooooooooooooo cool especially in the color pallet.....glad your back dude

Welcome back!! Lol at first I thought the timelapse music had some vocals that sounded a lot like False, then I realised it was her! I love the whoosh sound redstone, it's really clever! I feel like I'm just so aware that pistons move blocks one at a time, that redstone piston doors don't feel as smooth as sci-fi sliding doors, but by giving it a different sound effect, suddenly they feel just as smooth, really helps it fit in with the lore! I love your lore!!

you can use the bartering farm you made with hypno to automatically farm diorite, just make a cobblestone farm in the overworld, send the quartz from the bartering farm to it, and autocraft them together.

Ren you can put lava under the honney, or raw glowstone blocks (yes hear me out) you can put firecamps under the glowstone to make smoke and the bright parts will look hot and glow at night. And use atmor stands for creatures in the biome.

Maybe some sort of deep ravine which showcases different layers of the biome, perhaps include sculk at the bottom?
