9:33 - Wash your face in the morning, evening and AFTER exercising. 9:54 - Change your pillowcase at least once a week, or every few days if you have oily face skin, like me. 10:07 - Change your washcloth every 2 days. 10:14 - Avoid alcohol based cleansers, toners and products overall, ESPECIALLY if you have oily face skin. Also, if you have oily face skin, avoid oil based face products, as well. A lot of other doctors have recommended using a foaming face cleanser, such as CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser for Normal to Oily skin. Sleep better, eat better, don't stress. These are the worst ones...

What dermatologists never EVER state is if you dont "pick" do the pimples magically go away??? I rarely find that happens. What happens is the liquid turns to something hard over many weeks then it doesn't come out without help.

if u pick ur pimples it will leave a scar which is very difficult to get rid of, and if u keep touching ur skin throughout the day u can get more pimples. so if u don’t pick on ur pimples and just let them be or use a spot treatment, they will go away eventually without leaving a mark

Use a hot wet wash cloth to drawl them out. Wear a pimple patch if you are a picker, then hot wash cloth when it looks like it is ready to pop. It takes a little longer than popping, but it will work.

If my insurance covered I'd be utilizing the red / blue light therapy as well, I should do isotretinoin but this current regiment has proved most effective 👍 this is a great overview thanks, there's some missing parts like diet etc but maybe that's another vid 👍

For Acne you must know that Your skin mirrors your gut health. In other words, if you're looking for clearer skin, it might be time to take a look underneath the hood and see what's going on with your gut. 70% of your immune system can be found in your GI tract. So gut problems or stomach issues will impact other areas of your body, like your skin. That's why-a lot of the time-SIBO and skin issues like acne go hand in hand. In fact, one study found people with acne were 10 times more likely to have SIBO when compared to a “healthy control group.” small intestinal bacterial growth (aka SIBO) happens when you get an overflow of bacteria in your small intestine. Symptoms of SIBO include digestive issues like nausea, bloating, abdominal pain, and then, of course, acne. That explains why eating certain foods when you have conditions caused by digestive problems-like SIBO, IBD, or Celiac Disease-causes breakouts or flare-ups with your acne. For example, foods like wheat, dairy, and sugar cause your gut to become inflamed-aggravating your SIBO symptoms and appearing as acne on your skin.

That sounds like a lot. Salicylic acid and sulfur are drying to the skin by themselves. I wouldn't use them together in the same session. Alternate. Use the salicylic acid in the morning and sulfur in the evening or alternate the days. I usually wash twice - heavy cleanser ( like one with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide) first and then a gentle cleanser ( one with hyaluronic acid or some other heavily moisturising ingredient) second. Dried out skin makes acne worse. Moisturised skin barrier keeps the acne away.

the most common otc medication that can be used for all of the things you have is adapalene. you can take it without a prescription & can use it all over your face. just make sure you use a PEA sized amount of it on your WHOLE face after washing your face. you can apply it directly 5 mins after washing your face, or you can moisturize, apply it then moisturize again (the sandwich method). apply it only at night & make sure you apply spf the next morning or your skin will become even more sensitive. adapalene is a very mild version of retinoic acid (a derivative of vitamin A) but it can still cause inflammation, so you can start by using it once to twice a week at night, then increase it to more than twice the next week (if your skin is adapting & responding well) then increase it more until you’re able to tolerate it for nightly use. it’s important to moisturize bc it dries ur skin & it’s important to use spf no matter what. DO NOT use more than a pea sized amount bc that wont speed up anything but irritation. seeing results requires patience so please have that & if you can go to a dermatologist & have more severe meds prescribed to you under their supervision then i believe that’s better for you if you wanna be supervised :) hope your skin heals pretty quickly! & in case you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning on becoming pregnant, stop using it 4-6 months prior to your pregnancy plannings.

Use cerave sa cleanser. Basically a salicylic acid cleanser. After that use a good moisturizer with ceramides and oleic acid sometimes called vitamin f. Don’t add toners and serum yet till you deal with the active acne. Your salicylic cleanser should start at a low percentage before going higher. PS 2% is a high percentage. Most importantly wear sunscreen. Tretinoin can be introduced a month to three months after using the above, seems you need to heal your skin barrier, and using tretinoin on broken skin is horrendous. Also learn about how to apply tretinoin using the sandwich method, start with 0.025 every three days a week before going higher. If it’s too harsh switch to adapelene, while using the same application method, because even though it’s less harsh than tret, it can still cause irritation. Don’t use salicylic acid if you start using tretinoin. Stop it momentarily and use a hydrating cleanser, especially if you have dry skin. Most important thing to do is get a good moisturizer for your skin type with those above nutrients, and a good sunscreen. Edit: If you’re using tret, follow the instructions of the comment above me, it’s perfect on how to apply tret

Benzoyl peroxide is very effective. I do not suggest using it as a spot treatment, as you're supposed to leave a thin layer of product on your face. Then you may want to choose between using the gel as a wash, or for longer sessions. If you have sensitive skin, you should leave benzoyl peroxide on your skin for at least 2-3 minutes then wash it off. If this method is too subtle and your skin requires more treatment; leave the application on for 2 hours, then rinse. Don't forget to follow up with the rest of your skincare. A simple noncomegenic, oil and fragrance free moisturizer should do. If no irritation occurs after a few days of conducting this skincare routine, you can increase your quantity of benzoyl peroxide gel by leaving it on overnight, then washing it off in the morning; continue with the rest of your skincare as usual. Using it as a spot treatment will not be effective, as I've tried this before. It does nothing.
