I read this book when i was in the 6th grade, about age 12. The teacher who placed the order (Scholastic Books sales) called my mom to make sure it was OK for me to learn about the Haulocaust. Thirty years later, I Istill have that paperback copy. Never forget.

Our teacher showed this movie to us in 6th grade. At the end of the movie, one of the students ran out of the room crying because of how messed up it is.

Such an excellent film. Never forget, never forgive.

This was a profoundly meaningful film which was masterfully acted and directed.

Watching this from the wedding scene where they are put into the trucks! How REVOLTING.. men and women, children too, dressed in their wedding's best clothing.. rounded up like dogs.. I want to vomit.....powerful movie... very good/sad/educational... horrific... truthful.... God Help us All!!!

Ugh I feel exactly the same feelings while watching… especially that scene 😞 my god… just so sad. I’ve researched everything about the holocaust… including the use of METH and meth in pill forms… *PERVITIN* tablets sent to every nazi by their families who lived by the factories that produced them… a HUGE part of their downfall was the meth pills (*PERVITIN*) weren’t working anymore…. Nazis getting tired and can’t stay awake… the frostbite acquired….not feeling the effects that (what we now call crystal meth) were not working anymore…. Hitler being injected by heroin and meth… what we call “*speedballing*” which could have stopped his heart at any time….So incredibly sad…. Disgusting…. The sad thing is… humanity only gave the nazis a few years in prison… some sentenced to death…. Amazed at the survivors and every single Jew or individual subjected to these concentrated camps who didn’t survive. Everyone had a story and I wish we knew every single one but some people were lost in history.. I’ll never forget

The way the world's going on right now we might go through the same thing

It gave me a lot of pain and tears to see how much atrocious a man could be. My heart goes for those women and children when they were ordered to take off their clothes. I'm a Muslim but I love people of other religions and beliefs. It was such a big tragedy committed by human on human

Wikipedia also states her father was a German executive at Seimens, which would have been impossible for any Jewish people during or post ww2, and her mother was German/Swedish flight attendant for Lufthansa Airlines. Is it possible for some Jewish religion or ethnicity from either side of her family? Yes. I just doubt the likelihood.

There was an unpleasant situation that arose in germany in which the Jewish people were treated quite badly by the government at the time since nothing like this had every occurred before they,the jews, had to comply with the onerous requirements of the gov. Since they were law abiding people they obyed their instructions. AZ a result of their docility and significant number of jews died after the liberation some one said never again. The germans were harsh but they were civilized people and this was all just a misunderstanding. It wasn't! To compare this time with the actions of a terrorist group acitng out pure hatred I. The most barbaric Religious.hatred on a personal..genocidal level. Who attacked men women and children out of nothing but anti Jewish fervor. One was official government policy the other pure unbridled blood lust . I am sorry to refuse to see the difference.
