This man ‘Piper’ also preaches a false gospel! The Gospel is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. In walks John Piper to add to the good news of the Gospel, by pointing us back to ourselves and our works, which is no different than the law! Ephesians 2:9 destroys this man’s entire ministry! I pray that you will place your faith in the Gospel, instead of this false preacher. We read the Gospel that saves us in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

Seek counsel from an Elder or Pastor, social media isn't the best place to post encounters like this. Remember, that demons can transform themselves into angels of light and many false Christs have gone out into the world. Jesus requires repentance and faith, which can be expressed through emotion, but it is also confessed by our words.

2 Peter 1:9: "For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his FORMER sins." Romans 3:25: "Whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over FORMER sins." God does not forgive future sins because that would be giving us a license to sin. He would never do that.

Then we are toast. In John's First letter he reminds us that "if we say we (presently) have no sin we do lie..." (1 John 1:8). It is written that "he (Christ) shall thoroughly purge His floor" (His wheat, crop or harvest) in Malachi 3:2-3 and quoted in Matthew 3:12. It is praiseworthy in seeing the holiness of God and value of Christ's work to vow obedience, full dedication and intention to obey. But, alas, the poison of sin runs too deep. Salvation is "not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” (Romans 9:16). Christ will save us (separate us) FROM our sins (Matthew 1:21). At least, that's my hope and prayer. God bless-

Are you talking about his Oct. 22 2020 article? If you are, I see no where in that article where he hints or implies that Biden was the better choice. Instead, he hints he won't be voting for either. Please clarify. Also, his main argument seems to be that sin-leading-to-hell leaders, when their sin is obvious and glorified, influence people to take on those same sins, which then influences their eternal destiny. This type of damage isn't even close to the damage of America falling or of unborn babies being killed. To dump a President who was pro-life, fighting for the free exercise of religion and free speech, thwarting the worst bill in over a century (maybe ever; the "Equality Act"), helping African Americans in several policy moves, helping American blue-collar workers by standing against illegal immigration, presiding till COVID over the lowest unemployment rate in half a century and making a strong comeback in the economy in the last few months, and making infinitely better judicial nominations and appointments than we could ever hope for from Biden-Harris (the most recent being within the last 2 weeks before the election). A President, mind you, who hasn't been promoting sexual immorality in his policies or shown to be engaging in such behavior for over 12 years. All for remarks, most of which are distorted (like the perpetual lie about Charlottesville), which have been shown to have zero negative policy consequences. And these Never-Trumpers no longer had the excuse of saying that Trump won't keep his campaign promises. Plus he had a godly vice president and associated himself with many godly people, while Biden picks as Vice President a candidate who is the furthest left in the Dem Party and hates anyone who doesn't support abortion or the whole "LGBTQ" agenda. Biden and Harris, and their ilk, are people of truly bad character, with significant evidence of corruption. They made it possible for a Party to win whose twin idols are abortion and "LGBTQ" coercive law. A Party that fueled destruction of property and violence to encourage racial division and animosity, a Party that insists that people repent of the evil of "whiteness" and view American history as little more than an experiment of virulent racism. These Christian leaders responded out of their left-wing cultural or geographical context that treated Trump as evil's chief minion. They felt their reputation, ministry, or academic position under siege for any support of Trump. So they found shelter in their Never-Trumpism. They used excuses like, "It's going to happen at some time in the future anyway," never stopping to think that another four years of a Trump presidency would likely bear great fruit for judicial appointments whose salutary effect for the nation would continue long after Trump was gone. These Never-Trumpers even acted at a time when polls were indicating that the Republicans would lose the Senate (at the time of this post, that is still possible when one subtracts RINO "Republicans" from the Republican tally), which would have given Dems control of both branches of Congress as well as the White House. This is the greatest and most damaging political folly in my lifetime. Unfortunately, we all have to pay for this betrayal for the rest of our lives.

Just curious as what this has to do with the sermon as well? This is totally unrelated, and from what I understand John Piper stays out of politics unless it comes in conflict with the Bible.

@@howtosavealife3065 John Piper has hated Donald Trump since 2015. The very person who God used to end Roe and to end Obama’s funding of overseas abortions wasn’t good enough for the ostensibly prolife Piper.

@Mary Nasike If you think any, or all of your problems can be solved by Jesus then think again. You have to realize that Jesus is the cause of all your problems not the solution, if you don’t think about him then he’ll go away, it’s time to dump Jesus and all his silly rules for your life, you’ll begin to feel free and so much better. Tell Jesus to take a hike.

@Mary Nasike You pray and you pray but your prayers are never answered, you say to yourself that God works in mysterious ways and perhaps with God's help everything will be alright in the future but you know deep down inside yourself that your pleas and prayers will never be answered because in the big scheme of things you are just not important enough for Jesus to take any action on your behalf. Jesus is a busy guy and there are millions of Christians praying to him every minute of every day, that's billions of prayers he has to consider and prioritise, next he has to check up on whether or not you have been faithful and have been paying your tithes, whether you have asked forgiveness for the plethora of sins you have committed lately and whether or not you have been attending church. If you get a pass on all of God's questions then maybe you'll be put on the list but this is no guarantee that Jesus will see things your way and grant your wishes. You would be far better off asking Satan for help, he's always happy to to listen and he doesn't want ten percent of everything you own. Your choice.

@@Keep83 Whenever anybody questions your silly religion all the paranoia from Christians emerges, everything said is an attack on Jesus and his Daddy God, Christians don't mind attacking every other belief on Earth and they don't mind attacking each other but when anybody questions their fairy stories they go into defense mode and cry about how they're persecuted. Well here's some logic for you. What a pleasant personality this God Christians claim to love has, it seems one of his hobbies is to murder innocent children, we know he set about massacring whole populations of people he didn't like and he sent people to war against each other because he felt they didn't observe his rules, but to murder innocent women and children really gives a good insight into his character. He is an obsessive psychopath with not even the slightest amount of conscience. Read on - Isaiah 13:11-18 I will punish the world for its evil ...Whoever is found will be thrust through, and whoever is caught will fall by the sword. Their infants will be dashed in pieces before their eyes. Deuteronomy 28:53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and daughters, which the Lord thy God hath given thee. Samuel 15:2-3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not, but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling. Jeremiah 19:3-9 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place ... And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters. This is just a very small sample of the psychological makeup of this evil God, he even advocates cannibalism. Where is the love, compassion and understanding that is supposed to be the symbol of this SkyGod, it can't be found anywhere in the bible but there is an abundance of hate, anger and cruelty. Nowhere in this horrible bible is there one example of Satan ordering atrocities against women, children or anybody. Christians are worshiping the wrong God.
