The Lord told me to be still when it did not make sense… I am out of my job under bizarre circumstances and God says do not retaliate … I am the Lord. 3-1-2024🙌🏾

The New Testament equivalent verse to Isaiah 64 v 4 is my favourite verse of scripture….1 Corinthians 2 v 9….”Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, neither has it entered the mind of man, the things that God has prepared ……for those that love Him.” For people like me in their 80’s eternity is fast approaching, so what a comforting verse it has become….thank God for preachers like John Piper …..

I am blessed by John's obedience to God.

Since getting laid off 4 years ago, I now don't know what to do with my business, need to find a part time job to pay the bills, and we need to sell our house to downsize/help with expenses. It's all so much and so heavy, and has been going on for so long. All of this has brought me so close to Him, and deep down I have peace about our situation, knowing I'm doing what He wants me to be doing, and that He's got this. I appreciate John's sermons so much, I can't thank "Desiring God" enough.

Update - one of my clients for my business offered me a job in a totally new field for me - architecture. I didn't even have to interview or put together a resume. I wasn't even looking for a job, was just struggling with my business. It just came to me, like God was saying, ok, enough of that, here's my plan for you.

Praise God! To God be the glory. Amen! & Amen! Because of God’s mercy, by His hand of grace, I share in that blessing in my faith coming upon 6 yrs. He pulled me from that fire, and took away those desires that He allows others to battle and walk through before they receive that blessing. Why? I don’t know? Today, I realize it’s because He’s is special, not me. Amen. God was using John Piper in my before I was brought to faith through the gospel. Since coming to faith, God continues to use Piper to expound and elucidate God’s Word so that I may continue grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Pastor Piper is so much more knowledgeable than the average pastor, he's really an extraordinary man and preacher and I'm so thankful for all his video's. THANK YOU Pastor Piper!! Thank you God for giving John Piper the knowledge to teach us all so very much.

Piper is the man. :) Such a refreshing and life-giving sermon.

God is doing a great work in Northern California. Don't lose help. Don't be afraid. I gave my last 20 years to the enemy and went back and forth living like a demon. God still loves us regardless. Don't let the enemy tell you that you can't ever go back. The devil is going to suffer for eternity. He's jealous of you because you don't have to go like he does. I have so many issues and so much guilt, but the Lord is still there. He's good, loving, and if you wait and keep sinning He will be hard to hear. I am a testimony to the love of God. I am in the craziest battle against the powers of this world. The closer we get to the end, the devil is going to do more to deceive us. Don't believe a thing he says. He hates you. Stop sinning.. Ask the Lord to help you love Jesus.

And, though we have some differences of perspective on scriptures, I totally agree with you on most of your teachings of the scriptures. You are a true blessing to the body of Christ. John Piper is a gifted teacher by God's grace. I'd like to clarify that he does believe that we are saved by grace alone through faith in Christ alone. Check out the sermon by Piper titled " The Obedience of Faith."

Best explanation & encouraging message about waiting for God. This sermon has changed my life forever. Glory to God.

I pray that whenever I have trouble I will read the Bible, pray to the Lord and/or listen to John Piper. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
