"If God wanted to take this country out, He could take it out in a minute." This is why I love men of God like Piper. Unlike too many so-called pastors, he doesn't sugar coat the word of God. God's wrath is glorious, as His love is glorious, and it's a shame that they all ignore the wrath aspect of His glory and just focus on the love.

John Piper is a true follower of our Saviour Christ Jesus. He teaches the deep truths of the one true living God. The reason some don't understand is that Satan has blinded them to the TRUTH. May our heavenly Father soften the hearts, give understanding, and faith to all unbelievers so that they will know You Christ Jesus.

There is no such thing as believers unless you believe in the rejected gentile Jew Jesus Christ that offered himself for the sins of the world and he was rejected only 24 hours after he died and four and half days later a NEW Jesus Christ appeared that was a gentile Jew and he was carried away in a cloud,It is all a myth that Jesus Christ was ever real and alive but if so he was a worshipper of Baal and he revealed when standing before Pilate that he was not the coming redeemer from the book of Isiah, He died and went to hell a total failure in life and now you really believe that myth???

I honestly feel that we should not be looking at John Piper but the word of the Lord. Numbers 22:21-38 God is not limited to get his message a cross to us. Therefore I am grateful for John Piper's bible teaching because it cause my heart to be humble and submit to Jesus Christ.

One of the best expository pastors EVER. I’d even go as far as saying this man is a better expositor of the Scriptures than C.H.Spurgeon. I don’t mean to flatter, I’m just saying, Piper puts my mind to work every time I hear him, and puts my heart in action with new desires for Christ, every time.

FOR ONE THING, ISN'T HE A calvinist IF I REMEMBER CORRECT ? THAT STUFF IS WAY WAY OFF, AND LESSENS THE GLORY OF GOD QUITE A BIT...

John Piper is an excellent preacher of the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST. His Gospel is good news to all men. turning away from sins and living for a purpose. To love others, care for the homeless, the broken, and the ones who are unloveable. I have seen Jesus open the eyes of the blind, make people get up from wheel chairs. Families where there to witness. Doctors have no explanation, but a miracle from Jesus.

If this is still an issue, i would recommend studying it. Read commentaries, it is not something you could stumble upon doing. It’s not a thought, it would be more like a true turning from Christ, knowing that He is who He said He was. Still turning away, living a sinful life and then blasphemy the Spirit with true intention of denying Him. Remember not just a thought or thought pattern. Blessings

It was a different video that creates this question: If we have a renewed mind, then why would you teach a person who believes they are "Bi-Polar" that they can take psychotropic medications and be fine? Your response to the question of the Christian and Psych Meds was clear. You approved of it, and yet here you teach about the renewal of our minds. Which is it brother? I ask with due respect, but I do not want to see people that I counsel be deceived.

Yes you do have faith that's why when you ate today, you believed your food did not have any bacteria that was going to harm you, you had faith that the people that process food did everything right for everything that is edible in your refrigerator. You have faith that you will make it to work or somewhere on time. You have faith that I will write you back after you reply. My point is you do have faith, everyone does, you are just putting your faith in what you want and not in the Living God.

I know he is a man of God, but it makes me wonder where our love is as believers. A lot of good truths from the word, but his anger is so evident...

They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. {impenitent heart suppress truth} * REMEDY TO MIND & HEART PROBLEM?1. power of Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5 God saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit)2. steady gaze @ the glory of Jesus Christ2 Corinthians 3:18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. * we need Holy Spirit to BOTH put in us Christ exalting truth gospel & work inside out by humbling our hard hearts * devil fears people seeing glory of Christ for who He really is bc way we get transformed!2 Corinthians 4:4In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. * THEREFORE, PRAY - ask Holy Spirit to lead you to Christ exalting truth & INSIDE subjectively lead you to truth embracing HUMILITY = WORSHIP * PURSUE CHRIST EXALTING TRUTH - LISTEN TO RICH EXPOSITORY GLORY OF CHRIST, READ BIBLE LOOK FOR PERFECTIONS/BEAUTY JESUS CHRIST, READ EXPOSITIONS OF NATURE & WORK OF CHRIST * PRAY HOLY SPIRIT WOULD RENEW OUR MINDS, SHATTER HARDNESS HEART & truth embracing humility/teachability

That's it! You needed to hear it. (It's utter crap, based on myths and lies - but it massaged what you needed to have soothed - and you're OK now.) Enlightenment I wish you. But I don't hold out much hope.

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.- 1 Cor. 1:20-24

How do you mean? when someone 'makes war' against sin, what do you think that looks like practically day-to-day? I would say this is in line with what Paul says in Ephesians or Colossian 3:5 and good (and vital) practice for Christian living. Just honestly curious by what you mean.

Can someone help clarify this? At 10:30 I believe he's talking about the "list of the flesh" being replaced by the "fruit of the spirit." The works (The Law) of the flesh vs the fruit (grace.) "Not a new list of moral behaviors instead of a list of immoral behaviors but a new power from the holy spirit." I think he's describing the new covenant of being under grace and not under the demands of the law. The demands of the law is pretty much "Do this" and "Don't do that" which Jesus saved us from and John Piper agrees with. After stating this, why does John Piper continue talking about things you "ought" to do. Isn't that going back to the law which Christ took us out of?

No. He's not only talking about the grace of God to forgive sin but the power of the Spirit over the desires of sin. We must still take action(repentance from sin) and we have a choice to do so or not.

+George L Romans 7 walks this out, as does Galatians 5. We are at the same time occupied by the Spirit, the "engine" of the new man (person), and our Flesh, the old man (person). Piper's point is that God didn't come down and say "OK, by your own strength, do better.", but HE actually TRANSFORMED who we are, and empowered us to do good. We actually DESIRE to do God's will after salvation, but that desire is at odds with the desire of the flesh. Paul talks extensively about renewing your mind, which is essentially feeding your new person what it needs to grow; scripture, prayer, fellowship with other believers, discipleship with more mature believers and church leaders.

+Kyle Bailey It all sounds like bullshit to me. You know when I converted to ya'lls cult of christianity i felt exactly the same way as before, that change you are talking bout most had happened way way deep in my spirit cousec I didn't felt shit. In my opinion, nothing changes. That's way they tell you to "renew" your mind. Is total bullshit

You are entitled to your own opinion and i respect that. First thing is first though, you do not know me and I do not know you, so I would gladly talk with you about this interesting subject of religion which has to do with everyone living in this world, everyone has a faith and let's not be offensive or have defensive replies. So let me know if you are ever interested in discussing about God, creation, Jesus, science, etc. God bless you.

God's Wrath is glorious? From a famous Sermon used to scare kids: ".the child..it was condemned to Hell. See! It is a pitiful sight. The little child is in this red hot oven. Hear how it screams to come out. See how it turns and twists itself about in the fire. It beats its head against the roof of the oven. It stamps its little feet on the floor of the oven. You can see on the face of this little child what you see on the faces of all in Hell-despair, desperate and horrible!" Hell is a lie!

John I love your work, however understand that Paul said that if all you have in this life is the hope of Christ then we are the most pitiful of all men. Jesus came to teach sinners the true way of life, nominated demons are the denominations of the world today, people who have lost their way and fallen into temptation. Jesus was the righteous way and you will only understand that way if you hear his voice when he comes.

"Yes you do have faith" No. I'm quite faithless, I assure you. "you believed your food did not have any bacteria that was going to harm you,you had faith that the people that process food did everything right..." No. That's why I wash & cook food thoroughly. Precisely because we don't have faith in the absence of non-fatal bacteria & because I doubt the food prep of others. "You have faith that you will make it to work or somewhere on time." No. That's why we leave early.
