Thay said, there’s no way to peace. peace is the way. He was a living Boddhisattva. I’m so glad now to know that I lived in a time with a real life Boddhisattva. May we be well, be happy and be free from suffering.. Bless you Thay. Much love to you then, now and forever. Thank you Brother Phap and all at Plum Village. With Metta,

As meaningfully shared, and beautifully explained as this was by Brother Pháp Dung. I cannot tell you how cool it was to hear such an apt reference to Star Wars. Coolest Monk, ever. 🙏

I always think of Thay as my spiritual father, the one who is guiding me through the life. I'm thinking "What advise would he have been giving me in this situation?". I think it would start with "Take a deep breath and calm yourself and your thoughts, then you will have a clear mind and know what to do". I've only seen him on videos and read some of his books, but I still feel that I've connected with him on a deep level and I did perceive his gentle humboldness, love, friendly appearance and great wisdom that he shared with us all who were ready to listen to his teachings. I've so grateful that he appeared in my life and that I saw him with my own eyes, such a beautiful person! ❤❤❤

Thank you for this beautiful explanation dear Brother Pháp Dung! I have a strong memory of you co-teaching with Brother Pháp Lin (I think?!) feeling so nervous to lead the Dharma Talk for the whole sangha gathered in New Hamlet during the Christmas/New Year retreat in 2015. You used a slide show as a support for this new way of showing up as a PV monk, and we were all feeling compassion for your shyness as Thây was struggling in Bordeaux hospital - such intense and emotional times! The magnificent way you and your monastic brothers and sisters have grown into your teaching roles with such grace and confidence is a tribute to our teacher and your own deep practice. Much love and gratitude to you all 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hello 👋 Dear Friend ❤ Yes, You are right. Thay means "Teacher" or "Our beloved Teacher" (hope I'm correct) - this is how "children" of Zen Master - monastics and students of TNH address to Him.

@@adamalferovich6940 Thank you very much for responding. Now I understand; that makes sense, because I’ve heard of other masters being referred to as “Thay” -so I wasn’t sure if it was his actual name or more of a title. I am new to Buddhism, and I am on an awakening journey. And I enjoy listening to TNH -I have learned much thank you Wishing you peace and joy ✨❤️✨
