How about the fact that acclaimed director, Akira Kurosawa, wanted to make a Godzilla movie? However, due the fact that he was absolutely notorious for going over-budget, Toho was absolutely terrified of how much a Godzilla movie he’d make would cost, and chose not to let him.

I... don't agree. Shin Goji was what it was. It was simultaniously the closest to the original & most distant at once. As is, Gojira can show up & present as analogous to whatever calamity one wishes for him to embody. To that end, Shin was excellent. As for the reported 'Cosmic Horror' ever-evolving / world-ending abomniation aspect... nah, non thanks. If nothing else, Minus One's massive success garauntees at least one or more *quality* Godzilla films will follow. In that, I think we can all joyfully agree.

One thing I remembered specifically about shin Godzilla was that after releasing the humanoid tail creatures shin Godzilla was going to evolve into a Godzilla and Destroya hybrid and then after that a weird goddess looking creature. Then there was the deleted scene where a recovery team find chunks of Godzilla’s flesh that were growing teeth and eyes staring down the team.

Respectfully you were wrong on the eras of Godzilla. It breaks down like this. Showa Era: 1954-1975 Heisei Era: 1984-1995 Millennium Era: 1999-2004 Monsterverse/Reiwa: 2014-?? This era of Godzilla is still on going and I think putting them together is the right fit since Hollywood and Toho are both making Godzilla/Giant Monster movies currently. Doing a great job of it I might also add.

I can imagine a Godzilla in Hell film, kinda like Dante's inferno. Each level will have a giant guardian being mini boss battles.

There was a script called the wife of Godzilla (could be remembering the name wrong) , in it after Godzilla rampaged in og movie, he killed one scientist daughter, and to avenge her, he build Godzilla sized human female robot, to seduce Godzilla. And it freaking worked, so he used that robot to lure goji into a trap then blown him to a bits.

I was not expecting Godzilla! This is making history on this channel! Zilla was my first experience with the franchise as a kid. I actually really enjoyed the film. Was surprised about learn that added detail to the design. I actually watched a couple video by the Game Theorist about the Mecha Godzilla reference recently. One going into deep analysis about possibilities, then a very short one about this. XD

I was the same. I really liked Godzilla 1998. Before that i watched some scenes from Japanese Godzilla movies but i didnt like it at all. Even when i was kid when i saw Japanese Godzilla i just saw a suit and i know there is a man. Godzilla 1998 looked a lot more cinematic. And now i love that Toho removed the dumb childish suit and made great great Godzilla Minus One which 100% CGI and thats why the movie is the best. Monsters need to be CGI...

Godzilla is huge part of my childhood and i still watch things about godzilla and if we think it is a 70 year old franchise it is no surprise there is a lot of things that actually dark. Also in this iceberg there is a lot of things even i don't know great job man

Another Fake Godzilla trivia: This form is also featured in the game Godzilla Battle Line, but it can take on different Godzilla forms (the Fake Godzillas I encountered in the game were Heisei, 2000, Final Wars, and MonsterVerse). To see Fake Godzilla in the game, you need to deploy Mechagodzilla (Showa) after putting him in your deck.

Oh yeah I forgot to say.. Having marathoned as much of godzilla as I can.. The human Kung fu mutants and aliens are missing from the weird.. With the monsters and the mutants sharing the same psychic chemicals controlled by the aliens. A whole lot of neo from matrix moments and haggard from street fighter lol.. Fecking bizzare... Love it. I'm not 100% sure about this, so if I'm giving false information here, then I would be pleased to be fixed with this. So, Muscle Mothra. I don't know how or who created this cartoon version of the character, however I can understand it's existent. If I remember correctly, in Japan body builders are one of many popular characters used in jokes and comedy. If you know Cho Aniki, that game is based on body builders & puns. So I can think Muscle Mothra being this jokey gag of the popular character.

Surprisely I knew a lot of things...

Whoa whoa whoa, I think I fell into a mandala field, I watched Showa era Godzilla films religiously as a child, along with Scooby Doo, in particular, Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School, and I cannot remember in all my times watching it , while childhood thirsting over Fangorela and Phanti, I never saw Godzilla's Daughter in the introductory line up once. This has to be either mandala effect, or capitalistic interest canonically editorializing for shareholders stake, either way Godzillas daughter was not in any other part of that Scooby Doo movie outside of this alleged line up clip.
