You know what's crazy about Colby covington too, there's a documentary about him. When he got into ufc he was undefeated and had won I think like his first 3 or 4 fights in ufc, and then he was told that he was gonna get cut after his next fight whether he wins or lose and the company said its cus he doesn't entertain. That next fight in post fight interview he said "Brazil your a dump, all you are filthy animals" and that same night his Google searches rose through the roof so ufc kept him. That's when Colby became the chaos character.

Less severe examples are: They traded Mighty Mouse, the greatest flyweight of all time after a 13 fight win streak because he lost 1 fight. Look at Elias Theodorou, he was cut from the UFC after winning 3 then losing 1. Justin Willis, 4 fight win streak, dropped 1, got cut.

The ufc used to be categorized as a sport. Around 2009 the UFC got with WWE fake wrestling for boosting people in the seats, and it worked. They then changed the categorization as a sport to an entertainment. This is the reason Mark Hunt lost his lawsuit. As an entertainment they can fix all the fights with no problem.

I was initially just a boxing fan, but I started following UFC a few years ago and found it very refreshing. I was just sick of fights not being made and the politics of it. Actually the first recorded use of the term "Dana White Privilege" is from Jesse.....The Founder and GrandMaster of Mexican Martial Arts @MexicanMartialArts

The Colby situation is unique and im not sure if we've ever seen anything like it. As we all know he was assaulted last year by jorge masvidal and it chipped his tooth. initially he was probably recovering and getting surgery for the tooth fix and pressing charges and staying away from jorge. He's said on podcasts that after that incident he wanted to stay out of the spotlight and interviews because he couldn't discuss an on going case. He hasn't had the longest career but there is no denying he is a good fighter, his fights against Kamaru were super exciting to watch. I think since he's ranked 2nd in the division he definitely deserves a title shot, and if he loses then we watch him fight other top welterweight contenders, its a win-win situation. He deserves it more then jorge who is ranked 11th, and more then belal who hasn't faught a top 3 guy yet.

In my personal opinion i think colby deserves the shot, i dont see anyone else who deserves it. Belal hasnt fought a top 3 guy, burns lost to khamzat (all be it a close fight), Khamzat is probably not fighting in welterweight again. So we are only pretty much left with colby.

@@mhmhmmhmhm5162 If Khamzat isn't fighting, then by process of elimination, Burns and Colby needs to duke it out before he deserves a title shot. Colby has literally already been granted two title shots in his last four fights, both of which he lost. Granting him another title shot this quickly without at least another win over another good fighter is just straight-up Dana White privilege. You already gave him two of which he lost and now he gets to go again? He couldn't beat Usman twice but Leon beat Usman twice. Wtf is that? Muhammad Ali had to beat Frazier before he could prove he deserved to face Foreman. The video is right. This isn't a sport. This is a business. Khamzat also definitely has the Dana White curse and we don't know what is happening behind the scenes with him.

@@Ishbikes a little more to it… like him dropping exclusive news before Dana scheduled to release it and wanted it hush hush and a huge surprise. Ala UFC 200 big announcement of Brock Lesners return that they planned to announce later that night, but Ariel got the info and dropped it before they did, thus ruining the surprise. So that got him banned and got a bunch of UFC employees who knew about it in trouble and were questioned. Having said that, Ariel made so many videos about being butt hurt by Dana so he would make sure to have content to make Dana look bad when he got his feelings hurt. But Colby finally said something smart and gave great advice “Never piss off the boss!” If you ever want to work for a company or get a raise or certain privileges or special treatment, you better make sure there’s nothing out there with you talking crap on the Company or the Boss! Does this video really say anything bad or just quoting other fighters opinions on it and showing examples of it, so maybe the examples would be tough to explain to Dana!

To be "privileged" all you need to do is fight well, talk well and accept fights.
