    Dallas upgraded in all the positions that left. Oline is better. Diggs back and overshown back nomore hybrid crap and our players are back to normal weight and not underweight and playing different positions. Other then that Dallas is still the same team. How won't they make playoffs this year Mike? I disagree with u on that one bud.

    Since Jerry Jones bought the Cowboys 35 season ago the cowboys have gone 312-251 in the regular season.. have made the playoffs 18 times.. which means under Jerry the cowboys made the playoffs over half the time (51.42%).. won 3 Superbowls.. and have the most highest valued sports franchise in not just football but all sports in general.. that’s the opposite of trash..

    If you pay Prescott 60 million. Then you're going to pay Parsons $35 at least cuz he's going to want that same thing with CD lamb. He's wanting to be the highest paid. You can't pay all three or if you did, you're going to end up losing one or two of them within a year or so because they're going to be backloaded. That's the problem with Prescott's contract right now it's backloaded with all the money in the back end of it.

    Dak is not worth the money he is getting and he sure doesn't need to be paid more . Now CD Lamb and Parsons have proven they can play in big games that count. Prescott has choke for eight years when it comes to games they must win. And you can't say he didn't have a good offensive line and receivers. He is a very good back up but nothing more. All he does is thrown short passes. With the receivers he has had he should be throwing deep down the field to keep the defence playing their man closer. But they know more than likely he's not throwing deep.

    As a Cowboys fan, it's maddening watching this circus. They have no clue what they're doing. If I was GM, here is what I would do: - Sign CD Lamb - Shop Parsons - Start calling around the league and seeing who will give you what (Yes, shop him. He is another player that fades late in the season) - Let Dak prove it. You're the man?? Well, we haven't seen that in 8 years. Prove it this season. - Once Dak flops late in the season again, take your now 3 1st round picks and tell your scouts to go find the best QB in the draft.

    Here's the problem. These players need to get taken down a peg or two to be able to have competition and players around you. Stop paying these QBs upwards of 50 and $60 million and give them $30 million contracts with $45 million Max. That's with incentives so they have to earn the 15 million same thing with these receivers and these defensive players that want to be highest paid 25 million with 10 million in incentives. If they're wanting $35 million a year earn the 10 million

And we've got people making triple that in one year! I mean, I get that these guys are the best players on the planet, but come on! These salaries are getting absolutely insane...I think a good surgeon, dentist, or attorney is worth more than any professional player. Players entertain, nothing more... I know there are people out there who will argue with me, and that's ok. Its the richest sports league of the 4 major NBA, MLB, NHL and NFL and the players are get paid the 3rd lowest only Hockey pays less obviously cause its not considered as popular as the other 3 leagues. That being said I have to disagree 90% of players are grossly underpaid for such a short career that almost guarantees lifelong health problems that start typically when a player is out of the league in their 30's. Doctors, Teachers, Lawyers when they retire they haven't sacrificed their lives and health the way the entertainment industry has. Speaking of, Actors also with these huge contracts making multi millions of dollars to make a 2 hour movie further reflects that it's the millions of fans who desire to be entertained is what drives thr market. It's been said Law Enforcement which is even more dangerous a job in comparison to an athlete can not be paid million dollar salaries cause how can you determine who is doing the job for the right reasons? In my opinion its the multi Billionaire owners who hide behind the scenes except for Jerry Jones who are making the ridiculous amounts of money and trust they don't mind fans express the opinions that players don't deserve the money they've earned. Just wanted to point out the players you speak of who get paid the most is a short/small list compared to the rest of the rosters. 53 man roster, normally you'll have 3 to 5 high paid players compared to the remaining 45 to 50 players who don't make the money most incorrectly think they do.

    Dak is not worth $60M per year unless Cowboys are just playing to win regular season games or a division title. This is not the goal. Dak simply does not have the ability to win big games in the playoffs. He doesn't know how to manage his nerves when it's win or go home. Now, he could make things really easy for Jerry by saying just give me a 4 year contract for $40M a year or $160M fully guaranteed. But you know he's not going to do that. He's not Tom Brady, who was willing to take less than market value in order to win SuperBowls. Dak doesn't care about championships because he hasn't gotten close enough to sniff one. Dak just cares about the money.

    @kjdixon11 Brady didn't play for money. He played to win SBs and to become the GOAT. His wife being rich has nothing to do with his motivation. Dak isn't worth $60M or to be paid as a top 5 QB. If he would just accept his limitations and allow room for the Cowboys to build around him, he may have a much better chance to win a SB. Brady believed in his ability to elevate those around him. The comparison is not about Dak and Brady or even money but that when you know you're not good enough, get the best team around you so you can win.The bottom line is if Dak really wanted to win championships, he will find a way to get the best players on the team to accomplish this goal.

    I think it's easy to say this now if you ignore the context of the situation. Remember Dallas has been in a similar situation like this before where we went all in for a Superbowl and lost in the divisional round. Dez and Tony were up for contracts.they got paid, they paid Romo early and we lost in the divisional round they and were in salary cap hell. Both Dez and Tony declined and eventually they got a young QB behind Romo by the name of Dak Prescott who then took the league by storm when Romo got hurt. I bet they're trying to do the same with Rey Lance behind Dak as that's how the past 2 Dallas Qbs got their starts. Also Dak had some serious mental and physical health concerns. His injury was a serious potentially career altering injury that basically changed his style of play. So they likely back-loaded his contract because they initially weren't going to pay him and other teams likely were scared to pay him after watching him snap his leg in 2 on national television. If Dak didn't return to MVP status which is what the Cowboys and other teams likely thought would happen given that it was a similar injury that ended Joe Theismann's career, the cap hit wouldn't have been as big if they had to cut him. Before this year, it looked like they were right because he was slower, very injury-prone, and was one of the league leaders in interceptions. People were arguing that Cooper Rush should have taken his job. I don't think anyone really anticipated him playing like an MVP and to Dak's credit he bet on himself and earned a big contract, backing Jerry into a corner

    And if Prescott doesn't want to be the highest paid player just like he said, why does he need an agent to talk this over? Take a fair amount of money. 30 million guaranteed with 15 million in incentives. If he makes the playoffs he gets so much. If he wins a playoff game he gets so much he gets to the NFC championship. He gets so much. He wins the super bowl. He gets so much plain and simple. If you make them earn the last incent apart like it should be on every contract that's signed then the player is actually going to play better because they are not going to get all the money

    Maybe it is a new way they testing. Play your top players until a new contract comes up, franchise tag the best you wanna keep and trade the others or let them walk. You probably had their best years, or maybe they ball out another 1-2 years somewhere else. This only works ofc if you do very well with drafts. Major problem is young players have not enough playoff XP... I guess this explains a lot, especially recent years

    Here's what the Cowboys are going to do, and I know it may be hard to hear for Cowboys Fans. They are going to trade Ceedee and Parsons. They are going to follow in the footsteps of the Raiders(especially if they fire Mike McCarthy), and trade those players while they can get maximum value for them. Parsons, a team is dumb enough to trade a few first round picks and then some for him. Ceedee, a team will pay a first round pick and then some for him. And they both will immediately get lucrative contract extensions. Meanwhile Dak will get around $55Mil a year. I don't care what anyone says, you can't give up 30-50% of your cap to 3 players, and that's exactly what the Cowboys would do if they manage to resign their 3 players. And, this is coming from a Jets Fan, finding a franchise Quarterback is like trying to shoot a moving target while blindfolded. It's a crap shoot. And Prescott, whether you wanna admit it or not, but he IS a starting caliber quarterback in the NFL. You keep him until the wheels fall off

  • @omutvtube3910
    @omutvtube3910Ай бұрын

    I said at his last contract extension that Dak’s contract should be performance based where he can’t manipulate and back load any contract. I am just so done with getting hopes up only to see Dak throw it all away. I want a perfect O line just to expose how dumb his passing choices are. I know he would still throw pics, even with little pocket pressure. Until Dallas beats good teams consistently, Dak has nothing to negotiate until he beats real teams. Total BS I wouldn’t give him 100 bucks a year.

If he was building for the future, at all during his GM tenure that he can’t get fired from, he would have a beast of a team. In stead he keeps seeing squirrels and spends his time chasing them.

    Trey Lance is not under contract for the '25 season. TJ Watt not being mentioned as a top pass rusher is aggregious. Dan Quinn good coach but I'm not sad to see him leave. Dude mailed in the game plan against Green Bay. Mike Zimmer is the best free agency pick up for the Cowboys this off-season. Stopping the run will be of high priority again in Dallas with Zimmer you can bank on that. Defensively they still have personnel issues on stopping the run but at least in Kendricks we have a true Mike Linebacker and not a hybrid safety that gets washed out of every play. Dallas had the number one offense in the league last season? Am I correct on that one? So they're just gonna fall off a cliff??? And not make the playoffs? So what's Dak's record again against the NFC East? Calm down Cowboys Nation.

    What are you talking about you have never seen a dead cap hit like this? Carson had a dead cap hit of 33 mil and Matt Ryan had one of 40.5 mil. Also, the Justin Jefferson contract probably helped the Cowboys because CD wanted $35 mil which is what JJ got and CD isn't better than JJ which will hurt his negotiations if he tries to get that much.

    It is not that hard to understand, Dak had a huge cap hit. Extending him pushes that cap hit back. Where letting Dak play out his contract lessens the cap hit. If Dak resigned, his cap hit would’ve been $25M in 2024 and $40M next season. Now if Dak resigns next off season his cap hit is $25m in 2025 and $40M in 2026z Letting him play out this contract allows the Cowboys to manipulate frontloading and backloading Dak, CeeDee, and Micah’s contracts to not be in “salary cap hell.” It also give the Cowboys more leverage, where if Dak chokes, they can use that in negotiations to make him take less money or move off him entirely (which I doubt they do because they’d owe him Either way, if the Cowboys want to keep Dak, or if they choose to let him go, taking his cap hit and waiting to resign him makes the most sense.
