I think it’s more so the mentality and emotional state of the QB. Sometimes when you’ve just done what Bennett did at Georgia, yeah it’s a lot of pressure. But spiritual warfare is real and I think that he should focus on praying to God for a personal relationship with Jesus and if he has one already. I’d tell him to dig in and give him some time, he knows your heart and what you’re going through. Stay blessed man I know God will see you through this shout out to you Bennett.

I was an alcoholic all throughout my 20s. Nearly 6 years sober. Rock bottom is hell. Blacking out multiple times a day, rarely eating, vomiting daily, getting arrested, alienating yourself from everybody, and so much more misery. It's not easy but it's possible to claw through it. You have to have the strength to face everything that's haunting you and figure out how you're going to deal with it. Then you have to boss up and deal with it. Conquering addiction takes time and there is no bouncing back overnight. Your brain needs time to heal and the road is long. It's often very dark. When you finally feel comfortable and confident in your sobriety it is imperative to stay busy. Put your talent and hard work into something that makes you happy and something you can feel a sense of accomplishment with. I could go on forever. If you're reading this and you're struggling, FIGHT! You really can do this.

I leave in Athens Georgia and what I heard what happened with JT Daniels not playing is that he got hurt earlier in the season and at some point the team doctors said he was good to go but Daniels went to his own Doctor and he said he should wait so that's what Daniels did. Kirby didn't like that very much so when Daniel's doctor said he was good to go Kirby decided to be spiteful and make him sit out until Bennett started messing up but he never did and the rest is history.

This kid is a straight killer . He proved that by winning back to back national titles in the SEC. I am an Auburn fan and he continues the pain of UGA but this guy is one helluva QB. He was shook a bit against Ohio in 22 but he gained his composer and took care of business against a very very good team. That was the real Natty that year. Hope you have a great career DD Bennet.

If it was an alcoholism issue, there likely would have been some sort of reports of him checking into a rehab facility of some sorts. I'd lean towards this being something mental health related, either depression based or based on the behavior of when he was arrested, I think something along the lines of a bipolar disorder brought on by depression. Either way, hopefully he's gotten things ironed out and on the right meds or therapy to keep him on the right path to health.

That UGA Bama championship game for the natty that year though, a lot of starters were out for that game. This was the first game that started Bama's slide. Started in that game with the backups being more poorly coached. That season Bama was only rushing for 3.2 yards per carry at best. But the difference of when the starters were in crushed UGA in the SECCG. We can all pretend though that it didn't make a difference but it did. At the presser Saban threw his own backups under the bus and said, they weren't prepared and they should have been. lol . UGA has never beaten Bama in any SECCG.

As a Rams fan, this was the best team he could go to The culture is very strong here. It's rare that a GM and Coach lets a rookie take a FULL YEAR off for mental health reasons. But he's looking good in OTA's. Now all he has to do is sit behind and learn from Matthew Stafford and Jimmy. I ain't worried about it

To be fair, the Kentucky/Georgia game was pretty close in 2022. Kentucky couldn't get anything going offensively, Will Levis had a fairly disappointing second season at Kentucky after his incredible first year there. But UK's defense really did a great job that game. Holding Georgia to only 16 points, they were really one good offensive drive and a couple big plays from making that an interesting game. Similar to a game a few years ago (can't remember what season) but UK was tied with Georgia at the half. 0-0 lol, but still, as a Kentucky fan I would really love to see them beat a top program. They finally got over the Florida drought and have been consistently winning that matchup, they have also been consistently beating UofL. My number one wish is for them to get over that Rocky Top hump and start beating Tennessee. They always seem to choke those games away as the ugly orange really has their number. After that, a marquee win against a top, high ranked, championship program like Georgia or Bama has to be a goal. It has yet to be done in the Stoops era. I remember in 2007 when UK beat number 1 LSU, what an exciting moment that was. Rich Brooks had a pretty stacked team that year. It is just hard to beat teams filled with 4-5 star talent with mostly 3 star at best guys. UK did pick up a solid QB from Georgia and has some other solid pieces. I think they can have a decent year, maybe better than last year, but with Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC and more conference games on the schedule...it has only gotten tougher.

As a lifelong Bama fan, I cannot stand Bennett's smarmy smirk. If our receivers hadn't gone down, Alabama would've won that game. Regarding alcoholism, it sucks. This culture will shun and cancel you if you smoke a cigarette, but alcohol is glorified, pushed and celebrated at every turn. We need to do better.
