As a Saints fan, it sucks the No call happened. All the older players on the team are leaving or aren’t in their prime anymore. They would’ve had a chance to compete for a SuperBowl, but they may never get that chance again. About MT dude was our best WR in Saints history, talent wise, and he was on a Hall of Fame trajectory if the injuries didn’t happen. Another thing people don’t understand, is he played in the playoffs on Drew’s last year against the Bucs injured, but he did that to try to get Drew his second ring. He knew it could damage his career but he wanted Drew to go out as a champion again. I will always have respect for him for doing that. Dude was a leader and great mentor for the team and I honestly think he would’ve resigned to the Saints, if DA wasn’t here. Now I will say the medical team didn’t help at all, for years every Saints fan would tell you how horrible they have been. One injury that he had was misdiagnosed and is the reason way he is injury prone. He wasn’t lying about the medical staff on his way out. If they treated that injury I highly doubt his body would be as broken as it is now. I could say the same for a lot of the players that played for the team. Oschner’s been kinda mid on the Saints staff. As a patient of them, I’ve been good, but the players haven’t. Overall I hope he contributes to a contender and wins a championship. I will always route for him, unless he goes to the Falcons lol

All that is true and that "NOLA No Call" did us in for the foreseeable future and we haven't recoved since. MT was on his way to a historically great career, but playing through that injury has costed him. But I have a lot of respect for him. Also I had neck surgery at Ochsner and several family members have been treated by them so I know that they have been great. But I don't know why they haven't been good for the Saints or Pelicans for that matter.

He got that Albert-Haynesworth syndrome. Got that $100 million dollar ($60 million guaranteed) contract inked, and getting up at 4:00 AM just didn’t seem that attractive anymore. Got a turf-toe injury, he knew he needed surgery and waited until it was time to report to camp to have his surgery. Ghosted the team. Got another $10 million guaranteed last year to show up to camp and play like half a season. He earned the money and decided to stop putting in the effort. I can understand why one would stop trying when they have enough money to give 3 generations a great lifestyle without any effort for the rest of his life.

We have to remember this is a business and a job. When you have that F U money to just leave, and you don't like the position you're in at work and you feel like they are taking advantage of your body for their gain what would you do? It hit a little different when you don't got to settle for less and can say I'm out! Boss move if you ask me made millions of dollars and still have my brains to enjoy my success with my family and minor body injuries that he has vs those he will get if he keep playing that will only get worse and harder to recover from the more he ages. Sounds better than playing ball if you ask me. Football isn't for the faint of heart you take trauma every game especially at higher level where 6'5 linemen run 4.5's same 40 he ran.

He had a decent yeat considering he only played 10 games. He can still be a decent option and if he can stay healthy, and if you take last year could get around 60-85 grabs. But he doesnt come out if his breaks the same and isnt the same player who get all those contested catches. But that is all from his ankle injuries.

This is generally how the majority of the mega super stars get to where they get to. On the other hand many children do not ever get to reach their max potential at their talents because of the way the world is set up. Which is exactly why I remind everyone to stay in faith with God and alignment on the purpose he assigned you on in this earth

At what institution of elementary level learning did Michael Thomas acquire the obvious lack of grammar he vividly displayed on X? If one is going to complain and blame others for one’s lack of performance it is essential that said allegations be clearly stated and easily understood. Thank God Thomas did not insist on using “They/Them” plural pronouns for his singular based complaint against the Saints to even more conflate his shit-show.

It was an absolute shame what happened to Michael Thomas. A 2nd round draftee who turned into an all pro, WON the triple crown, GOT paid, and then it all just FELL APART in 2020 with that ankle injury. He was just SLICK as a route runner and then THAT happens.

He just doesn't have the explosiveness out of his breaks and isn't dominating at the contested catches. Still had a decent year last year only playing 10 games

    M. Thomas was good when good when he had Drew throwing at him but after he retired M. Thomas sustain injuries which has slowed him down, his production has dropped mostly because of injuries.

Michael Thomas was an absolute elite pairing with Brees. Brees was a model of consistency when it came to accuracy and decision-making. Thomas wasn't going to burn anybody. However, his route running, big body, wingspan, and baseball mitt hands were perfect for a QB like Brees or even Bridgewater who was also consistent in accuracy, avoiding forced misplaced balls while being a surgeon in short-intermediate throws. Thomas got spoiled, big-headed, and his antics turned him into a diva. That aside, he was still a great WR but the ankle and knee injuries were to much for a elite possession guy who requires separation. Those injuries took away that 1 extra step he had and he couldn't just box out guys every play. He was good at it but that's too much physicality for someone injury prone in their later years.

Oh what are the chances that my team is the Rams? Yes I was watching that game while I was working at a resturaunt and even the crowd went nuts when that non PI penalty was called lmao I just watched in silence unconcious of anything that happened during that play because everything happened so fast I litterally lost consciousness lol The energy amongst my surroundings was way too strong to process the moment.
