It was a fans note requesting the band aid off of his right thumb, YUK! He chucks the note down and peels off the band aid and passes it to the fan for a keepsake of Ian. Throughout the rest of the song he licks the blood off his unhealed wound and wipes his thumb down his face. He later picks up and pockets the fans note for his own keepsake. I wonder if he still had that note today, or if the fan still still has the soiled band aid today. YUK!

I used to have the Dreamtime Cassette and the CD but foolishly threw the cassette out when i was clearing my parents flat out. If i remember correctly the cassette had the majority of this concert at the Lyceum on the B side. I also had the video of this concert. To this day that concert and W.A.S.P's Live In The Raw (Recorded in 84 at the Lyceum) remain my 2 favourite concert videos. And yes, the Canadian VHS contained a CD copy of the audio. The sound on the VHS is pretty poor because it was recorded without a HiFi track. Which is stupid. But you could get that CD/VHS set, pull the VHS video and CD audio to a computer, sync up the better-sounding audio to the picture, and then make a DVD of that. Pretty big pain in the arse to properly watch one of the best recoded gigs, ever! BTW the vinyl and cassette were each originally sold for $1.99 (abridged concert version.)

I bought cassette *VHS* in London at the *HMV store* 1986
It's not been available for years, I bought mine when the Dreamtime album came out in 1984, but I got the 'Gimmick' clip from the Canadian version that came out in the late 90s, which had the full set on. The original version didn't have that song on it. You see them crop up on Ebay from time to time.

These older style venues are much better for sound than modern soulless arena's
The kids of a coca-cola nation, too doped up to realize...This is such an excellent concert from their most interesting period. Plus Nigel shreds on drums. This needs to be released on DVD!!!

Well, damn! I met him years ago and could have asked but I doubt he'd even remember. I was surprised how nice and down to earth he was, I didn't even realize it was him until half way into our conversation.

I had high expectations when clicked "Read More" xDDDDDD
And yes, the Canadian VHS contained a CD copy of the audio. The sound on the VHS is pretty poor because it was recorded without a HiFi track. Which is stupid. But you could get that CD/VHS set, pull the VHS video and CD audio to a computer, sync up the better-sounding audio to the picture, and then make a DVD of that. Pretty big pain in the arse to properly watch one of the best recoded gigs, ever! BTW the vinyl and cassette were each originally sold for $1.99 (abridged concert version.)
Moyà and spiritwalker the Cult at there best 🎸🎸
Perfection.
Brilliant 👏 👏 👏 👏
Its Jamie Stewart
dig dig dig dug! I like that game and I dig this song!
Kinda like a lot of these older/rare CULT songs seem better today, than the new songs...like Hidden City isn't very good compared to the rare/cult classic's in my veiw...they lack really good rhythm & back bone, that most of the first albums & songs have...dig it ? Cool rock on Cult fans...

Yeah i like earlier&rare cult a lot more too...I've been listening to hidden-city over & over ...hoping that it might start sounding better... But it's still sadly just OK at best...the good old days are gone... Rock On
@Kelly14UK There's no offcial dvd of the show. I've got it on VHS but it's a bit pish quality. Might be someone who's transferred it. You can get the Lyceum live audio on itunes for £7.99. Decent quality.
hey ? Ithink ian got rid of sdc to form the cult?
It's John Curd, the gig promoter.
Lmao!!!!))) I was playing around with that part on my mac computer using garage band...lol...I was dubbing my voice in ,,,saying "turn those mother fucking house lights offff!!!!! ".. heee heeeee heeee............good stuff! Great song! Great Band!
Pity Astbury didn’t stick with the original Southern Death Cult lineup. Abandoned them too soon.

Jamie Stewart.
Accidently threw out the chrome cassette when I moved house ( EXPLETIVES). Is the DVD of the gig easily available? CD? Can't BELIEVE I DID that... God's Zoo, Christians, Bone Bag...
BrAvO!
Best time apart from southern death cult
LOVE THEM!!!! SPECIALLY ADAM AND THE ANTS!!!
I think the best band of the 80's and on into 2012 yikes!
Nigel was gifted but a junkie, no more no less. When we played with The Cult (later that year) they had to slow down each and every song cos Mr Preston couldn't hold the pace. Sad story...
