I first discovered it in school in the 70s that most people are followers. They follow what the crowd are doing. They want the 'in' thing, and I think our schooling system encourages the 'follow-the-crowd' mentality. They do not allow kids to think. Schools are all about cramming as much knowledge into kids as possible and they have to learn it parrot fashion. It's quantity over quality. They should have less on the syllabuses and give teachers time to teach and students time to ask questions and discuss. When I was in school and then college, most of our teachers were basically facts dictators and we were the secretaries busy trying to copy down their dictation.

This is the result of people trying to meld two things that just don't work together. They're trying to bend a system built to accommodate one thing for thousands of years around a tiny group that needs the system to work in opposite of what it does. They claim it's about compassion, but you can clearly see it's destructive to both the group they claim it's helping and society at large.

The “Sexuality And Gender Merger” Was A Marketing Mistake for Lesbians and Gays Authors’ Note - This essay is written strictly from a marketing perspective. Lesbians and Gays were unique strong brands built over centuries. It is my belief their merger with other sexuality and gender groups was a mistake on many levels. Definitions: Female - A Human with two X Chromosomes (XX) aka Biological Female Male - A Human with one X and one Y Chromosome (XY) aka Biological Male Lesbian - A biological female sexually attracted to biological females. Gay - aka homosexual, a biological male sexually attracted to biological males. Ls and Gs - Lesbians And Gays LGBTIQA+ - Stands for "lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer/questioning, asexual and many other terms (such as non-binary and pansexual)" BTIQA+ - Corrected Acronym with L & G removed. Stands for "bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer/questioning, asexual and many other terms (such as non-binary and pansexual)" Sexuality And Gender Merger - The combining of disparate, homogenous and unique sexuality and gender movements under one banner (Pride Flag, LGBTIQA+) Demerger - A demerger is a form of corporate restructuring in which the entity's business operations are segregated into one or more components. It is the converse of a merger or acquisition. Lesbians and Gays should not have allowed themselves to be grouped with any other sexuality or gender ideology under one joint flag, group or movement. This solidarity unfortunately makes the Ls and Gs suffer scrutiny for actions, statements and lifestyle choices of other members. This has decreased the standing of Ls and Gs in society, and tarnished their status. And of course it should have. It was a bad marketing decision. A phrase I have coined for this, The Sexuality And Gender Merger, was a marketing mistake with deep and wide negative consequences for Ls and Gs. Brave lesbians and gays fought for decades, if not centuries, to be recognized as human beings deserving of love, respect and human rights. Ls and Gs are fully integrated into society and accepted by all but the most extreme and fringe individuals. Ls and Gs had their own lobbies, and strong and unique groups dedicated exclusively to their issues. Why would they give those up so easily? All marketing experts know that adding voices to a platform can only decrease the strength of all of them. That is like Coca-Cola suddenly merging into the CRCsSO+ (Cola, Root Beer, Cream Soda, Seltzer and Orange) and allowing other members of that group to dictate advertising, events and outreach. This, of course, is ridiculous. Coca-Cola would never do this. But the Ls and Gs have done just that. The Sexuality And Gender Merger has caused a regression. Allowing themselves to be grouped with many others has mostly erased the unique voice and needs of Ls and Gs. It is my belief that mixing their messaging with other groups has decreased the power of Ls and Gs, and also adulterated the public’s perception of them by association. Lesbian and Gay once unique, clear and loud voices, have been muffled or erased by a cacophony of other voices stealing the spotlight, setting the agenda, and talking for them at this point. Anything one member of a group does or says, is seen as approved even by silent members. Homosexuality (lesbian and gay) and transgenderism are mutually exclusive so this union or grouping can never be cohesive. Let me explain. Ls and Gs rely exclusively on biological sex to maintain their sexuality definitions. Transgenders eliminate biological sex from their sexuality definitions. So, under transgenderism, a biological male, with male genitalia, can identify as a woman, and claim to be a lesbian, and accuse lesbians of being phobic if they won’t engage in intercourse. Under transgenderism, Ls and Gs no longer exist as biological sex is at the heart of their sexual identity. But yet, they are fighting under the same banner? Lesbianism and Homosexuality cannot peacefully coexist with transgenderism. In order for transgenderism to fully exist and be “accepted”, the biology based sexuality definitions of Lesbians and Gays must be eliminated. Again, just by definition, these concepts are mutually exclusive. Ls and Gs that voice these truths are quickly canceled. Just look up the term TERF. I believe this Sexuality And Gender Merger was purposefully done to erode the power and standing of Ls and Gs. At least this was the clear outcome. If they had stayed separate, the acts and statements propagated by the BTIQA+ movement could not be attributed to Ls and Gs. Unfortunately, all of LGBTIQA+ acts and statements are now seen as supported and endorsed by all Ls and Gs. Even though there are splinter groups of Ls and Gs, stating they are against some of the actions of their group members, their continued membership in the LGBTIQA+ has those offshoot movements seem hypocritical and insincere. The other letters / characters (BTIQA+) used the immense good will, credibility and acceptance that Ls and Gs fought and died for for centuries as if it was their own. Imagine Coca-Cola giving, for free, the use of its good will and universal name recognition to a competitor. Just as Coca-Cola would never merge, the Ls and Gs never should have allowed themselves to be so taken advantage of. Lesbians and Gays should execute a demerger from the LGBTIQA+ and fly their own flags as soon as possible. Lesbians and Gays once had the moral high ground. By association, they are voluntarily regressing to be seen as a fringe woke group. But, they can easily rebuild what they once had. Demerger is the answer. Seizing their voice back is the answer. LGBTIQA+ should become BTIQA+ now.

Compassion seems like a profound good, but parents have to come to the understanding that children are stupid and lazy, and that if they are going to make their own way in the world, they have to be forced to take responsibility for their own actions, to work hard to accomplish things by themselves, and to obey the strictures of society. Compassion alone would lead everyone to be lazy, ignorant, self indulgent whiners. Compassion has to be moderated by an understanding of what is ultimately good for individuals and society as a whole.
