Saving typically results in you earning a lower return but with virtually no risk. In contrast, investing allows you the opportunity to earn a higher return, but you take on the risk of loss in order to do so. Not reaching a million before retirement feels like an unfulfilled retirement.

I've come to realize that the key to amassing wealth lies in making sound investments. I purchased my first home at the age of 21 for $87,000 and sold it for $197,000. My second home, acquired for $170,000, was later sold for $320,000, and my third property, purchased at $300,000, fetched $589,000, with buyers covering all closing costs and expenses..

10 years ago I battled with severe depression, was hospitalized and put on all kinds of drugs that just made me more miserable than I had ever been in my life. There was not a day during that time I did not think about killing myself because it felt like there was no end to it. I did not think I would ever make it to see 21 and here I am now at 30 by the grace of God. The suffering made me tougher and harder than anything I had ever been through. I am a top producer in sales now, I am about to blue belt in Jiu jitsu, and the daily challenges that come I remind myself that I have Jesus, good people around me, and that if I can endure suffering like 10 years ago, then everything else is child's play. I relate so much with David because I was weak and I was bullied a lot of my life too but you don' t have to stay the way you are! God bless you David Goggins!

I think the breakdown of 80 are just targets one us a warrior would pee off some Iraq Vets. Logistics, comm and Intel all play a role. We do what the military needs us to do and not what we what to do. I wanted to be an officer but was too old. Cut off age was 25. No matter what you did you served and that's what counts. Semper Fi Sgt USMC
When I started last spring, it never occurred to me that I could run a 5k. That was too hard. And it was at first. But I had to do something so I used the elliptical, I used the lateral helix, I lifted weights, I resistance trained. I did all this because I am a disabled, immigrant, single mother of a 3 year old daughter and I didn’t want to suddenly die on her before I helped her craft her life. I was already getting up at 5 am and working until4:30 pm because when you’re the only person getting your kid to and from daycare and you still have to work 8 hour days, you learn to get up early. I told myself there was no time to work out. Until I remembered my hour at lunch. And that became my gym time and still is, to this day. Then one day, out of nowhere, maybe the elliptical was in use, i don’t know, I decided to try to run until I could stop. And to my amazement, I ran 5k that day. I didn’t get out of breath. My legs hurt like hell, my ankles and feet were pissed off but I was still breathing. So I kept going. Suddenly it wasn’t about just living for the next 18 years. That run, that day, lit a light at the end of a tunnel I didn’t know I was in. And that light showed me what I might be capable of. One day, after 30 minutes of sprinting, I realized something important. Running that first 5k was something I didn’t think I could do. And I’d done it. It hurt but I did it. But that run wasn’t anything special. It was just an arbitrary benchmark. And all these things that I’d assumed less difficult than that but still things I couldn’t do suddenly became possible in that moment. I quit my shitty job. I got a good job. It was a risk. I took it. I’m flying now. I’m in the middle of buying a house. Fear is a liar.

Fear is a liar, I like that.
Even though self-harm is a terrible thing, it helped me realize something when David was talking about that mental barrier. burning yourself hurts, cutting yourself hurts, but then you realize it's a barrier. Once you force that knife in you it doesn't hurt. Now I don't reccomend cutting yourself, but that applies to life with how it's gonna hurt like hell in the beginning but once you force yourself pass that barrier it's easy.
David Goggins saved my life. Over the past two years, I lost 100 lbs. I haven’t taken a day off. I am inspired by this man. No excuses. Nobody’s coming to save you; you must save yourself.
Dude talks with every cliche in the book, but because he backs it up so hard, it's so powerful.
After six yrs in prison falsely accused I found my passion and became an artist...so I totally agree with David goggins

David Goggins is an absolute legend and has definitely helped me in life. My father left when I was young so my step dad raised me. My step dad passed away 3 years ago when I was 23. Still young and thinking I’m ready for the world but then all this happened. Looking after mum and 2 younger brothers, I went into a really deep dark place where I really struggled with mental health I burnt my self out so much to the point I lost all concentration, focus and myself. It’s a constant nightmare however I did quit my Shitty job and just passed my first year at university. Things are good but this deep depression and fear is lingering constantly. I’m looking forward to the day I wake up there’s no noise in my head at all and I can legit just smile! I hope that you guys all achieve your goals and remain at peace. Whatever calamities you are facing will be over! Patience ! And stay positive ! X

His attitude is excellent. Never ever be ashamed to fail. Be inspired by failure. Well done David.
"Im trying to find more of myself, and the only way i can find more is to silence the world out as much as i can." Shit hit close to home. I may never work as hard as Goggins, but its nice to know theres someone else out there with the same mindset and drive.

I pray for him every day, I’m so grateful for him I don’t think I’ve ever admired a man the way I admire this man Tears of joy run through my face whenever I think of this man I rather listen to him than the pastors in the churches… He is God’s real prophet Thank you so much Mr Goggins I love you
It's so crazy because you can see tears welling up in his eyes when he tells this story. On the biggest podcast in the world. Fk, this guy is eternal inspiration personified.
“I’m not gifted, I’m just driven” Hits me right in the gut

“We live in a society where mediocrity is often rewarded” This is so true!
This man has unlocked the way to truly living authentically, going towards your fears, assuming the pain of discipline instead of the one of regret, all by being himself, being responsible and acting accordingly. I have HUGE respect for him, it's such a blessing to hear his words.
"I wanted to go somewhere besides defeat. I want to go the distance." Epic👏👏👏👏
" I want to be forever proud of who I was as a man" powerful stuff from a truly amazing individual. We can all learn so much from this chap.
I joined the US Army at 36 years old in 2008. Most people retire from the military at that age. I joined the infantry. I won the Iron Sergeant award for best PT score (348) fastest 2 mile run (10:57) at ALC (Advanced Leader’s Course) in 2012.

This hit my sole to the core. I went through probably the hardest year of my life last year losing 100 pounds. I did it myself. I shut off the whole world and grinded every freaking day. I didnt have anyone to help wake me up, tell me to go workout. I did it all on my own. I ran those miles. Im still running 5 miles every other day and doing 200 Pushups a day. I don't hang out with anyone with an I cant attitude anymore.

David Goggins truly a great. Helped me to realise boundaries only exist in the mind. If you want something to happen go and make it happen. Create that drive, become obsessed and go for it.
"I wanted to feel something besides defeat"... Those words will stay with me for the rest of my life
The first two minutes of this video changed my life. Masterful editing and great selection of Goggin’s podcast. This first two minutes really emphasizes the pain and drive it took. You can hear the suffering in his voice. The music is perfect. Great editing and selection of videos.

Man I love listening to Goggins
Great video... David Goggins is an inspiration and has the mentality that too much of this world's population lack... Self-belief, resilience, honesty to oneself, facing your fears and pushing past your perceived limitations (physical and mental). I was suffering from the deepest depression of my life around a year ago and suffered with it for around 3 years (probably like 10, but the severest was the last few years)... I listened to Goggins audio book 'can't hurt me' and it inspired me to get a grip of myself, shake myself and give myself a massive needed slap in the face... since then I've started a youths boxing club from my back garden coaching my kid and his friends, to moving our garden club to an actual mma centre where we have around 20 kids on rotation where I teach them to be more confident, disciplined and have self-belief... I started running, could only do 1/2 a mile and now I'm running about 10 miles a run, went from swimming 100m to now 1200m a session... I'm turning into the role model I wanted to be for my kids and far from the finished picture.... but it's life not a picture to be finished until I'm 6ft under. Thank you David Goggins, its people like you who share their story that helps people like me who need to hear the truth from ourselves!!!!
I listen to him twice a day as he inspires me beyond belief. Thank you
This guy is so inspiring. He doesn't even need to say anything. The before and after photos speak for themselves. I used to run, it was really liberating. But now I have a medical condition and am afraid to. Watching this gives me motivation to hit the bike instead. Thanks David Goggins for being badass.
