Welcome onboard my winning POV Full Run at the first ever Mountain Bike Mass Start Race in Asia.
The « Himalayan Enigma » was organized in the heart of Nepal, in Dolakha. More than being the first ever Mass Start race in Asia, it was also the biggest one in term of vertical drop (9000 feet), compared to the famous Megavalanche in L’Alpe D’Huez - France.
The track has been drawn on an ancestral path. The ‘Trail of the Gods‘ derives its name from the paths traveled by the exiled Pandava Brothers during their 13-year exile in the ancient Hindu epic, the Mahabharata. Among them, Bhimsen was revered as a god, with the Dolakha Bhimsen Temple marking his divine presence along this legendary trail.
Each rider started 150 feet below a sky-high Kalinchowk Bhagwati temple at 12361 ft and finished at the Tamakoshi River at 2821 ft.
At the end, YES, I won the « Himalayan Enigma » ! But as you know, it was clearly not the goal. On the other hand, I’m proud to donate my prize money to Arun, to pay the fee for his school, in addition to all the gifts that you’ve given to the Katmandou bike scene.

Hi Kilian! Your resilience and experience of rescue and first aid really worked out the other day. I couldn’t have made it without aid from you and the team, specially the Heli rescue as further injuries were prevented. Just wanted to let you know that you and your team were the right people at the right place for me specially and I appreciate the help immensely. Sorry to slow you down at the section where I crashed tho haha. Other than this, hope you had a really wonderful time here in Nepal and can’t wait to ride together the next time you’re back!

Generations of French have dreamt of Nepal, and of the kindness and sense of hospitality of the Nepalese people, since 1950 when the Nepalese authorities gave permission, for the first time ever, to a french expedition lead by Maurice Herzog - Louis Lachenal to climb the Annapurna, which they did successfully. ❤️ Nepal !

Dear Killian. I am a loyal fan of yours in all races. I don't know what I find more impressive; the beauty and difficulty of the routes you take or your bravery bordering on bravado, interesting and witty comments and the personal charm of a good, brave man. I simply lack the words to express my admiration for you. May the good Lord God always have you in his care, French brother. Best regards - Tadeusz from Poland

I just had really rough 2 weeks with a lot of school work. Somehow, these videos always motivate me. I might be really struggling right now, maybe even taking damage (you hitting the rock), but if I keep pushing, there will be a good ending. Your videos are perfect, very calm, but still full of action. It is exactly how I live. Saying this is fine, while there is an immense amount of pressure, not knowing what could happen, somebody or something pushing you from behind. All of this is how things work in real life, as well as in racing. It's the key to success, be calm and collected, while everything around is unpredictable, and chaotic. And that is exactly what I see in your videos, and it is also exactly what I need to do. I really hope this makes sense, it's hard to describe feelings. Thank you for the motivation boost that I so much needed, your videos just always remind me of what is really important.

Nice - thanks for the video! What an amazing race - and what beautiful nature Nepal has to offer! Two small things - maybe change the text box - fond - color - graphic - was a bit iffy - the more subtle and transparent look from the last Megavalance video paired up with a different design? And for the early parts the speedup was fine - get to the fun parts etc. - but speeding up while you ride through nature and on the mountain side with this nice view - that was a bit sad; Sure you might feel like you don't have something to comment on there - but that's okay, I personally don't need commentary all the time - insights + racing + nature, each can have their own moments. Anyway, I hope that all didn't come off to negative - thanks again for this amazing video - looking forward to the mentioned documentary+ Take care and stay safe and well for the holidays!

What an amazing thing to share, thank you so much! I enjoyed the comments in the video a lot. I like watching your videos and getting a feel for the race and environment, without any words, too. I am reminded of the channel Primitive Technology, which puts the captions behind KZread's CC. I often watch those videos once with captions off, then again with them on. Anyway, thanks for sharing this! Edit: PS I like the boring parts too, even at regular speed. It's nice you keep it interesting with the edits though. Perhaps a compromise could be marking times in the video to skip.

Great job KIlian! Loved the race video. The faces of the other riders who placed second and third were heartwarming. I could tell the race meant everying to them and they were proud to have pushed you to victory. If you keep making more videos, I will keep watching them. You are one of my favorites!

I am 70 years old, have a small home theater and an indoor bike. Today I watched your film while “riding my bike”. I didn't even know something like that was possible. I kept screaming and felt sick at the end of the ride. Nevertheless, thank you very much for this incredible experience. What you do is fantastic. I wish you a long, meaningful and healthy life from the bottom of my heart! 🙂

Kilian.........that was truly amazing to watch! There are times when you are focused, thinking, planning your next move; and then there are those moments when it's pure 'zen'.....no thought or concern, just movement and reaction. It's a wonderful thing to observe. Young Arun will always remember your kindness...Best wishes and a Happy New Year from the UK.🙏
