I was sitting in a Perkins eating pancakes and studying Latin the day he died, Perkins still had a smoking section then. Never been back to a Perkins since. I imagine he's lighting up the exterior afterlife now with his truth. Not no pussy heaven nor hell neither, he's made his own afterlife where he's got a farm because Ohio. On Lux's farm he has steaks from his cows every night and when you milk the cows it's scotch, and the chickens lay giant tabs of acid. An hour or two after dinner every night he rocks out in the barn for anyone who also winds up in his afterlife then after the show they all have rough sex as aftercare for the concert.

From the moment I held their 3-D album in my hands in like 1981, I knew that the Cramps were just what I needed! I used to buy these weird monster sounds/dance records when I was a kid in the '60s, read horror comics and watched monster movies, and loved it when a band went crazy while winking at the audience, just to make sure everyone was in on the joke. And a serious gag it was, all the way to the heart of chicken-fried American trash, where the diamonds are pressed. Go, man, go.
