Started "Way of Kings" during a surge of depression during peak 2020. Here I am a year later, caught up on Stormlight, mistborn, war breaker and elantris. Just waiting for arcana unbound, and white sands!! THANKS for your work. Learned that Hoid was a world-hoper early on, been making so many predictions since. Your channel is a treasure, friend!

@T.W. Raven - nicely done primer, even interesting for those who've read Sanderson. Again, thoughtful and detailed approach. While the idea behind the Cosmere and it's creation is alike to many creation/genesis stories and myths, the steady revealing of info and details remains one of the most fascinating things in Stormlight Archive. Of course I read Mistborn and attendant material, but I didn't much like it, cause I didn't like any of the main characters much, I thought them bland, until I understood the Mistborn material was written for younger readers, a bit like Shannara, maybe? The Stormligjht Archive, though, is a true pleasure to read. The Raven's commentary and opinions are a welcome bonus!

I have been watching your channel as reading The Way of Kings for the first time, and I have to say, it has been great to have a companion for the Cosmere. Great work and keep going! :)

I stumbled onto the Stormlight Archive series and in researching it before i read book 1 I found the Cosmere and now I am totally committed to the Cosmere

Brandon Sanderson posted that dragonsteal inc is looking for a social media/ graphic designer to mainly run social stuff with a little graphic design on the side. Idk if you have the skills but I nominated you lol

Another nice vid! One thing I hope Brandon does at some point in the future is write a fuller version of the ars arcanum from the end of the books and release that as more of a nice collectible book.

@Stormblessed @T.W. Raven - you probably already know this, but there is a book called Arcanum Unbounded. It's described it as an expansion of the ars arcanum in form of short stories in an ad at the end of a paperback I read a while ago. It was mentioned it also contains Lift and Nale's story, so I'm not sure if this is really what you're looking for - a handbook on the different form of investiture/methodology of magic and the elements used, whether metals, breath, stormlight, the Surges, etc, right? I'm afraid that one will have to written by Raven as his first publication. Question - has anyone ever heard anything about the Knight Radiant order of Willshapers?

@@RavensRants Sorry, I'm in a bit of a hurry, I'm using this place to ask a question. 1. Do you know anything bout the Order of Willshapers? 2. (pls remember and forgive I have no insights in Rhythm of War yet) - are we sure we've seen Kaladin use both his surges yet? Windrunners use Gravitation and Adhesion, but in the first 3 books I see them only use Gravitation. Sticking things to others - when they experiment in the chasms, they see GRAVITATIONspren, not adhesion spren, when Stormlight is painted somewhere and people get stuck - again gravitation spren. The ars arcanum mentions adhesion in connection with Full Lashing, binding things together, but as said above, when the guys try this(stone to rock, textile to rock, Rock the Horneater to ground, Lopen to rock wall, spears to debris and ground/rock and Kaladin and his pant seat to saddle leather), what they see are gravitation spren. Full Lashings using Adhesion and gravitation spren doesn't make any sense. How would Adhesion work as a Surge, anyway? Especially in connection with athmospheric pressure, as speculated in the ars arcanum (are we sure that's even completely trustworthy?).Cohesion I'd get... If this is a case of me being slow or too literal, please let me know, cause this is bugging me. Thank you.

Love this video. I really like the low instep of the level even though I read all books. Please make more videos on the connections of books, Hoid and the overall cosmere story so far as I am very simpel and can't connect it all myself

Hey when should I read arcanum unbound? And in what order ?

Depends on what you are reading. Don’t read the entire thing unless you are at the point where all the short stories take place. For example if you are reading stormlight read edgedancer after words of radiance but nothing else in arcanum unbounded.
