“The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” reveals a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return to star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, under the direction of Michael Chaves (“The Curse of La Llorona”). The film also stars Ruairi O’Connor (Starz’ “The Spanish Princess”), Sarah Catherine Hook (Hulu’s “Monsterland”) and Julian Hilliard (the series “Penny Dreadful: city of Angels” and “The Haunting of Hill House”).
“The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” was produced by James Wan and Peter Safran, who have collaborated on all the “Conjuring” Universe films. Chaves directed from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (“The Conjuring 2,” “Aquaman”), story by James Wan & David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, based on characters created by Chad Hayes & Carey W. Hayes. Serving as executive producers were Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Victoria Palmeri, Michael Clear, Judson Scott and Michelle Morrissey.
The behind-the-scenes creative team reunited “Conjuring” Universe contributors, including director of photography Michael Burgess, production designer Jennifer Spence, costume designer Leah Butler and composer Joseph Bishara, along with the director’s editor from “The Curse of La Llorona,” Peter Gvozdas, and editor Christian Wagner (“Furious 7”).
“The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” is the seventh film in the “Conjuring” Universe, the largest horror franchise in history, which has grossed more than $1.8 billion worldwide. It includes the first two “Conjuring” films, as well as “Annabelle” and “Annabelle: Creation,” “The Nun,” and “Annabelle Comes Home.”
New Line Cinema presents An Atomic Monster/A Peter Safran Production, “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It.” It will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film opens in theatres and IMAX nationwide on June 4, 2021 and will be available on HBO Max for 31 days from theatrical release. The film is rated R for terror, violence and some disturbing images.

Just watched it with my sis. This movie was amazing! Even better than quiet place 2! There was unpredictable events from start to finish, a thrilling and very diverse storyline, and horrors and effects were well done. Roten tomatoes and metacritic scores are trippin!!

I heard a lot people saying this is not as good as the first two because the director changed. Don't get fooled, people. This movie is good, and the direction is *chef's kiss.* Haven't seen such a beautifully shot and edited movie in a long while.

The part where the witches bones get broken is so creepy. and when the grandpa’s neck got slit made me so sad.. and the forest scene was SOOOOO creepy yet cool.
I jus watched it today in theatre.So worth it watching! Love all of the conjuring sequeals! The storyline,the script,the special effects were awesome! Kudos to the entire film crew. Everyone should watch it!! I hope the conjuring team does another hit sequeal☺ impressive for sure. With love from singapore!!!

I just came back from the cinema watching this and honestly one of the best cinema experiences ever such a good movie
I just watched this film this afternoon and I`d say it didn`t let me down. The Conjuring 3 saved and continued the style of the two previous and brought us a resonbale, thrilling, and interesting story. No dull moment in this film, jump scares and terrifying music just appeared at appropriate time. I am satisfied with these (My heart actually skipped a beat when one of a jump scares appeared but I cannot tell you this scene XD). Many feel more like a detective TV show but I do not think it is discordant or break the Conjuring Universe law. In contrast it provides us a new view of the Conjuring instead of just an exorcism story in an old house. Whatever, I do think it is an underrated film.
That kid on the waterbed has been in so many horror movies there's no way he hasn't been scarred for life yet

I think the story of the Garden of Eden was told to the author by God as more of a metaphorical story then literal, cause, would you judge someone for eating a fruit when they didn't know it was wrong to do so? They were told not to eat it by God, but they did not know it was wrong yet

Idk why but the way the guy says "i think i hurt someone" sounds really satisfying to me. The shaky voice makes the line so much better

Knowing that most of this was based on a true story amazes me. I love ghost hunting and all that stuff, so this movie was drawn to me I guess that’s how you put it. Beautiful acting. I loved how they portrayed the characters so well. Can’t wait for more creepy movies.
vera farmiga and patrick wilson's chemistry is insane af i feel ed and lorraine's passion and whatever go through on the movies.... i really feel it.

I use to live on the road where this murder happened in Brookfield, CT. I recently moved but the freakiest part about it is there’s a cemetery almost directly across from the building the murder happened in.
Best horror movie I’ve watched in years, probably since the 90s. And yes. The Devil made me watch it.😏🔥🔥🔥

I'm a huge horror fan and this came out on my birthday. I actually ended up seeing it by myself, my sibling was at school (I had already graduated) and my parents at work, in a small theater. I liked it ! I'm used to horror so the jump scares didn't really get me, but the scenes where there's demonic possessions are so captivating ! I really liked the story as well. Gotta say, my favorite part is when the police officer hands his colleague the money after Lorraine identifies the murder weapon 😂💀
Excellent movie. It’s strange that I describe a horror film as beautiful 🤷🏿♀️..🤣 but it’s a classic horror film with a story of love. I’d say the ending credits truly freaked me out more than the actual film. Great movie overall 👍🏿

They do have great chemistry, but I'd bet money that's a dream sequence or one of Lorraine's visions. Not a spoiler, just a guess. I wouldn't bet a lot, though cause you never know.
At this point I don’t even watch Conjuring movies because they’re scary, I’m just interested in Ed and Lorraine Warren’s cases.

I just watched “the devil on trial” on netflix which is the story that this movie is based from and the clips in this movie is far from the original story there are some scenes that are added to make it look like it’s scary lol
Seeing this tonight! So excited :) these movies never fail to disappoint!
