Ойындар

The Prince of Persia franchise has a long and storied history, which spans 4 different timelines and 11 games - and that doesn’t even include the 4 separate versions of the Forgotten Sands. With the release of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, there is no better time to dive back into the lore and timeline of Ubisoft’s adventure franchise.
This is the Prince of Persia franchise fully explained.
00:00 - Intro

I’m still upset we won’t get the final chapter of Prince of Persia 2008 game. It’s also a great game but that ending in the dlc gave me a sequel is happening but it never did. That said, I’m loving the review for this new Prince of Persia game. I held my hype because of Ubi’s history when it comes to online service. But they were on a roll with Assassin’s Creed Mirage, so I’m looking forward to PoP.

Thanks a lot for this video. I didn't finish all of the games while finished The two Thrones like 14 times lol. That enlightens a lot what is the real canon story of the "principal" trilogy and why some stuff at the Two Thrones happened the way they happened. That franchise inspired many things in my life, the most visible one being that I choose to become a parkour practicioner and then a circus artist, because I loved to pretend that I was some kind of acrobat warrior as a child. Actually it still inspires me a lot and I love it. Thank's for the video :)

If we want to be technical, and I do, in the original 1989 Prince of Persia you play as a simple wanderer, whom falls in love with the princess. It's not until the end of the game in which he becomes the Prince of Persia. "The Tyrant Jaffar lies defeated, his power shattered. The people of Persia hail their Princess, and the brave youth who saved her from the forces of darkness. No longer a stranger, he shall from this day forth be known as Prince of Persia"

  • @krycekuva

i do wonder tho if they can happen in the same timeline. different princes in different moments in time in one same universe. the 2008 PoP is the first one taking place probably 2000 bc since its inspired by Zoroastrianism and taking place in an ancient setting. the sands of time saga takes place in Babylon, so the earliest it can happen is 1894 BC give or take a couple of 100 years. BUT since solomon "died" in 930 BC, i guess his army buried and then warrior within and the two thrones can only happen afterwards. the lost crown is set in persepolis and persepolis doesn't exist until around the 6th century BC giving some 200 years wiggle room between the sands of time and the lost crown. the original trilogy is set in a medieval persia. probably 500/600 AD... my point is,... they can all be happening in the same universe, just 100s years apart.

Jaffar was the name of a real historical vizier. He appears in some stories of the Arabian Nights and Mechner has based the videogames partially in that book. I suppose it's the same influence in Disney's Aladdin film. But the character in the book is not evil in any of the tales he appears. There are other nasty viziers who plot to take over the power in their kingdoms.

For Prince of Persia 3D: I think the plot with the vow for an arranged marriage between the Sultans daughter and his brother son isn’t really weird. That was very common politics at that time all over the world. Just look at Europe and the Habsburg monarchy 😭Persia wasn't any different. Marrying a cousin was widely accepted. The only thing weird is that his son is some kind of human animal hybrid 😅 I mean yes the series had magic before but it didn't have any intelligent non-human species.

I think i like the previous prince of persia character design than the new one!! The past version has cool persian hairstyle with iconic face, but the new one is like prince from wakanda forever!! 😬✌🏻

Did you even watch the video? He isn't the prince of Persia, the prince is another character in the game.

Why is it whenever the prince is in these situations he always finds himself without a proper blade? No matter, if he did. Maybe this video would never have happened.
