This guy reminds me a little bit of Roy Keane in a sense he is way more intelligent than people give him credit for. Keane was in a different league as a player obviously though. Both of them have done daft things off the field, but I think labeling them as idiots is a bit hasty. Having moments of extreme anger doesn't necessarily make you a complete idiot. Everyone makes mistakes. Keane to his credit didn't take his antics to the extreme like Barton and he realized he had to stop drinking, while Barton had to learn the hard way. At the end of the day you know were you stand with these people. They are honest and I find Joe Barton very interesting to listen to, he is a bright lad, unlike many other footballers.

He seems not only level headed, but nice. However, at 23:20 - Joey Barton talks about how he really likes purple (the colour) and then it becomes obvious if you look around; everything is purple. The backgrounds to all the graphics, the furniture, some parts of the walls were purple etc.; I think they put purple everywhere to calm him, making sure wherever he looked, he saw some purple. Clare Balding probably had a purple card in her pocket in case he got enraged.

Celtic fan, I think the biggest mistake Barton made was signing for that shower of sh-te across the city haha, I have always liked the guy, football needs guys like him, originally football was played by the working man for the working man now everything is all the pc crap and guys like Barton kept it real, btw I think football now over priced and over hyped crap, cant wait for a breakaway league with big proper clubs like Celtic and Rangers leading the way.
Reviens a l'OM !
Do your bird😆
Barton has as much chance of mature people listening to his views as he has of bedding Ms Balding.

+Francis Artanis Yuk, what a vile thought
I'd love to take him seriously but he's just an egocentric egotistical maniac who always seems to use the wrong adjective or adverb in the wrong way.

You don’t sound too clever yourself lad . At least he has character , you just sound like a dickhead
so being working class is not normal?.........vilolence , murders, drinking, fucking and fighting is 99% of the british way of life.......joey barton is working class through and through , just a guy with money who could kick a football .........

Yeahh.. 99% of working class british men commit murders. Obviously.
Joey Barton using long words is very similar to polishing a turd.
