One of the few professionals who has the right priorities these days -- it should be about trying to win vs all the other factors that most are concerned with. Barton has developed into a high level leader and winner -- not saying he's been that way his whole career, but he is now.

I believe that's true - he is a bit too passionate perhaps - and in new environments you may need to temper it a bit. I think when season is over, they'll be thrilled that he was on the team.

I would argue the mediocre part of that - not a glamorous style he plays, but vital -- and virtually every team he's played for he's left behind thousands of fans who admire his commitment and effort. And for the record, I despised this man for many years, but it's been a pleasure to watch him mature and improve on and off the field. I think this will be counted as a successful season for him at Rangers when it's all said and done.

Suspended for another week, ruled out for Hampden. I'm a Celtic fan but I almost feel bad for Joey, he's been used as a scapegoat for the Old Firm, he paid out of his own pocket to go to that training facility to show his commitment to the club, comes back and gets suspended again for no reason. Here's the truth, Rangers cant afford his wages, he was brought into sell season books, now they're toying with him, they're poking him over and over until he finally snaps, until he says something and they can say that he's violated his contract and they can release him. Rangers are at war with sport direct who wont sell their shirts, they are at war with their sponsors who are pissed off that they've paid all this money to have themselves on the Rangers shirt, and they're not. So where the fuck are they getting this 30 grand a week from? Rangers have completely used him. He seems like a nice guy, he even wanted to sign for Celtic, even if he is a twat sometimes, its a shame for the guy.
