@Bones Jones - He said very clearly that it was the London Schools Cup Final though, so the OPs own team must have had a lot of talented players to have reached that final, not some run of the mill Sunday league match. In London you've got crazy good youth sides like Senrab who have a better % of players going on to play pro than many academies.

@Bones Jones - You also get the kids who are bigger, stronger and faster than everybody else at 12 and 13 so just dominating on the youth pitches, and then get found out for not being anything special technically when everybody has caught them up physically by 15 or 16 though, not uncommon (albeit I suppose what I've just written is completely irrelevant to our little honorary Brazilian!)

Out of Rio lampard Carrick and other young English players.. Joe cole for me at wast ham was the most technically gifted player.. he was a teenager small looked 13😂 but when he got the ball you got excited he was gliding by top class players men and making it look easy.. but the rest went on to playing everyweek at top team's.. Joe ended up falling out of favour at Chelsea didn't fit Jose mourinho style at that point.. if he had stayed at West ham they could have built a team around him .. and even after the injuries he went to France think it was nice .. but there fans loved him.. I think France or Germany or la Liga. Would have suited Joe's style.. give him the ball and let him do his thing 🤷 never happened.. and if Ange gets offered 100 million for Kane he will sell him.. crazy as it sounds he's not a Ange type striker.. he got rid of two strikers that were Harry Kane esk type strikers penalty box good finishers but Ange sold them.. if man unt offer spurs 100mill or abit less.. Ange will take that money and try use it to towards building his own team

I have a theory about Jimmy - i am either spot on or way off 😅 I think he was an absolute brilliant little player. Everything came easy to him, he was having a grand life playing football and being himself, a real jack the lad personality. I don't think for a second he realized he could go up a gear as he always did well enough. He really needed to go to a top club with a good coach, manager who demanded more from him, who showed him what he was capable of. But then, would he have been happy ...and the Jimmy we all appreciate 🤷‍♀️ 🤷‍♂️

Di Canio at Celtic was proper filthy. His best years at 27-28. As a rangers fan you just knew him and Larsson were different class. We had awesome players then too and won the league in the two seasons he was there. With the likes of Gascoigne, Laudrup, McCoist, Bjorklund, Goram, Gough, Albertz, T Steven etc One of the last seasons Scottish football could compete with the very best. But what a player. ps Joe Cole late to the game at 11 was the norm back then. Most players were around that age when they start playing 11-a-side. He was kicking a ball about with his mates for at least 4-5 years before his first 11-a-side. Under 12's were around the lowest age grooup teams back then. Not like today where you are training at 6-7-8 with pro teams.

Pre Jose Joe Cole was crazy skillfill. Jose made him more effective but killed the skillful part of his game. The tricks he pulled off at West Ham were worth the price of a ticket alone, though he wasn't always the most effective and his final ball wasn't alwasy the best.

He still pulled tricks at chelsea and he only played 2 and a bit seasons under Mourinho. Jose did change him a bit but made him much more efficient and effective the main reason we didn't get see him play centrally as a number 10 was Chelsea didn't play with that system and the centrally attacking midfielder was Frank Lampard and Joe with zero disrespect towards him could not match Frank's output from midfield to be fair no midfielder could then or even now so he stayed on the wing and was an utter joy to watch and is legend of Chelsea

stop the nonsense, he had a great career at chelsea and achieved alot! He wouldve achieved ZERO at West Ham! at Chelsea he played 289 games, won 8 trophies and a Champions league runner up! Those trophies include 2 Premier League titles in his first 2 season at Chelsea which played alot, Jose was fired in Joe Coles 3rd season 2007/08. He also played under Carlo Ancelotti & Scolari, he won a league title with Ancelloti

@@joemorley5536 amazing coaches who actually understand how to win trophies dont care about Rabona kicks mate! Joe Cole at Chelsea was solid, injuries are what ruined him! Rabona kicks are for the clowns playing at White hart lane and Upton park! Joe Cole was first team of the best team in England over his playing time! 8 trophies in 7years, his attractiveness wouldve taken him nowhere and won nothing, thats my point! He went to a team that won the most trophies between 05-12 and he contributed massively! Its like Neymar in Brazil compared to when he played in big games in Europe or PSG!
