I just purchased this watch and am waiting for delivery. I like the dive info on the band, it's adds to the function of the watch.

I have the blue NY0040. I'm glad that they didn't discontinue the style. I love these 8 o'clock crown Citizen divers. They are so unique.

I like you pointing out that the Promaster Automatic's charm lies in its understated, kind of military, mildly vintage, distinctly tool watch appeal. (Even more so the NY0040 which was used in the Italian navy.) A bit of that got lost with its eco drive successor BN0150. With its larger cylindrical case, sloped bezel top, bolder numerals, charcoal dial, polished bezel grooves it looks quite a bit flashier and dare I say cheaper despite its superb functionality.

I have owned and worn this Promaster Dive Coke bezel watch for over 2 years now after purchasing it from Starbuy. Although it's not a daily wearer it is part of my rotation of watches and I appreciate its smaller size. As I wear this on my right wrist its super comfortable with the crown being on the left. The lume is fine but requires a decent charge up with natural sunlight to work at its best. I love the fact it is a real diving watch and having it on the hard rubber strap means it's durable and feels tough. I have the Eco Drive one in green one a soft rubber strap and prefer its grab and go nature. The movement is a little noisy but still keeps accurate time after two years, gaining around 5 seconds a day. Although its mineral glass it has not scratched despite being used for swimming at the beach and hiking mountain trails. It is a dinosaur I agree, but I love its solid reliability. Thanks for the great review it was one of the reasons I bought this watch.

I have this exact model. After three years, I've swapped the rubber band for a khaki NATO, though it's still perfectly usable.

This appears to be a newer issue of the iconic ISO certified Citizen Promaster NY0040-09 which famously was the standard issue dive watch for the Marina Militare from roughly 1997 through 2007. The Marina Militare pressure tested the watch to 500 meters.The crown is at the eight o'clock position to make it more easily accessible , not because it is meant to be worn on the right hand.

how many seconds does this watch lose/gain per day ?

I bougth One of this Citizen model but mine was really poor in lume,now Is in guarantee i Hope that when i get It back it Is All rigth anyway nice whatch and very confy

Bought the pepsi version. The day date was microscopic. Nice build, but not recommended if want to use that. Seiko SKX009 much better in that regard.

You say you dont like the "Divers 200" it's there to donate it is an ISO rated genuine Dive watch???
