If this is your favourite song by The Church you should listen the wonderful acoustic live version of it from Newport 2005 that was released as b-side to the single "Easy" in 2006. You find it also on youtube!

Despite the popularity of other Australian bands, the Church would have to be the Australian band that got played the most on my turntable and later, CD player. This song has to be a timeless masterpiece

Steve Kilbey apologised for this song on the liner notes of Hindsight. Seance was the album that was going to explode them internationally. He thought this song was the wrong choice as the first single. Unbelievable.....

I hear you. I was 13 when I first heard of them. It was The Remote Luxury album that I ran out and bought when I first watched their video. I was mesmerized.

I saw them on the 'starfish' tour, in a relatively small venue, and they played a good amount of Blurred Crusade. Excellent.

A good song. But Seance is such a great album that this song is only about my 7th favorite (of 12 songs, if you include the 2 b-sides). Shame that the Church turned their back on the album, more or less. Although I did go to a concert where they played It Doesn't Change. But I've never heard of any concert at which they played Disappear?, which is my fave ever Church song. If they had played it live, we might have got to hear the guitar solo in full, which gets mixed out partway through in the album/only version :-(
