i saw them live for the first time in october. was an incredible performance and an awesome atmosphere
Steve Kilbey, thank you for everything you have done over the years. If your songs were painting sir, they would be on every wall and every pocket. God blessed you...
I wasn't going to watch this, you know save it for another day but started watching it and well . . . i'm still watching it.
Steve Kilbys voice is on another level.
"Unguarded Moment" remains to this day, one of the most soulful and ethereal rock songs ever penned! My Church! ❤
The SOUND in this performance is ASTOUNDING, as are The Church. Long Live.
Steve Kilbey still has one of the most incredible voices in music ever.
Such a great voice. It's so good to have the Church making music again. 🤟🏼 That was a really nice acknowledgment to how Music of the Church helped you cope. It was a warm blanket for many of us out here. Songs that are relevant forever. 🫵🏼 🎶❤️🌎👈🏼
Albert Ross, rocking so hard acoustically. Only Steve and the Church are so 50 light years ahead of the times.
Great to see Ash Naylor in the lineup, there's aural gold dust on everything he touches!

love you Steve Kilbey ,mostrooooooooooooo!!!
I've been a Church fan since I first discovered them in 1981. Apart from Steve Kilbey, a totally different line-up - yet unmistakably The Church

YES! The sound just evolved, as did the band. I got into them the same time, and am still a fan.
outstanding music, a band that just gets better and better and always delivers.
Realm of Minor Angles is just absolutely brilliant!
Another musical discovery! Thank you KEXP!

You have plenty to catch up. If you don’t mind me saying it, I’d start with their album Priest=Aura. 👊🏼
Such an amazing band! This past October we got to see their concert in Clearwater Florida and they did not disappoint. Thanks KEXP for having them on your show.
As always.... stellar performance... by the most stellar band. Thank you gentlemen... and thanks to KEXP for always hooking up a great session!
If you don’t love Australian bands then you don’t love music!
This IS The Church. Thank you, Steve, Ian, Jeffrey, Ash, and Nick for this amazing music and love the two new albums and future albums. See you in the Pacific Northwest again!
Saw them at the University of Wollongong in 1983, and have been hooked ever since. Off to see them again in a few weeks in Philly! So excited. Wonderful band!
First listen to this band. They are awesome. Great show & the host incredible.
Outstanding performance, this one
One of the world's most under rated band. Starfish was on constant rotation in my youth.

Mine too.
it's a shame that just 31.800 people have watched this. Criminally underrated band. People this days just prefer to hear and watch the "sons and daughters" of this band and their legacy.
The Church!!!!! 🙌🏼
Glad to see the boys still at it! STARFISH is an all time classic!!
since the mid-eighties, they fill my heart with magical emotions
The CHURCH es mi banda de ROCK favorita, la mas grande todos los tiempos...
WOW !!!!!! I Loved these guys when I was young !!!! Really was the soundtrack/ background music to my life.
Hey, what a great song to begin with!
They came through Austin back in October and it was my favorite show. EVER!
Отличный канал! Здоровские группы! Очень приятно слушать и смотреть! Спасибо.
I bought this album the day I shaved for the first time. My dad gave me a razor and some shaving cream. I went to Strawberry Records and bought this album. 1988.
Just a shout-out to John, and maybe Steve too ... I had the same thing from the Starfish album ... I had a depression going on ... thought that a move would help. Didn't. Then a bit of living with someone. Made it worse. Took time out to get things together a bit. Kept this one album on near constant rotation. Why? Because it doesn't reinforce one particular mood, but it doesn't present anything emotionally irrelevant either. And that album has the best two-song bring-you-home in the world: A New Season and Hotel Womb. The fact of it helping you to experience different moods before pulling you through an 'onslaught of calm" ... this gives the album a somewhat therapeutic edge to it. So, thanks to Steve, Richard, Peter and Marty for that one. And, for everything since then, thanks to everyone else, too. And, to John, thank you for opening up about Starfish. I think there may be many of us for whom there was some degree of healing from listening to it.
Nice new The Church album! And due this live show found out of Jeffrey Cain and their with Steve other project - Isidore
THE CHURCH OMG 💙💙💙💙💙
I would watch that movie
They need to have “The Alarm” on here 💪
Church for ever!☝️
Excellent!
Soooooooooooo good!! 🔥🔥🔥
The blurred Crusade album is an absolute jewel!
Realm of Minor Angels is as good as anything The Church have ever done. They've soundtracked so much of my life and I can never thank SK + co enough

I concur!. BSL is a must for KEXP. Songs such as The Prisoner, DNA, The Fear, Leave, Spin, Relax and Breath, Behind Your Window just to name a few.... Even better, BSL go out and support The Church on there next big Aussie tour. Now that would be heaven...
8min in, when the singer reply about the city where the band had a hard time, I was SURE he would say Paris :P I live here and go to many gigs. Not to put the blame on the bands, but while 'we' can be a tough audience, we can also give a lot to the bands. As long as they don't take it for granted that the audience will like them ;) Ask Queen of the Stone Age (Nick Oliveri era) how wild it's been when they came for Songs for the Deaf. Or Micah P Hinson who apparently had a good time last time he came over... But on the other hand, ask the Beastie Boys how they got treated when they did that gig in Elysee Montmartre and started acting 'cocky'. They sure did not see that one coming! Or Kasabian, the Flaming Lips or any bands that showed up thinking it was granted that people will cheer. Well it ain't granted. I have more good memories of bonding with the bands than bad ones though... hopefully The Church will get back on conquer Paris.
How could " under the milkyway" not be included in the setlist ?
Good stuff! I'm hearing some serious Bowie channeling
NICE :D

Does anyone know what the guitarist is holding at 03:27? It looks like a device with laser that holds the sound?

Well, when you love guitars you need guitarists, how is it a problem?
Saying “This is The Church” is tantamount to saying “Roger Waters is Pink Floyd”. It’s Steven Kilbey with some decent musicians who listened to The Church, like John.

Sorry but The Church has always been Steve Kilbey as the main songwriter... and for a good reason too. What else should they be called? It's not his fault the others left the band... Stop being a knob.

The Church has always been Steve’s band as he’s mentioned in an interview. As the original and long running members move on, it becomes his band exclusively.

Nonsense, it is absolutely The Church and every bit as valid as earlier iterations.
