In the US it’s 16. In Germany, Austria and other european/western countries it’s 14 years, but the age gap shouldn’t be more than 3 years. Maybe it’s similar in Bangladesh, but nobody cares.

This hurts me so much to watch. The fact I can understand what they're saying (as I am originally from Bangladesh) makes it feel all the more real for me and makes it hit home. Knowing that I've lived a relatively privileged life in the UK while these children are having to grow up in the most awful environments, having to witness or be surrounded by the most awful things. It's really upsetting.

I am from Bangladesh and am now living in Canada. I used to live in Jeshore, which was close to this brothel. I used to hear about this brothel quite frequently. However, I did not pay much attention to this subject. I started to realise the situation in Doulatdiar when I visited Dhaka, and the media discussed this issue on television. Watching this video broke my heart. Watching young girls and little children go through this in my country, as well as the other inconveniences many Bangladeshi individuals must endure. To this day, I get chills running down my spine thinking about what the women and children that inhabit this brothel go through every day. I hope this will all change one day, and the innocent individuals that inhabit this town will be free after many years, and for some, for the first time in their lives.

From being sold at 8 and now to be 30 still longing to find her mother, or that her mother will find her. Such a different world than ours

Theres even a documentary on youtube about children of male sex tourists from European countries primarily, like germany and Australia.they never meet their fathers and dont even know what their names are.Foreigners only come to take advantage of and exploit the women there. They dont see value or worth in the women in a genuine way.

Every time I watch documentaries like these, I will forever be grateful that I was fortunate enough that I have never experienced such heart-wrenching situations. My heart goes out to all the women / girls who have experienced that.

When the mention of "being tricked by boyfriends", it reminded me of the Netflix movie 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. I went through a range of emotions watching the movie. It gave a glimpse of how they can never repay or escape the brothels. That adoptive "mother" (SMH) I can read her body language...she's planning to retire early with a younger replacement. I wish that we could have updates on the little girls.

When you refer to a Child of her age as she's somehow not able to distinguish between right and wrong and in fact being ignorant to the environment that they live, I think that you give him too little credit. When they experience traumatic events as effect to violence, separation from family, sexual abuse etc. they also build up resilience that is scientific proven to be found in childrens behavior at early ages. Hearing this girl speak about how she just wants to play is making me want to cry because she sounds just like I did when I was a kid. I'm so greatful this isn't my life and I hope she can one day escape and live a normal life too.

This just breaks my heart!! All those lost people and children with no one to turn to, so they do the only thing they know can pay the bills!! Simply heartbreaking.

When the man said "i dont feel bad" I was like: just come in front of me one time
